YOUR SUN SHALL RISE AGAIN

SERMON TITLE: YOUR SUN SHALL RISE AGAIN

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Micah 7:8
Supporting Texts: Psalm 30:5, Isaiah 60:1-2, Job 42:10

INTRODUCTION:
Life can sometimes feel like a season of darkness, where nothing seems to go right, and you feel overwhelmed by challenges. However, just as the sun rises every morning after a night of darkness, God promises that no matter how dark your situation is, your sun shall rise again. Micah 7:8 reminds us that though we may fall, we will rise again. This sermon is an encouragement to keep trusting in God's promises, for your season of breakthrough and restoration is on the horizon.

1. DARKNESS DOESN’T LAST FOREVER

a) Night symbolizes a season of trial, pain, or setback, but night doesn’t last forever.

b) Just as the night gives way to the morning, so will your season of difficulty give way to a new dawn.

c) God has designed every challenge to be temporary and for His glory in your life.

d) Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

e) Biblical Example: Job experienced the darkest nights of his life, but in the end, God restored him, and his sun rose again (Job 42:10).

2. GOD IS YOUR LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

a) Even in the midst of the darkest times, God’s light still shines on you.

b) Isaiah 60:1 declares, “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”

c) God's presence ensures that darkness will never have the final say in your life.

d) No matter how hopeless your situation seems, God’s light will break through and bring you hope.

e) Biblical Example: In Egypt, when darkness covered the land, the children of Israel still had light in their dwellings (Exodus 10:23).

3. RESTORATION IS COMING

a) When the sun rises again, it brings restoration of everything that was lost.

b) God is a God of restoration, and He will restore the years, opportunities, and blessings that seemed to be lost.

c) Just as the sun rises with healing in its rays (Malachi 4:2), so will God restore health, strength, and peace in your life.

d) Every area of your life where darkness has prevailed will experience God’s divine restoration.

e) Biblical Example: After Job’s period of suffering, God restored him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).

4. GOD WILL LIFT YOU OUT OF THE PIT

a) Sometimes we find ourselves in deep pits of despair, but God specializes in lifting His children out of the pit.

b) Like Joseph, you may have been cast into a pit of rejection, delay, or hardship, but God is bringing you out.

c) The pit is not your final destination—God’s plan is to lift you up to a place of honour.

d) No matter how deep the pit, God’s hand is mighty enough to pull you out and set your feet on solid ground.

e) Biblical Example: Joseph’s journey from the pit to the palace is a powerful example of how God can turn a dark situation around (Genesis 41:39-41).

5. YOUR LATTER DAYS WILL BE GREATER

a) God has promised that your latter days will be greater than your former (Haggai 2:9).

b) The blessings and breakthroughs coming in your future will far exceed the pain of your past.

c) God doesn’t just restore you to where you were—He gives you more than you had before.

d) This new season of rising will bring greater joy, greater peace, and greater testimony than you ever imagined.

e) Biblical Example: Job’s latter days were greater than his former days, as God blessed him beyond his wildest expectations (Job 42:12).

CONCLUSION:
Your sun shall rise again, no matter how dark your current situation appears. God’s promise is that darkness will not prevail over your life, and restoration is on the way. Trust in His timing, for your weeping is coming to an end, and joy is on the horizon. Just as the dawn breaks through after the night, so will God break through in your life with blessings, restoration, and divine promotion.
