THE GOD OF EXPLOITS
By Rev. Samuel Arimoro
Main Text: Daniel 11:32
Key Verse: “But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32, KJV)
Supporting Texts: Jeremiah 32:27, Exodus 15:11, Luke 1:37, Ephesians 3:20
Description: God is the source of all supernatural exploits, and those who know Him intimately are empowered to manifest His mighty works.
INTRODUCTION:
The God we serve is not an ordinary God; He is the God of exploits. Throughout Scripture, we see Him performing wonders that defy human explanation—parting seas, shutting lions’ mouths, raising the dead, and delivering His people with a mighty hand. He reveals Himself as the God who does the impossible and brings glory to His name through mighty acts.
Exploits are supernatural achievements beyond human ability, and they are only possible through the power of God. When a man knows God intimately, trusts Him completely, and walks with Him faithfully, he becomes a vessel through which God demonstrates His power. This makes Christianity not a religion of words only but of power and demonstration of the Spirit.
In this sermon, we shall examine who the God of exploits is, how He empowers His children to do mighty works, and what it takes to manifest His power in our generation.
1. THE GOD OF EXPLOITS IS THE ALL-POWERFUL GOD
God’s nature as the Almighty makes Him the source of all supernatural acts.
a) God is Unlimited (Jeremiah 32:27)
There is no situation too difficult for Him to handle.
b) God is the Creator (Genesis 1:1–3)
As the Creator, He has power over everything He made.
c) God is the Miracle Worker (Exodus 15:11)
His wonders are unmatched in heaven and earth.
d) God is Sovereign (Psalm 115:3)
He does whatever pleases Him, and no one can resist His will.
Biblical Example: God displayed His power by parting the Red Sea and delivering Israel from Pharaoh’s army (Exodus 14:21-22).
2. THE GOD OF EXPLOITS EMPOWERS HIS PEOPLE
God never calls anyone to do exploits by human effort; He supplies His strength and Spirit.
a) God Gives Strength (Isaiah 40:29-31)
He renews the strength of those who wait upon Him.
b) God Anoints with Power (Acts 10:38)
The anointing of the Holy Spirit equips believers for exploits.
c) God Releases His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6)
Exploits are done not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit.
d) God Gives Boldness (Acts 4:29-31)
Divine courage enables believers to step into exploits without fear.
Biblical Example: Gideon, though weak and afraid, was empowered by God to deliver Israel from the Midianites (Judges 6:14-16).
3. THE GOD OF EXPLOITS RESPONDS TO FAITH
Faith is the key that unlocks the mighty works of God.
a) Faith Brings Divine Intervention (Hebrews 11:33-34)
Through faith, men subdued kingdoms, stopped lions, and obtained promises.
b) Faith Sees Possibilities (Mark 9:23)
Nothing is impossible to those who believe.
c) Faith Pleases God (Hebrews 11:6)
Without faith, no exploits are possible because God is not pleased.
d) Faith Turns Challenges into Testimonies (Matthew 17:20)
Even a mustard seed of faith moves mountains.
Biblical Example: By faith, Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, and God responded with a great miracle (Joshua 10:12-14).
4. THE GOD OF EXPLOITS MANIFESTS THROUGH OBEDIENCE
Obedience to God’s Word and instructions provokes supernatural acts.
a) Obedience Demonstrates Trust (Deuteronomy 28:1)
God honours those who diligently obey His voice.
b) Obedience Unlocks Miracles (John 2:5-9)
At the wedding in Cana, the servants’ obedience brought about the miracle of turning water into wine.
c) Obedience Requires Sacrifice (Genesis 22:16-18)
Abraham’s willingness to obey released generational blessings.
d) Disobedience Hinders Exploits (1 Samuel 15:22-23)
Partial obedience is disobedience, and it closes the door to divine acts.
Biblical Example: Naaman obeyed the prophetic instruction of Elisha, and his leprosy was healed (2 Kings 5:10-14).
CONCLUSION:
The God of exploits is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has not changed, and He still performs mighty works in the lives of those who know Him, trust Him, and obey Him. If you will know Him intimately, be filled with His Spirit, walk by faith, and obey His Word, your life will be a platform for supernatural demonstrations.
Do not settle for a powerless Christian life. Rise up in faith and align yourself with the God of exploits. Then you will see His mighty hand at work in every area of your life, and others will glorify Him through your testimony.
