INTRODUCTION:
Favour is a divine endorsement that sets us apart and opens doors that were previously closed. It is the hand of God upon our lives that causes us to succeed beyond our natural abilities. This message will explore the significance of God's favour, how it manifests in our lives, and how we can position ourselves to receive it.

1. UNDERSTANDING DIVINE FAVOUR

a) What is Divine Favour?
Divine favour is the unmerited kindness and grace of God that brings blessings (Ephesians 2:8).

b) The Purpose of Favour
God's favour equips us to accomplish His will and brings glory to His name (1 Peter 2:9).

c) Characteristics of Favour
Favour can manifest as preferential treatment, divine connections, and unexpected blessings (Proverbs 16:15).

d) Favour in Scripture
Throughout the Bible, we see examples of individuals who received favour from God (Genesis 39:21).

Biblical Example: Noah Found Favour – Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, leading to his preservation (Genesis 6:8).

2. THE SOURCE OF FAVOUR

a) God’s Sovereignty
Favour is a gift from God; He bestows it according to His will (Romans 9:15-16).

b) The Role of Jesus
Jesus grew in favour with God and man, exemplifying the importance of relationship with the Father (Luke 2:52).

c) The Influence of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit empowers us to walk in favour and navigate life's challenges (Acts 10:38).

d) Faithfulness and Obedience
Our faithfulness to God's commands positions us to receive His favour (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

Biblical Example: Joseph’s Favour – Joseph’s integrity and faithfulness led him to find favour in Potiphar’s house (Genesis 39:4).

3. MANIFESTATIONS OF FAVOUR

a) Promotion and Success
Favour leads to elevation in our careers and ministries (Psalm 75:6-7).

b) Divine Connections
God brings people into our lives who will help us achieve our purpose (Esther 2:15-17).

c) Overcoming Obstacles
Favour allows us to face challenges with confidence, knowing God is on our side (Romans 8:31).

d) Unexpected Blessings
Favour can bring blessings that we did not expect or work for (Proverbs 10:22).

Biblical Example: Esther's Favour with the King – Esther received favour that allowed her to save her people (Esther 5:2).

4. HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR FAVOUR

a) Cultivate a Relationship with God
Regular prayer and devotion draw us closer to God, increasing His favour in our lives (James 4:8).

b) Live a Life of Integrity
Upholding honesty and integrity positions us for divine favour (Proverbs 11:3).

c) Serve Others
Acts of kindness and service open the door to favour (Galatians 6:9-10).

d) Speak Words of Blessing
Our words have power; speaking blessings invites favour into our lives (Proverbs 18:21).

Biblical Example: Daniel's Integrity – Daniel’s commitment to God and his integrity resulted in favour from King Darius (Daniel 6:3).

a) Give Thanks to God
Acknowledging God's favour with gratitude keeps our hearts aligned with Him (Psalm 107:1).

We should leverage the favour we receive for God’s glory and the benefit of others (1 Peter 4:10).

Remembering that favour is a gift keeps us humble and reliant on God (1 Peter 5:6).

d) Testify of His Goodness
Sharing our experiences of favour encourages others to seek God (Psalm 66:16).

Biblical Example: David's Gratitude – David constantly praised God for His favour throughout his life (Psalm 30:1-5).
