Title: THE GOD OF HANNAH WILL REMEMBER YOU
By Rev. Samuel Arimoro
Main Text: 1 Samuel 1:9-20
Supporting Texts: Psalm 113:9; Luke 1:13
INTRODUCTION:
Hannah’s story is one of desperation, faith, and divine intervention. In a time of barrenness, she cried out to God, and the Lord remembered her. God, who answered Hannah’s prayer, is the same God who answers today. This sermon declares that the God who remembered Hannah will remember you and grant you the desires of your heart.
1. GOD REMEMBERS THE DESPERATE PRAYERS
a) The God Who Sees Your Tears:
God sees every tear, every prayer, and every cry of desperation (Psalm 56:8).
b) Crying Out in Faith:
Hannah’s prayer was not just words; it was a cry of deep faith and trust in God’s ability to do the impossible (1 Samuel 1:10-11).
c) God Responds to Sincere Prayers:
When we approach God with sincerity and faith, He responds (James 5:16).
d) Divine Intervention Comes at the Right Time:
At the appointed time, God will answer your prayers and bring your breakthrough (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Biblical Example: Hannah’s desperate prayer in the temple led to the birth of Samuel, a prophetic leader of Israel (1 Samuel 1:9-20).
2. FAITH THAT MOVES THE HAND OF GOD
a) The Power of Persistent Faith:
Hannah did not give up; she continued to trust in God despite the years of barrenness (Luke 18:1-8).
b) Faith in the God Who Opens Wombs:
God has the power to open what has been closed. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
c) Faith that Acknowledges God’s Sovereignty:
When you acknowledge God's authority and power, He responds with blessings (1 Samuel 2:1-2).
d) Unwavering Faith Unlocks God's Promises:
Faith doesn’t waver with time; it believes in God's word to the end (Romans 4:20-21).
Biblical Example: Jesus praised the faith of the woman with the issue of blood, whose faith led to healing (Mark 5:34).
3. THE MIRACLE OF REMEMBRANCE
a) God Hasn't Forgotten You:
Even when it seems like your prayers go unanswered, know that God has not forgotten you (Isaiah 49:15).
b) Divine Timing for Fulfillment:
The time for your breakthrough will come, and it will be a perfect manifestation of God's timing (Galatians 4:4).
c) The God of Hannah Is Your God:
Just as God remembered Hannah, He will remember you in your season of waiting and deliverance (Psalm 113:9).
d) From Barrenness to Fruitfulness:
What seems impossible to man is possible with God. He turns barrenness into fruitfulness (Luke 1:36-37).
Biblical Example: Sarah was barren but conceived Isaac at God's appointed time, demonstrating that nothing is impossible for God (Genesis 21:1-2).
4. A PROMISE TURNED INTO A TESTIMONY
a) Your Miracle Will Become a Testimony:
When God answers your prayer, it will become a testimony to glorify His name and encourage others (Psalm 126:3).
b) God Desires to Glorify Himself in Your Life:
Every answered prayer is an opportunity for God to reveal His glory to the world (John 9:3).
c) The Testimony of God's Faithfulness:
Your miracle will speak of God’s faithfulness, power, and love for His people (Psalm 71:15-18).
d) Preparation for the Fulfillment of Promise:
As you wait for your miracle, continue preparing your heart to receive what God has for you (Matthew 9:29).
Biblical Example: Hannah, after receiving her son, Samuel, dedicated him to the Lord, and his life became a testimony to Israel’s faithfulness to God (1 Samuel 1:27-28).
5. GOD IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY
a) Expect the Impossible:
What you thought was impossible, God is about to do beyond your expectations (Ephesians 3:20).
b) God Will Surpass Your Expectations:
Just as Hannah asked for a son, God gave her Samuel and more, fulfilling her heart’s desire (1 Samuel 2:21).
c) Divine Overflow:
Not only will God give you what you ask for, but He will give you beyond what you imagined (Luke 6:38).
d) God’s Blessings Are Overflowing:
Get ready for an overflow of blessings as God remembers you and answers your prayers (Psalm 23:5).
Biblical Example: Solomon, the son of David and Bathsheba, was a blessing far beyond their expectations, fulfilling God’s promise of a king on David’s throne (2 Samuel 7:12-16).
CONCLUSION:
The God who remembered Hannah will surely remember you. Whatever it is you are trusting God for, whether it is for fruitfulness, breakthrough, or the fulfillment of a promise, God is faithful to answer. Your miracle is on its way, and when it arrives, it will bring great joy and glory to His name.
