INTRODUCTION:
In a world filled with competition and challenges, the desire for success is universal. However, not all success is the same; some achieve it through hard work, while others encounter barriers that seem insurmountable. Uncommon success is what sets us apart as children of God, allowing us to rise above the ordinary and experience extraordinary results in our lives. This sermon will explore the keys to unlocking uncommon success in our walk with God.

1. UNDERSTANDING UNCOMMON SUCCESS
To achieve uncommon success, we must first understand what it truly means.

a) Definition of Uncommon Success: It refers to achievements that surpass the average and manifest God’s glory in our lives (1 Corinthians 2:9).

b) God's Desire for Us: God desires that we prosper and succeed in all our endeavours (Jeremiah 29:11).

c) It Requires Divine Involvement: Uncommon success cannot be achieved solely through human effort; it requires God's hand (Proverbs 3:5-6).

d) Different from Worldly Success: While worldly success may be measured by wealth or status, uncommon success is characterised by peace, joy, and fulfilment (Matthew 6:33).

Biblical Example:
Joseph’s rise from being a slave to the second in command in Egypt, showcasing God’s favour and wisdom in his life (Genesis 41:46).

2. THE FOUNDATION OF UNCOMMON SUCCESS
To build a life of uncommon success, we must establish a strong foundation.

a) Rooted in God's Word: Success begins with meditating on God’s Word and applying its principles to our lives (Joshua 1:8).

b) A Life of Prayer: Consistent prayer life connects us to God, giving us direction and wisdom (Philippians 4:6-7).

c) Obedience to God’s Commands: Following God’s instructions leads us to success that reflects His will (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

d) Surrounding Ourselves with Godly Counsel: Wise counsel is essential for making sound decisions that lead to success (Proverbs 15:22).

Biblical Example:
Daniel’s commitment to prayer and his refusal to compromise his faith led to his elevation in Babylon (Daniel 6:10-23).

3. CHARACTERISTICS OF UNCOMMON SUCCESS
Recognising the traits of uncommon success will help us identify it in our lives.

a) Marked by Excellence: Uncommon success is characterised by a spirit of excellence in all we do (Daniel 6:3).

b) Accompanied by Favour: God's favour rests upon those who walk in His ways, leading to divine connections and opportunities (Psalm 90:17).

c) Sustained by Integrity: Integrity ensures that success is lasting and honourable, avoiding pitfalls that lead to downfall (Proverbs 11:3).

d) Evidenced by Growth and Expansion: Uncommon success often results in growth, both spiritually and materially (2 Corinthians 9:10-11).

Biblical Example:
The apostles in Acts 2, whose success in spreading the Gospel resulted in thousands coming to faith and the church growing rapidly (Acts 2:41-47).

4. OVERCOMING OBSTACLES TO UNCOMMON SUCCESS
Challenges are inevitable, but we must learn to overcome them.

a) Fear and Doubt: Fear can paralyse us; however, faith in God will empower us to take action (2 Timothy 1:7).

b) Negative Influences: Associating with negative people can hinder our success; we must choose our companions wisely (Proverbs 13:20).

c) Setbacks and Failures: Learning from setbacks is crucial; they can be stepping stones to greater success (Proverbs 24:16).

d) Spiritual Warfare: Recognising that we face spiritual battles will help us to equip ourselves in prayer and faith (Ephesians 6:12-13).

Biblical Example:
The children of Israel facing giants in the Promised Land, where their faith led to eventual victory and possession of the land (Numbers 13:30).

5. SUSTAINING UNCOMMON SUCCESS
Once we achieve success, sustaining it is key to living a fulfilled life.

a) Continuous Growth: We must strive for continuous growth through learning and development (2 Peter 3:18).

b) Gratitude and Humility: Always acknowledge God's hand in our successes to remain grounded (James 4:10).

c) Giving Back: Successful individuals should contribute to others, reflecting God's love and generosity (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

d) Maintaining Faith: Keeping our faith in God central to our lives ensures we remain anchored during challenging times (Hebrews 11:6).

Biblical Example:
Solomon, who prayed for wisdom and received it, used his success to glorify God and bless others through his reign (1 Kings 3:5-14).

CONCLUSION:
Uncommon success is attainable for every believer who aligns themselves with God’s principles and purposes. It transcends worldly achievements, providing a fulfilling life characterised by divine favour, growth, and integrity.
