MY SEASON OF LAUGHTER HAS COME

Sermon Title: MY SEASON OF LAUGHTER HAS COME

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Supporting Texts: Psalm 126:1-3, Isaiah 61:7, Job 8:21

INTRODUCTION:
Laughter is often a sign of joy, celebration, and victory. When Sarah gave birth to Isaac, she declared, "God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me" (Genesis 21:6). This was not just a physical laughter, but a testimony of God's faithfulness and fulfilment of His promise. Today, God is ready to bring you into your own season of laughter—a time when all your tears will be wiped away and your joy will be restored. No matter how long the delay has been, God can turn your sorrow into laughter.

1. GOD TURNS IMPOSSIBILITIES INTO LAUGHTER

a) Sarah’s laughter was born from an impossible situation; she was barren and old, yet God fulfilled His promise.

b) When God steps into your situation, impossibilities bow to Him. What seems impossible in the eyes of man becomes possible with God.

c) Divine laughter comes after long seasons of waiting or suffering.

d) It doesn't matter how long you've waited—God's timing is perfect, and He will bring your laughter at the appointed time.

e) Biblical Example: Sarah laughed when Isaac was born because God turned her impossible situation into a testimony (Genesis 21:6-7).

2. YOUR TEARS WILL TURN TO JOY

a) Psalm 126:5-6 says, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” God promises to turn every tear you’ve shed into joy and laughter.

b) No tear is wasted in the eyes of God; He sees and remembers every moment of sorrow.

c) What you’re passing through today is only temporary. God is working behind the scenes to bring you to your season of laughter.

d) The same people who saw you in pain will witness your joy and laughter.

e) Biblical Example: When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, the people declared, "Our mouths were filled with laughter" (Psalm 126:1-3).

3. A SEASON OF RESTORATION BRINGS LAUGHTER

a) Laughter often comes when God restores what has been lost or stolen.

b) Job, after losing everything, was restored and blessed twice as much as before. God filled his mouth with laughter again (Job 42:10, Job 8:21).

c) Restoration brings joy and laughter because it is a reminder that God is faithful to His promises.

d) Every season of loss, pain, and disappointment will be replaced by a season of restoration and divine laughter.

e) Biblical Example: Job’s restoration was so complete that God filled his mouth with laughter and joy after his trials (Job 8:21).

4. PROPHETIC LAUGHTER BREAKS THE YOKE OF SORROW

a) Just as God promised Sarah laughter, He has also promised you a season of divine joy.

b) Your laughter is not just for you—it will be a testimony to others of God’s goodness and power.

c) When laughter comes, it brings healing, joy, and a release from the yokes of sorrow and pain.

d) Even in the face of challenges, prophetic laughter is a sign of victory and expectation of God’s goodness.

e) Biblical Example: Sarah’s laughter was not just for her but for everyone who heard of her miracle, showing God’s power (Genesis 21:6).

5. YOUR SEASON OF LAUGHTER WILL BRING GLORY TO GOD

a) God uses laughter as a tool to glorify Himself through your life.

b) The blessings and breakthroughs that bring you joy will be a testimony to others about God’s faithfulness.

c) God wants to use your life as a sign of His goodness—He wants others to hear of your joy and laugh with you.

d) This season of laughter is not only a reward for your patience but a testimony that will draw others to God.

e) Biblical Example: Sarah's laughter brought glory to God as others witnessed His power and faithfulness in her life (Genesis 21:6).

CONCLUSION:
