NOT MY HEAD, NOT MY BLOOD!

TITLE: NOT MY HEAD, NOT MY BLOOD

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Ezekiel 22:30
Supporting Texts: Psalm 91:5-7, Isaiah 49:25-26, Revelation 12:11

INTRODUCTION
In these perilous times, the enemy seeks to afflict lives through calamities, untimely death, and bloodshed. However, as believers, we can stand in divine protection, declaring boldly, "Not my head, not my blood." Through the blood of Jesus and the authority in His name, we can avert every evil agenda and live under the protective covering of God. This message will reveal how to invoke God's protection and refuse the enemy's plans over your life and loved ones.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE BATTLE OVER YOUR HEAD AND BLOOD

a) The Head Represents Authority and Destiny
The head signifies leadership, vision, and purpose. The enemy seeks to attack the head to prevent a person from fulfilling their God-given destiny. Spiritual attacks on the head can manifest in confusion, mental oppression, or sabotage of one’s leadership and direction.

b) The Blood Represents Life
Leviticus 17:11 says the life of the flesh is in the blood. The enemy’s ultimate goal is to shed blood—whether through sickness, accidents, or premature death. But by the blood of Jesus, we have protection and can declare, “Not my blood.”

Biblical Example: The Passover (Exodus 12:13)
During the Passover in Egypt, God instructed the Israelites to put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts. This was a prophetic act declaring that the spirit of death would pass over them. This symbolizes the power of the blood of Jesus in protecting us from death and calamity.

2. THE ENEMY’S AGENDA TO SHED BLOOD

a) Satanic Altars and Bloodshed
In many cases, bloodshed is tied to satanic rituals, altars, and covenants. The enemy uses accidents, violence, and sickness to demand blood. As believers, we must break every evil covenant and dismantle these altars through prayer and the blood of Jesus.

b) Accidents and Premature Death
Evil occurrences such as road accidents, sudden calamities, and premature death are often orchestrated by demonic forces to claim innocent lives. However, as a child of God, you can stand in the gap and declare that your life and your blood are not available to the enemy.

Biblical Example: The Attempted Murder of Jesus (Matthew 2:16)
King Herod sought to kill Jesus shortly after His birth, sending out an order to kill all male children. This was an evil attempt to shed innocent blood, but God intervened and protected Jesus by instructing Joseph to flee with Him to Egypt.

3. DIVINE PROTECTION THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS

a) The Power of the Blood of Jesus
Revelation 12:11 declares that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. The blood of Jesus is a powerful weapon that shields us from death, destruction, and demonic attacks. By applying the blood of Jesus, we invoke divine immunity over our lives and families.

b) Pleading the Blood Over Your Head and Life
As believers, we must consciously plead the blood of Jesus over our head (symbolizing our destiny, authority, and purpose) and over our blood (symbolizing our life and health). This act of faith protects us from the enemy's plans.

Biblical Example: Rahab’s Scarlet Cord (Joshua 2:18-21)
Rahab used a scarlet cord as a sign for the Israelites to spare her household during the destruction of Jericho. This scarlet cord represents the blood of Jesus, which brings protection from death and destruction.

4. STANDING IN THE GAP AND MAKING DECLARATIONS

a) The Power of Spiritual Declarations
Ezekiel 22:30 shows that God looks for someone to stand in the gap and intercede for protection. Through prophetic declarations, we cancel every plan of the enemy and declare, “Not my head, not my blood!” Our words, empowered by faith, establish divine protection over our lives.

b) Canceling Evil Arrows and Plans
Evil plans, accidents, and bloodshed may be scheduled against an individual, but with persistent prayer and declarations, we can cancel and nullify these plans. The enemy will not succeed in his attempts when we invoke the name of Jesus and plead His blood.

Biblical Example: The Widow of Zarephath’s Son (1 Kings 17:17-24)
When the son of the widow of Zarephath died, it seemed like an untimely death. However, through the intervention of the prophet Elijah, life was restored to the boy. This shows the power of intercession to overturn the enemy’s plans.

5. DIVINE SAFETY IN PERILOUS TIMES
a) Claiming Psalm 91 Over Your Life
Psalm 91:5-7 declares that no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. As believers, we must claim this promise of divine safety, knowing that God’s protection is sure, no matter the dangers around us.

b) Living Under God’s Shield
By faith, we remain under God’s shield of protection, where no arrow, sword, or snare of the enemy can reach us. In perilous times, God’s people are marked for life and not for destruction.

Biblical Example:  Daniel in the Lion’s Den (Daniel 6:16-22)
Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den as a plot to destroy him. However, God sent His angel to shut the mouths of the lions, and Daniel’s life was spared. This is a powerful demonstration of how God shields His people from destruction.

CONCLUSION
We live in dangerous times, but we are not defenseless. Through the blood of Jesus, prophetic declarations, and standing firm in God’s promises, we can confidently say, "Not my head, not my blood!" God’s protection is sure, and no evil plan of the enemy will succeed in your life. Continue to trust in His covering and declare His Word over your life daily.
