INTRODUCTION

One of the most powerful truths in the Bible is that no one is beyond the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The world may condemn certain people as hopeless, irredeemable, or too far gone in sin, but Jesus came specifically for such individuals. Luke 19:10 declares that Jesus came to seek and save the lost, demonstrating that no case is too difficult for Him.

The enemy often deceives people into thinking that their sins are too many or too grievous for God to forgive. Some feel unworthy of redemption because of their past mistakes, while others have been written off by society. However, the love of Christ reaches beyond human failures, and His grace is greater than any sin.

This sermon will highlight the limitless mercy of Jesus, the biblical evidence that no one is beyond His reach, and how to receive His saving power.

1. JESUS CAME FOR THE WORST OF SINNERS

No matter how deep a person has fallen into sin, Jesus is willing and able to save them.

a) Jesus Did Not Come for the Righteous but for Sinners (Mark 2:17)
He came to call those who are lost, not those who consider themselves righteous.

b) His Blood Cleanses Every Sin (1 John 1:7)
There is no sin too great that the blood of Jesus cannot wash away.

c) God’s Mercy Is Greater Than Any Wrong (Lamentations 3:22-23)
His mercies are new every morning, offering a fresh start to anyone who turns to Him.

d) He Receives All Who Come to Him (John 6:37)
Jesus never rejects anyone who sincerely seeks Him, regardless of their past.

e) Biblical Example: The thief on the cross was a criminal sentenced to death, but with one act of faith, Jesus saved him and promised him paradise (Luke 23:39-43).

2. GOD SPECIALISES IN TRANSFORMING THE REJECTED

God is not only willing to save the lost but also to transform them into useful vessels for His glory.

a) He Chooses the Weak to Shame the Strong (1 Corinthians 1:27)
God often calls those the world has despised and lifts them for His purpose.

b) No One Is Beyond Redemption (Isaiah 1:18)
Even if sins are as red as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow when forgiven by Jesus.

c) The Past Does Not Define a Person’s Future in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Anyone in Christ becomes a new creation, with a completely transformed identity.

d) God Loves the Unworthy (Romans 5:8)
Jesus died for us while we were still sinners, proving that salvation is not based on human merit.

e) Biblical Example: Saul of Tarsus was a fierce persecutor of Christians, but after an encounter with Jesus, he became the great Apostle Paul (Acts 9:1-6).

3. JESUS NEVER GIVES UP ON THE LOST

Unlike people who may write off sinners, Jesus relentlessly seeks the lost and brings them back.

a) He Leaves the 99 to Find the One (Luke 15:4-7)
Jesus pursues the lost sheep and rejoices when they return to Him.

b) God Is Patient, Not Wanting Anyone to Perish (2 Peter 3:9)
He gives people opportunities to repent rather than rushing to judge them.

c) Even the Worst Can Become Great in God’s Hands (Jeremiah 18:4-6)
Like a potter reshaping clay, God can rebuild broken lives for His glory.

d) The Love of Christ Is Unconditional (Romans 8:38-39)
Nothing can separate us from His love, no matter how far we have strayed.

e) Biblical Example: Mary Magdalene was possessed by seven demons, but Jesus delivered her, and she became one of His closest followers (Luke 8:2).

4. THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE WHO REPENTS

No one is too far gone as long as they are willing to turn to Jesus in repentance.

a) Salvation Is a Gift, Not a Reward (Ephesians 2:8-9)
It is not earned by works but given freely to those who believe.

b) Whoever Calls on the Name of Jesus Will Be Saved (Romans 10:13)
Salvation is available to anyone, regardless of background or past sins.

c) Repentance Brings Restoration (Acts 3:19)
Turning away from sin opens the door to a new life in Christ.

d) Jesus Stands at the Door of Every Heart (Revelation 3:20)
He knocks, waiting for people to open their hearts to Him.

e) Biblical Example: The prodigal son wasted his life in sin but was fully restored when he repented and returned to his father (Luke 15:11-24).

5. STEPS TO RECEIVE JESUS’ SAVING POWER

Jesus is ready to save anyone who follows the path of salvation.

a) Acknowledge Your Need for Salvation (Romans 3:23)
Recognising that all have sinned is the first step to receiving Jesus.

b) Believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour (John 3:16)
Salvation comes through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection.

c) Confess Your Sins and Ask for Forgiveness (1 John 1:9)
God is faithful to forgive those who confess and turn away from sin.

d) Surrender Your Life to Jesus (Galatians 2:20)
True salvation means giving up control and letting Jesus lead.

e) Biblical Example: Zacchaeus, the corrupt tax collector, found salvation when he repented and invited Jesus into his home (Luke 19:1-10).

CONCLUSION

No one is too lost for Jesus to save. His grace is greater than every sin, and His love reaches even the most broken. Whether someone has lived a life of rebellion, crime, or addiction, there is always hope in Christ. He does not condemn but welcomes all who come to Him. The enemy may whisper lies of guilt and shame, but the truth remains that Jesus’ blood has the power to cleanse and restore.

If you feel unworthy or distant from God, today is the day of salvation. Jesus is calling you, ready to transform your life and give you a fresh start. There is no case too hopeless, no sin too great, and no past too dark that Jesus cannot redeem. Will you respond to His call today?
