INTRODUCTION:
The season of glad tidings is a time of joy, hope, and celebration of God’s goodness. It is marked by the announcement of divine blessings, breakthroughs, and peace. When the angels proclaimed the birth of Jesus, it ushered in an era of glad tidings for humanity. This season reminds us that no matter the challenges, God’s good news brings transformation and joy.

1. GLAD TIDINGS BRING GOOD NEWS

a) The Birth of a Saviour:
Jesus’ birth was the greatest good news for mankind (Luke 2:11).

b) Peace and Reconciliation:
Glad tidings announce peace between God and man (Ephesians 2:14).

c) Joy to the World:
The message of salvation brings unending joy (Luke 2:10).

d) Restoration of Hope:
Glad tidings revive the weary and restore hope (Isaiah 40:31).

Biblical Example: The angel’s message to the shepherds brought immediate joy and worship (Luke 2:13-14).

2. CHARACTERISTICS OF A SEASON OF GLAD TIDINGS

a) Divine Visitation:
God steps into situations to bring transformation (Luke 1:68).

b) Fulfillment of Promises:
In this season, God’s promises come to pass (2 Corinthians 1:20).

c) Overflowing Joy:
Hearts are filled with joy that cannot be contained (Psalm 16:11).

d) Testimonies Abound:
Testimonies of God’s faithfulness are shared widely (Psalm 126:3).

Biblical Example: Elizabeth and Mary experienced divine joy and shared glad tidings (Luke 1:41-45).

3. RESPONDING TO GLAD TIDINGS

a) Rejoice Always:
The appropriate response to glad tidings is continuous rejoicing (Philippians 4:4).

b) Share the Good News:
Spread the message of hope and salvation (Isaiah 52:7).

c) Worship and Praise:
Celebrate God’s goodness with heartfelt worship (Psalm 100:4).

5. DECLARE YOUR SEASON OF GLAD TIDINGS

Position yourself for God’s intervention (Habakkuk 2:3).

c) Walk in Faith and Obedience:
Trust and obey God even in uncertain times (Hebrews 11:6).

Praise God for the manifestation of His blessings (Romans 4:20).
