INTRODUCTION:
Crossing over to a new year symbolises a transition into a fresh season. It is a time to leave the past behind and step into the promises of God for the future. Just as the Israelites crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land, we must prepare spiritually, mentally, and emotionally to enter 2025 with victory and purpose.

1. PREPARATION FOR CROSSING OVER

a) Seek God’s Guidance:
Before crossing, the Israelites sought God’s direction through Joshua (Joshua 3:2-3).

b) Sanctify Yourself:
Consecration precedes God’s wonders (Joshua 3:5).

c) Let Go of the Past:
Forget what is behind and press forward (Philippians 3:13).

d) Build Your Faith:
Trust that God will make a way (Isaiah 43:19).

e) Biblical Example:
Moses prepared the Israelites to cross the Red Sea through faith and obedience (Exodus 14:15-22).

2. TRUSTING GOD FOR THE NEW YEAR

a) God Goes Ahead of You:
He will never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).

b) His Plans Are Good:
God has a plan for your future (Jeremiah 29:11).

c) His Power Is Unchanging:
The same God who delivered you before will do it again (Malachi 3:6).

d) He Provides Strength for the Journey:
Wait on the Lord, and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31).

e) Biblical Example:
The Israelites trusted God to lead them into the Promised Land (Numbers 14:6-9).

3. STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL CROSSOVER

a) Focus on God’s Promises:
Meditate on His Word day and night (Joshua 1:8).

b) Commit Your Plans to God:
In all your ways, acknowledge Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

c) Be Courageous:
Do not fear or be discouraged; God is with you (Joshua 1:9).

d) Be Persistent in Prayer:
Pray without ceasing as you prepare (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

e) Biblical Example:
Esther sought God in prayer and fasting before stepping into her defining moment (Esther 4:15-16).

4. OVERCOMING OBSTACLES IN THE CROSSOVER

a) Confront Fear with Faith:
God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

b) Resist Distractions:
Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

c) Break Free from Bondage:
Leave behind sin and weights that entangle (Hebrews 12:1).

d) Rely on God’s Strength:
It is not by power or might, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

e) Biblical Example:
The walls of Jericho were an obstacle, but through obedience and faith, they fell (Joshua 6:15-20).

5. ENTERING 2025 WITH A NEW MINDSET

a) Declare New Beginnings:
Proclaim that God is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:19).

b) Walk in Obedience:
Blessings follow obedience to God’s Word (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

c) Be Grateful and Expectant:
Enter with thanksgiving and hope (Psalm 100:4).

d) Stay Spiritually Alert:
Watch and pray to discern God’s will (Matthew 26:41).

Caleb and Joshua entered the Promised Land with a positive mindset and trust in God (Numbers 14:6-9).
