INTRODUCTION
- The journey from shame to fame is a powerful narrative that is evident throughout the Bible. God specializes in turning situations around, lifting the downtrodden, and transforming stories of disgrace into testimonies of His grace and favour.
- Isaiah 61:7 declares, "Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance." This passage underscores the divine exchange God offers to His people—a shift from shame to honour, from humiliation to celebration.

1. UNDERSTANDING SHAME:
   - Shame can stem from past mistakes, failures, or circumstances beyond one's control. It can be a crippling emotion that affects one's identity and sense of worth.

   - Biblical examples of individuals who experienced shame include Hannah (1 Samuel 1), who faced the shame of barrenness, and David (Psalm 51), who bore the shame of his sin.

2. GOD'S POWER TO TRANSFORM:
   - Ruth's Story
(Ruth 4:13-17): Ruth, a Moabite widow, faced a bleak future filled with uncertainty and shame. However, through God's providence, she found favour with Boaz and became part of the lineage of King David and ultimately Jesus Christ. Her story demonstrates how God can turn shame into a lineage of honour.

   - Hannah's Breakthrough(1 Samuel 2:8):
Hannah, once mocked and humiliated for her barrenness, was lifted by God. After fervent prayers, God blessed her with a son, Samuel, who became a great prophet in Israel. She sang a song of praise to God, declaring how He lifts the needy from the ash heap and seats them with princes.

3. PRINCIPLES FOR MOVING FROM SHAME TO FAME:
   - Trust in God's Promises:
Isaiah 61:7 promises a double portion for our shame. When we trust God and lean on His promises, He turns our shame into glory.

   - Maintain a Humble and Repentant Heart:
David's story shows that when we repent sincerely, God can restore us (Psalm 51). God is drawn to those who are humble and repentant, and He delights in transforming their stories.

   - Faithful Obedience:
Ruth's obedience to Naomi and her faith in God led to her divine connection with Boaz. It is in our obedience that God positions us for His blessing.

4. THE DIVINE EXCHANGE:
   - When God turns shame into fame, He doesn’t just restore; He multiplies blessings. As with Job, who after his period of suffering and shame, received a double portion of everything he lost (Job 42:10).
   - In Isaiah 61:3, God promises to give "a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."

5. TESTIMONIES OF TRANSFORMATION:

1. Joyce Meyer: From Abuse and Shame to Global Ministry Leader.
Joyce Meyer, a well-known Christian author and speaker, faced years of sexual abuse by her father during her childhood, which left her with deep emotional scars, shame, and low self-worth. Despite this, she encountered the transforming power of God's love. Mandisa, a popular Christian contemporary music artist and former American Idol contestant, battled obesity and depression for many years. After facing public criticism and even being ridiculed on national television, she struggled with shame and self-worth issues. However, her faith in God led her to a breakthrough moment, where she decided to turn her life around. She lost over 100 pounds and shared her journey of healing and transformation through her music. Mandisa’s album "Overcomer" became a testimony of God's power to turn situations around, winning her a Grammy Award and impacting many lives worldwide.

4. Nick Vujicic: From Hopelessness to Worldwide Inspirational Speaker

Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs, a condition that led him to face severe bullying, depression, and thoughts of suicide during his childhood. He felt a deep sense of shame and hopelessness. However, an encounter with God’s love and a realization of his unique purpose changed everything. Nick founded *Life Without Limbs*, a ministry that reaches millions with a message of hope and faith. Today, he is an internationally known motivational speaker, travelling the world to inspire people to overcome their challenges through faith in God.

5. Christine Caine: From Rejection and Abuse to Global Advocate for Justice

Christine Caine grew up experiencing abuse, rejection, and feeling like she didn’t belong. She discovered later in life that she had been adopted, which further compounded her feelings of shame and abandonment. However, she encountered God's healing power and embraced her identity in Christ. Darryl Strawberry, a former Major League Baseball player, was once a household name for his extraordinary talent. However, his career was marred by drug addiction, multiple arrests, and public scandals, leading to great shame and a fall from grace. After hitting rock bottom, he encountered God's grace, turned his life around, and became a Christian minister. Today, he uses his platform to share his testimony of redemption and transformation, helping others find freedom from addiction and hope in Christ.

7. A Sister who was disciplined by both the church and choral group for fornication, prayed and asked for God's forgiveness. She later became the most wanted worship leader in the church.

8. Olusegun Obasanjo rose from Prison to become a civilian President of Nigeria in 1999.

9. Nelson Mandela became The first South African president from prison, after the apartheid. He was imprisoned for 29 years.

These testimonies show that no matter the level of shame or the depth of the pit one finds himself/herself in, God can lift anyone out and transform their lives into testimonies of His grace, love, and power.
God is still in the business of turning shame into fame and making beauty from ashes.

CONCLUSION:
- God's heart is to elevate His children from a place of shame to a place of honour and prominence. When we turn to Him, He takes what was meant for our harm and uses it for His glory.
- I encourage you today, to surrender your shame, trust in God's redemptive power, and expect Him to transform your life.

"Holy Spirit, renew my mind and fill me with the mindset of a conqueror. Help me to see beyond my current situation and trust in Your divine plan."

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I declare that the Lord is turning every area of shame in my life into a testimony of His greatness. I decree that the spirit of shame is broken and replaced with divine favour and honour.

According to Isaiah 61:7, I will receive a double portion of blessings and rejoice in my inheritance. Every negative label, past failure, and disgrace is washed away by the blood of Jesus, and I am now clothed in garments of praise and honour.

I proclaim that God's hand of elevation is upon me, lifting me from obscurity to prominence. The Lord is positioning me for breakthroughs, divine connections, and opportunities that will showcase His glory in my life. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment is condemned.

I speak forth the fullness of God's promises into my life, believing that He is transforming my story from one of shame to one of fame. My testimony will be a beacon of hope and inspiration to others, revealing the power of God to redeem, restore, and elevate.

In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am moving forward into a new season of victory, honour, and influence. Amen.
