INTRODUCTION:
The phrase "on eagle's wings" symbolizes God's protection, strength, and ability to lift us above our challenges. Just as eagles soar high above the storms, we too can rise above life's difficulties through faith in God. This study will explore the significance of being lifted "on eagle's wings," the characteristics of eagles that reflect our spiritual journey, and how we can experience this elevation in our lives.

1. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF EAGLES IN SCRIPTURE
Eagles are often used in the Bible as symbols of strength, renewal, and divine protection.

a) Symbol of Strength: Eagles are powerful birds known for their strong wings and ability to soar to great heights (Isaiah 40:31).

b) Renewal and Restoration: Waiting on the Lord allows us to renew our strength, akin to the way eagles molt and grow new feathers (Psalm 103:5).

c) Protection: God carries His people on eagles' wings, providing safety and security (Exodus 19:4).

d) Vision and Perspective: Eagles have exceptional vision, symbolizing spiritual insight and clarity that God grants us (Proverbs 29:18).

e) Biblical Example:
God's deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt is likened to being carried on eagle's wings, showcasing His protective nature (Exodus 19:4).

2. WAITING UPON THE LORD
The promise of mounting up with wings as eagles begins with waiting upon the Lord, a vital aspect of our faith.

a) Definition of Waiting: Waiting is an active expectation, a posture of trust and dependence on God (Lamentations 3:25-26).

b) The Purpose of Waiting: God uses waiting to prepare our hearts and align us with His will (Psalm 27:14).

c) Faithfulness in Waiting: Those who wait faithfully on God will see His promises fulfilled (Isaiah 49:23).

d) Biblical Example:
Hannah waited patiently for a child, and her faith led to the birth of Samuel, a significant prophet in Israel (1 Samuel 1:20).

e) Scriptural Reference:
Psalm 37:7 encourages us to "rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him."

3. RENEWING OUR STRENGTH
As we wait upon the Lord, He promises to renew our strength, enabling us to rise above challenges.

a) Spiritual Renewal: Regular prayer, worship, and studying the Word are essential for spiritual renewal (2 Corinthians 4:16).

b) Physical Strength: God also cares for our physical well-being, providing strength for our daily tasks (Philippians 4:13).

c) Emotional Resilience: In waiting, we find peace and strength to handle life's emotional challenges (Philippians 4:6-7).

d) Biblical Example:
Elijah was physically and spiritually renewed after encountering God on Mount Horeb (1 Kings 19:5-8).

e) Scriptural Reference:
2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us that God's grace is sufficient for our weaknesses.

4. SOARING ABOVE CHALLENGES
When we are lifted on eagle's wings, we gain the ability to overcome life's storms and challenges.

a) Perspective on Challenges: Rising above challenges gives us a new perspective, allowing us to see God's hand at work (Romans 8:28).

b) Courage and Boldness: With God's strength, we can face our fears and boldly pursue our calling (Joshua 1:9).

c) Resilience in Trials: We learn to endure and remain steadfast in the face of difficulties (James 1:2-4).

d) Biblical Example:
David faced many adversities but continually rose above them by trusting in God’s strength (Psalm 34:19).

e) Scriptural Reference:
Psalm 46:1 declares that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

5. LIVING ON EAGLE'S WINGS
To live continually on eagle's wings, we must embrace a lifestyle of faith, trust, and dependence on God.

a) Faith Walk: We must walk by faith, not by sight, trusting God’s promises (2 Corinthians 5:7).

b) Daily Dependence: Each day, we should seek God’s guidance and strength in all we do (Proverbs 3:5-6).

c) Community and Support: Surrounding ourselves with a community of faith encourages us to rise together (Hebrews 10:24-25).

d) Biblical Example:
The early church relied on prayer and community for strength, resulting in their growth and resilience (Acts 2:42-47).

e) Scriptural Reference:
Isaiah 41:10 reassures us that God will strengthen and help us, upholding us with His righteous hand.

CONCLUSION:
Being "on eagle's wings" signifies the divine strength, protection, and elevation that comes from God as we wait upon Him.
