INTRODUCTION:
God’s goodness is a central theme throughout the Scriptures. It reflects His love, mercy, and faithfulness towards His people. As we reflect on His goodness, it inspires gratitude, worship, and a deeper trust in Him. Celebrating God’s goodness is a way to acknowledge His hand in our lives and to testify of His power to others.

1. THE NATURE OF GOD’S GOODNESS

a) God’s Goodness is Universal:
God’s goodness extends to all creation (Psalm 145:9).

b) God’s Goodness is Unchanging:
His goodness remains constant through all generations (James 1:17).

c) God’s Goodness is Expressed in His Mercy:
His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

d) God’s Goodness is His Glory:
When Moses asked to see God’s glory, He revealed His goodness (Exodus 33:19).

Biblical Example: David often celebrated God’s goodness in his psalms (Psalm 23:6).

2. BENEFITS OF CELEBRATING GOD’S GOODNESS

a) It Increases Our Faith:
Reflecting on God’s past goodness strengthens our trust in Him (Romans 8:28).

b) It Brings Joy and Peace:
Rejoicing in God’s goodness brings inner peace (Philippians 4:4-7).

c) It Inspires Gratitude:
Gratitude leads to a deeper appreciation of God’s blessings (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

d) It Encourages Others:
Sharing testimonies of God’s goodness builds faith in others (Revelation 12:11).

Biblical Example: The Israelites celebrated God’s goodness after crossing the Red Sea (Exodus 15:1-21).

3. WAYS TO CELEBRATE GOD’S GOODNESS

a) Through Praise and Worship:
Praise acknowledges God’s goodness and magnifies His name (Psalm 100:4-5).

b) Through Testimonies:
Sharing God’s goodness encourages others (Psalm 105:1-2).

c) Through Giving:
Offering our resources is a tangible way to honour God’s goodness (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

d) Through Service:
Serving others reflects our gratitude for God’s goodness (Galatians 6:10).

Biblical Example: Hannah dedicated Samuel to God as a response to His goodness (1 Samuel 1:27-28).

4. GOD’S GOODNESS IN TIMES OF TROUBLE

a) His Goodness Sustains Us:
God provides strength and hope in difficult times (Psalm 27:13).

b) His Goodness Provides Deliverance:
He rescues His people from danger (Psalm 34:19).

c) His Goodness Comforts Us:
God’s presence brings comfort during trials (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

d) His Goodness Brings Restoration:
He restores what has been lost or broken (Joel 2:25-26)

Biblical Example: Joseph experienced God’s goodness through all his trials (Genesis 50:20).

5. THE CALL TO CONTINUALLY CELEBRATE GOD’S GOODNESS

a) Celebrate Daily:
Every day is an opportunity to acknowledge God’s goodness (Psalm 118:24).

b) Celebrate in All Circumstances:
Even in challenges, we are called to give thanks (Ephesians 5:20).

c) Celebrate Together:
Gathering with others magnifies our collective gratitude (Hebrews 10:25).

d) Celebrate with Expectation:
Rejoicing in God’s goodness sets the stage for more blessings (Philippians 4:19).

Biblical Example: The early church celebrated God’s goodness with unity and joy (Acts 2:46-47).

CONCLUSION:
God’s goodness is worth celebrating at all times. As we reflect on His faithfulness and mercies, our hearts will be filled with joy and gratitude. Let us make it a lifestyle to celebrate His goodness, knowing that He is always working for our good.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. You will experience the goodness of God in every area of your life.

2. The Lord’s goodness will sustain you in times of trouble.

3. You will have testimonies that reflect God’s faithfulness.

4. God’s goodness will open doors of favour for you.

5. Your life will be a beacon of God’s glory.

6. Every trial you face will turn into a testimony of God’s goodness.

7. You will enjoy divine restoration in every area.

8. God’s goodness will bring joy and peace to your heart.

9. You will continually experience God’s mercies every morning.

10. The goodness of God will overflow in your life, leading to endless celebrations.
