INTRODUCTION
Many people struggle with feelings of insignificance, believing they have no value in God’s plan. Life’s challenges, failures, and disappointments often make people feel discarded or forgotten. However, God does not create waste material. Everything He makes has a purpose, and He never allows anything to be lost.

After feeding the 5000, Jesus told His disciples to gather the leftover bread and fish so that nothing would go to waste. This simple instruction reveals a profound truth—God values even the seemingly insignificant. If He cares for the fragments of bread, how much more does He care for you?

You are not an accident. You are not forgotten. No matter where you find yourself in life, you are still important to God. This sermon will explore biblical truths that affirm your worth in Christ and prove that God has no waste material.

1. GOD DOES NOT CREATE ANYTHING USELESS

Everything God makes serves a purpose, including you.

a) God Created You Intentionally
You are not a mistake; God formed you with a specific purpose (Jeremiah 1:5).

b) You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
Your life is a masterpiece of divine craftsmanship (Psalm 139:14).

c) God’s Plans for You Are Good
Even when you feel lost, God is leading you toward His purpose (Jeremiah 29:11).

d) Nothing in God’s Hands Is Wasted
Just as He gathered the leftovers, He can restore and use you (John 6:12).

e) Biblical Example: Gideon saw himself as the least, but God used him to deliver Israel (Judges 6:12-15).

2. YOUR PAST DOES NOT DISQUALIFY YOU

God can turn your past failures into testimonies of His grace.

a) God Specialises in Restoring the Broken
No matter how broken you feel, God can make you whole again (Psalm 147:3).

b) Your Mistakes Do Not Define You
Even if you have failed, God’s grace is greater than your failures (Romans 5:20).

c) God Uses the Rejected and Overlooked
Man may discard you, but God chooses the weak to confound the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27).

d) God Can Rewrite Your Story
No situation is beyond His power to change (Job 42:10).

e) Biblical Example: Rahab was once a harlot, but God transformed her into an ancestor of Jesus (Matthew 1:5).

3. YOU HAVE A DIVINE ASSIGNMENT

God has a purpose for your life that no one else can fulfil.

a) You Are God’s Workmanship
Created for good works that bring Him glory (Ephesians 2:10).

b) Every Part of the Body of Christ Is Important
No one is insignificant in God’s kingdom (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

c) God Calls You to Be a Light
Your life is meant to impact others positively (Matthew 5:14-16).

d) Your Assignment Is Unique
You are not in competition with anyone; fulfil your own calling (Galatians 6:4-5).

e) Biblical Example: Moses felt inadequate, but God empowered him to lead Israel (Exodus 3:11-12).

4. GOD IS STILL WORKING ON YOU

Your journey is not over; God is still shaping your destiny.

a) God’s Process Takes Time
He works in you daily to bring out His best (Philippians 1:6).

b) Trials Are Part of Your Growth
Difficulties refine you into who God wants you to be (James 1:2-4).

c) God’s Strength Is Perfect in Weakness
Even when you feel weak, His power sustains you (2 Corinthians 12:9).

d) You Are Being Transformed Daily
Through the Holy Spirit, God is making you more like Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18).

e) Biblical Example: Peter denied Jesus but was later restored and became a great apostle (John 21:15-17).

5. GOD WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU

Even when you feel forgotten, God remembers you.

a) God Will Never Leave You
His presence is with you always (Hebrews 13:5).

b) You Are Engraved in His Hands
God’s love for you is unshakable (Isaiah 49:15-16).

c) He Works Everything for Your Good
Even disappointments will turn into testimonies (Romans 8:28).

d) God Finishes What He Starts
He will complete the work He has begun in your life (Philippians 1:6).

e) Biblical Example: Joseph was abandoned by his brothers, but God lifted him to greatness (Genesis 50:20).

CONCLUSION
No matter what you have been through, you are not a waste material in God's hands. He values you, loves you, and has a great plan for your life. Just as Jesus instructed the disciples to gather the fragments so that nothing would be lost, He is gathering every piece of your life and shaping it into something beautiful.

Stop believing the lies that you are forgotten, useless, or beyond redemption. Surrender to God, and He will make something glorious out of your life. Remember, God has no waste material—you are still important to Him!
