Description: The ember months may be associated with calamity, fear, and sudden destruction, but God has made a covenant of divine exemption to preserve His children from every evil.

INTRODUCTION
As we enter the ember months, many people become fearful, associating these months with accidents, calamities, deaths, and strange occurrences. But the child of God must understand that seasons do not determine our destiny; the covenant of God does. We are not victims of times and seasons; rather, we are victors in Christ Jesus.

The world may say the ember months are dangerous, but Scripture assures us that “the sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.” The covenant of exemption covers every day, every week, every month, and every season of our lives.

Therefore, this season should not be one of fear for the believer but of confidence in God’s power of preservation. You shall not be a victim of the ember months, because God has marked you out for divine exemption.

1. THE REALITY OF DANGERS IN THE EMBER MONTHS
The ember months often come with increased travels, heightened activities, and demonic attacks, but God has promised to keep His people safe.

a) Season of Increased Evil (Matthew 24:12)
Evil abounds in the last days, and the ember months amplify satanic activities, but God’s word remains sure.

b) Season of Restlessness (Job 5:19)
While others are troubled, God delivers His children from every trouble.

c) Season of Traps and Snares (Psalm 91:3)
The enemy lays traps to destroy, but God delivers us from the snare of the fowler.

d) Season of Fear (2 Timothy 1:7)
Many live in fear of accidents and death, but God has given us a spirit of power, love, and sound mind.

Biblical Example: Israel in Egypt faced the plague of death, but those with the blood-marked houses were exempted (Exodus 12:23).

2. THE COVENANT OF EXEMPTION IN CHRIST
Every child of God has access to exemption through covenant promises.

a) Exemption by the Blood (Exodus 12:13)
The blood of Jesus speaks preservation and exemption from destruction.

b) Exemption by the Word (Psalm 121:7-8)
God’s Word guarantees protection day and night, throughout all seasons.

c) Exemption by the Spirit (Ephesians 1:13)
The Holy Spirit seals us and marks us as untouchable.

d) Exemption by God’s Presence (Isaiah 43:2)
When you walk through fire or water, His presence ensures you are not consumed.

Biblical Example: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were exempted from the fire because of God’s presence (Daniel 3:25).

3. WALKING IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF EXEMPTION
Exemption must not only be believed; it must be consciously lived out.

a) Faith in God’s Covenant (Hebrews 11:6)
Without faith, the covenant cannot work effectively.

b) Confessing Preservation Daily (Proverbs 18:21)
Speak words of life, declaring that no evil will swallow you.

c) Living in Obedience (Isaiah 1:19)
Obedience keeps the covenant covering effective.

d) Engaging in Prayer and Intercession (Psalm 91:15)
Prayer activates the reality of divine exemption.

Biblical Example: Daniel was preserved in the lions’ den because he lived in obedience and prayed continually (Daniel 6:22).

4. THE BLESSINGS OF DIVINE EXEMPTION IN THE EMBER MONTHS
Those who live under divine exemption enjoy peace, favour, and victory in perilous times.

a) Peace in the Midst of Storms (John 14:27)
God gives supernatural peace when others panic.

b) Favour in the Midst of Crisis (Exodus 11:3)
Even in dangerous times, God’s people find favour.

c) Safety in All Journeys (Psalm 121:8)
God guarantees our going out and coming in.

d) Testimonies in Troubled Times (Psalm 91:16)
Long life and salvation are guaranteed to the exempted.

Biblical Example: Paul was preserved during the shipwreck in Acts 27 because he carried the covenant of divine exemption.

CONCLUSION
The ember months may be dreaded by many, but they shall not swallow you because of the covenant of exemption. While others are victims of accidents, tragedies, and sudden destruction, you shall be preserved because you carry the divine mark.

Stay confident in God’s promises, live in obedience, and keep your faith strong. The One who preserved Israel in Goshen, Daniel in the lions’ den, and Paul on the sea is the same God who will preserve you in these ember months.
