MY APPOINTED TIME HAS COME

Title: MY APPOINTED TIME HAS COME

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text:  Habakkuk 2:3
Supporting Texts: Ecclesiastes 3:1, Psalm 102:13, Isaiah 60:22

INTRODUCTION
Life is filled with times and seasons, and God, in His infinite wisdom, has appointed specific times for His purposes to be fulfilled. Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us that God’s promises may take time, but when the appointed time comes, it will not delay. There are moments when it seems like the promises are far off, but suddenly, God brings His word to pass. Today, I declare over your life that your appointed time has come! The delay is over, and the season of fulfillment is here.

1. UNDERSTANDING GOD'S TIMING
a) God's Sovereign Timetable
God operates on a divine timetable, and His plans for our lives are set according to His perfect wisdom. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a time for everything under heaven. Often, we may wonder why certain things haven’t happened yet, but God is never late. His timing is perfect, and when your appointed time comes, nothing can stop it.

b) Delays Are Not Denials
Habakkuk 2:3 teaches us that though the vision tarries, it will surely come to pass. There may have been delays in your life, but those delays do not mean denial. God is preparing you for the manifestation of His promises, and when the appointed time comes, you will experience a divine shift.

Biblical Example: Abraham's Wait for Isaac (Genesis 21:1-2)
Abraham waited many years for the promised child, Isaac. Despite the delay, God fulfilled His word at the appointed time. No matter how long you’ve waited, the promise of God over your life will manifest in due time.

2. THE SET TIME FOR FAVOR

a) The Time to Be Favored
Psalm 102:13 says, "You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come." This scripture speaks of a specific, appointed time when God decides to pour out His favor. When that time comes, no power of darkness can stop it. It’s a time of divine visitation where God’s favor transforms every aspect of your life.

b) Supernatural Favor
When your appointed time comes, the favor of God will propel you into places you never imagined. You will receive opportunities, blessings, and open doors that are beyond human understanding. Your struggle is about to give way to divine favor.

Biblical Example: Esther’s Favor with the King (Esther 5:1-2)
At the appointed time, Queen Esther found favor with the king, and through her, God delivered the entire Jewish nation. When it’s your appointed time, God’s favor will grant you access to realms of influence and breakthrough.

3. BREAKING THE POWER OF DELAY

a) Destroying the Spirit of Delay
One of the strategies the enemy uses to hinder God’s promises is the spirit of delay. But when your appointed time comes, every delay must be broken. Delay may have held you back, but as you step into your appointed time, the chains of delay are being destroyed in the name of Jesus.

b) God's Speed
Isaiah 60:22 declares, "I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time." When God’s appointed time comes, He accelerates things in your life. What took others years to achieve, you will accomplish in a short time. When God’s hand is upon you, He redeems time and fast-tracks your progress.

Biblical Example: Joseph’s Sudden Promotion (Genesis 41:41)
Joseph spent years in prison, but when his appointed time came, in one day, he was promoted from the prison to the palace. God can move you from obscurity to prominence in a moment when your time has come.

4. THE WAITING PERIOD

a) Trusting God in the Waiting
Before the appointed time, there is often a waiting period. This is the time when God refines, prepares, and molds us for what is to come. Waiting can be difficult, but Isaiah 40:31 encourages us that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Your waiting is not wasted time; it is preparation for the greater things ahead.

b) Holding Onto the Promise
While you wait, it is important to hold onto the promises of God and keep your faith alive. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Don’t let the waiting cause you to doubt; know that the fulfillment is certain.

Biblical Example: David Anointed but Waiting (1 Samuel 16:13)
David was anointed king long before he sat on the throne. During his waiting period, he faced battles, opposition, and trials, but he kept his eyes on the promise. In the same way, trust that your appointed time will come and you will see the manifestation of God’s promise.

5. STEPPING INTO YOUR APPOINTED TIME

a) Prophetic Shift
When the appointed time arrives, there is a prophetic shift in the spiritual atmosphere. God releases His word, and everything aligns for the fulfillment of His purposes. It’s like the turning of a page in the story of your life. What was once delayed is now released, and every hindrance is removed.

b) Walking in God’s Timing
Once you recognize that your appointed time has come, it is important to step out in faith. Don’t hesitate or hold back. Walk boldly into the opportunities God is opening before you. Like the children of Israel, when the cloud of God moves, we must follow (Numbers 9:17). Your appointed time requires action, faith, and obedience.

Biblical Example: Sarah’s Appointed Time to Give Birth (Genesis 21:2)
At the set time, Sarah conceived and gave birth to Isaac, even though it seemed impossible. God’s appointed time is unstoppable, and when it comes, no obstacle can stand in the way.

CONCLUSION
Your appointed time has come! This is the season where God’s promises over your life will be fulfilled. Just as He has done for many before you, He is about to show up and show out in your life. The delays, the struggles, and the waiting are coming to an end, and God is about to lift you up into your season of breakthrough. It’s time to celebrate, for your appointed time has finally arrived!
