INTRODUCTION:
The desire for satisfaction is ingrained in human nature. In Psalm 90, Moses reflects on the brevity of life and the need for God’s mercy and satisfaction. To be satisfied early is to experience God’s goodness and mercy at the beginning of our days, enabling us to rejoice and glorify Him throughout our lives. In this sermon, we will explore what it means to seek God’s early satisfaction and how it transforms our lives.

1. THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY SATISFACTION
Understanding why we need to seek God’s satisfaction early in our lives.

b) Establishing a Joyful Foundation: Early satisfaction lays a foundation of joy and gladness, as it aligns our hearts with God’s purposes (Psalm 90:14).

c) Recognising Our Dependence: Acknowledging that we need God’s guidance and satisfaction helps us remain humble and dependent on Him.

d) The Impact of Delayed Satisfaction: When we seek fulfillment outside of God, we may experience disappointment and despair (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Biblical Example:
Manna provided to the Israelites each morning represents God’s early provision for His people (Exodus 16:14-15).

2. THE MERCY OF GOD AND ITS EFFECT
Exploring how God's mercy satisfies and transforms our lives.

a) The Nature of God’s Mercy: God’s mercy is abundant and unfailing, meeting our needs even when we least deserve it (Lamentations 3:22-23).

c) Experiencing God’s Presence: God’s mercy invites us into His presence, where we find comfort and satisfaction.

d) The Cycle of Praise: When we experience God’s mercy, our hearts are filled with gratitude, leading to a life of praise (Psalm 100:4).

Biblical Example:
David sought God’s mercy in his darkest times and found restoration and joy (Psalm 51).

3. REJOICING IN THE GLORY OF GOD
Understanding how God's glory manifests in our lives when we are satisfied.

a) God’s Glory Revealed: When God satisfies us, His glory becomes evident in our lives and serves as a testimony to others (Psalm 90:16).

b) The Generational Impact: Our satisfaction in God can influence the next generation, as they witness His faithfulness and glory.

c) Manifesting Beauty: God’s beauty reflects in our lives, impacting our character and actions (Psalm 90:17).

d) Our Works Established: God’s satisfaction leads to fruitful endeavors; our work becomes purposeful and lasting (Psalm 90:17).

The life of Joseph exemplifies how God’s glory was revealed through his trials, leading to a powerful testimony for his family and nation (Genesis 50:20).
