DIVINE VISITATION FOR FRUITFULNESS

Title: DIVINE VISITATION FOR FRUITFULNESS

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Genesis 18:10-14
Supporting Texts: Luke 1:13-15; Isaiah 54:1

INTRODUCTION:
Divine visitation is a supernatural encounter where God steps into a person’s situation, bringing transformation and fulfilment. When God visits, barrenness turns to fruitfulness, and delayed promises are fulfilled. This message explores how God’s visitation brings fruitfulness in every aspect of life.

1. GOD'S VISITATION BRINGS HOPE TO THE HOPELESS

a) The Promise of Fruitfulness:
God’s promise guarantees fruitfulness (Genesis 1:28).

b) God Is Never Late:
His timing is perfect, and He makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

c) His Word Cannot Fail:
When God speaks, it must come to pass (Isaiah 55:11).

d) Divine Visitation Brings Joy:
The barren woman sings for joy (Isaiah 54:1).

Biblical Example: God visited Sarah, and she bore Isaac despite her old age (Genesis 18:10-14).

2. DIVINE VISITATION DESTROYS BARRIERS TO FRUITFULNESS

a) Breaking the Yoke of Barrenness:
God’s power destroys every form of barrenness (Exodus 23:26).

b) God Reverses the Irreversible:
He can make dry bones live again (Ezekiel 37:4-5).

c) He Nullifies Negative Reports:
No report can stand against God’s promise (Isaiah 53:1).

d) Divine Healing and Restoration:
God heals and restores health (Jeremiah 30:17).

Biblical Example: Elizabeth, though advanced in age, bore John the Baptist after God’s visitation (Luke 1:13-15).

3. FAITH ACTIVATES DIVINE VISITATION

a) Faith in God’s Ability:
Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

b) Believing Against All Odds:
Abraham believed God for Isaac despite the physical impossibility (Romans 4:18-21).

c) Acting on God’s Word:
Faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

d) Thanksgiving as a Faith Expression:
Giving thanks even before the miracle (Philippians 4:6).

Biblical Example: The Shunammite woman received her miracle son by faith (2 Kings 4:16-17).

4. SIGNS OF DIVINE VISITATION

a) Supernatural Encounters:
Divine presence and angelic visitations (Judges 6:11-12).

b) Immediate Answers to Prayers:
God moves swiftly in response to faith-filled prayers (Acts 12:7-10).

c) Unexplainable Peace and Joy:
The peace of God surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

d) Manifestation of Promises:
Long-awaited promises are fulfilled (Genesis 21:1-2).

Biblical Example: God’s visitation brought about the conception of Samson (Judges 13:3-5).

5. RESULTS OF DIVINE VISITATION FOR FRUITFULNESS

a) Multiplication and Increase:
God’s blessing leads to generational multiplication (Genesis 17:6).

b) Joy and Celebration:
The testimony of fruitfulness brings great joy (Psalm 126:1-3).

c) Restoration of Honour:
Barrenness gives way to honour and glory (1 Samuel 2:5).

d) A Fulfilled Life Purpose:
Every child born fulfils a divine purpose (Jeremiah 1:5).

Biblical Example: Hannah’s fruitfulness resulted in the birth of Samuel, who became a prophet (1 Samuel 1:19-20).
