WHEN GOD OPENS THE WOMB

Title: WHEN GOD OPENS THE WOMB

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Genesis 30:22-24
Supporting Texts: 1 Samuel 1:19-20; Psalm 113:9

INTRODUCTION:
The opening of the womb is a divine act of God. When God intervenes, barrenness is replaced with fruitfulness, and shame is turned into joy. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s power at work, granting children to the barren and fulfilling His promise of fruitfulness. This message explores the significance of God opening the womb and the blessings that follow.

1. GOD REMEMBERS HIS PROMISES

a) God’s Faithfulness to His Word:
God never forgets His promises (Numbers 23:19).

b) He Remembers His Covenant:
God’s covenant guarantees fruitfulness (Deuteronomy 7:13-14).

c) Divine Intervention in Hopeless Situations:
Even when it seems impossible, God’s power brings breakthroughs (Luke 1:37).

d) God’s Timing Is Perfect:
He makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Biblical Example: God remembered Rachel, and she bore Joseph (Genesis 30:22-24).

2. PRAYER MOVES GOD TO OPEN THE WOMB

a) The Power of Persistent Prayer:
Prayer changes situations (James 5:16).

b) Crying Out to God in Faith:
Like Hannah, fervent prayer can bring the desired result (1 Samuel 1:10-11).

c) Praying According to God’s Will:
God’s will is for His children to be fruitful (Genesis 1:28).

d) Thanksgiving in Advance:
Thanking God for the answer even before it manifests demonstrates faith (Philippians 4:6).

Biblical Example: Hannah prayed, and God opened her womb (1 Samuel 1:19-20).

3. GOD OPENS THE WOMB TO DISPLAY HIS GLORY

a) Testimonies of God’s Power:
Every miracle is a testament to God’s greatness (Psalm 105:1-2).

b) God Turns Shame into Joy:
He removes reproach and replaces it with celebration (Isaiah 61:7).

c) The Blessing of Motherhood:
God blesses the barren with the joy of children (Psalm 113:9).

d) The Role of Children in God’s Purpose:
Children are a heritage from the Lord and a reward (Psalm 127:3-5).

Biblical Example: Elizabeth bore John the Baptist, bringing glory to God (Luke 1:57-58).

4. HINDRANCES TO FRUITFULNESS AND HOW TO OVERCOME THEM

a) Unbelief and Doubt:
Faith is crucial to receive from God (Hebrews 11:6).

b) Fear and Anxiety:
Trusting in God eliminates fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

c) Sin and Disobedience:
Sin can block blessings; repentance restores access to God’s promises (Isaiah 59:1-2).

d) Ignorance of God’s Promises:
Knowing and standing on God’s Word is key to victory (Hosea 4:6).

Biblical Example: Sarah’s initial doubt turned to faith, and she bore Isaac (Genesis 21:1-3).

5. BLESSINGS OF AN OPENED WOMB

a) Joy and Fulfilment:
The joy of motherhood is incomparable (John 16:21).

b) Multiplication and Increase:
God’s blessings lead to generational impact (Deuteronomy 7:14).

c) Honour and Restoration:
God honours those who trust in Him (Psalm 37:4-5).

d) Testimonies and Influence:
Miracles of fruitfulness bring glory to God and inspire others (Psalm 126:1-3).

Biblical Example: Sarah’s joy and laughter were a testimony of God’s faithfulness (Genesis 21:6-7).

CONCLUSION:
When God opens the womb, miracles happen, and lives are transformed. Trust in His timing, persist in prayer, and hold onto His promises. Just as He did for Rachel, Hannah, and Sarah, He will do for you. Your testimony is assured!
