INTRODUCTION:
Supernatural intervention is the act of God stepping into natural circumstances to bring about extraordinary results that defy logic, science, or human ability. It’s a divine rescue from seemingly impossible situations, where God shows His power to deliver, heal, protect, and provide. As we explore this powerful concept, we will see that God is always present to intervene on behalf of His people, and His interventions often come at the most critical moments. This message aims to open our eyes to how we can experience such divine interventions in our lives and position ourselves for them.

1. THE NATURE OF SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION

a) Divine Presence in Difficult Moments:
God steps in at the right time when human efforts fall short.

Psalm 46:1 – "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

b) Breaking Natural Laws:
When God intervenes, He overrules natural laws, bringing about miraculous outcomes.

Exodus 14:21-22 – The parting of the Red Sea defied the natural order.

c) Manifestation of God’s Glory:
Supernatural intervention is an expression of God’s glory and power.

Daniel 3:25 – The presence of the fourth man in the fiery furnace demonstrated God’s glory.

d) Divine Protection and Preservation:
In supernatural intervention, God preserves His people from harm and danger.

Isaiah 43:2 – "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you."

e) Biblical Example:
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were protected in the fiery furnace, and they experienced God’s supernatural intervention when the Son of God appeared with them (Daniel 3:25).

2. CHARACTERISTICS OF SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION

a) Unexpected Timing:
God’s intervention often comes at the most unexpected and critical moments.

Acts 12:5-7 – Peter’s miraculous release from prison.

b) Divine Strategy for Victory:
God gives His people divine strategies to overcome challenges.

2 Chronicles 20:15-17 – Jehoshaphat’s victory came through a strategy of praise.

c) Complete Deliverance:
Supernatural intervention brings total freedom from bondage.

Isaiah 43:2 – "When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned."

d) Overcoming the Impossible:
What seems impossible to man becomes possible with God’s intervention.

Exodus 14:13-14 – Israel was delivered from Pharaoh’s army at the Red Sea.

e) Biblical Example:
Peter’s chains fell off as an angel intervened to deliver him from prison, showing God’s ability to override physical and spiritual barriers (Acts 12:5-7).

3. HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION

a) Faith in God’s Power:
Trust that God is able to intervene in any situation, no matter how difficult.

Mark 9:23 – "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

b) Persistent Prayer and Petition:
Seek God earnestly through prayer for intervention in your life.

Luke 18:1-8 – The parable of the persistent widow encourages unrelenting prayer.

c) Obedience to God’s Commands:
Align yourself with God’s will and obey His instructions for intervention.

2 Kings 5:10-14 – Naaman’s healing came through obedience to God's word.

d) Worship as a Weapon:
Praise and worship invite God's presence and intervention.

2 Chronicles 20:22 – Jehoshaphat’s army saw victory as they praised God.

e) Biblical Example:
Paul and Silas were freed from prison after praying and singing hymns at midnight (Acts 16:25-26), demonstrating how worship brings divine intervention.

4. BENEFITS OF SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION

a) Freedom from Bondage:
God’s intervention breaks the chains of oppression and bondage.

Acts 12:7 – The chains fell off Peter when God intervened.

b) Restoration of Lost Glory:
Supernatural intervention restores what has been lost or stolen.

Joel 2:25 – "I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten."

c) Victory Over Enemies:
God’s intervention ensures victory over every opposition and enemy.

2 Chronicles 20:22 – Jehoshaphat’s enemies were defeated as they worshipped.

d) Divine Provision:
God provides for His people in miraculous ways during intervention.

Matthew 17:27 – Jesus provided the temple tax from a fish’s mouth.

e) Biblical Example:
The Israelites’ supernatural provision in the wilderness, where manna and water were provided (Exodus 16:35, Exodus 17:6).
