THE SICKNESS THAT ENDS OTHERS’ STORIES WILL NOT END YOURS

It that sickness, which has destroyed the destinies of others, will not end their journey because God has destined them for healing, wholeness, and fulfilment.

INTRODUCTION:
Life is full of uncertainties, and one of the greatest threats to human existence is sickness. Sickness has cut short the lives of many and terminated destinies before their time. However, for a child of God, sickness is not the final chapter of the story. God has written a different ending for His people.

While others may have been consumed by afflictions, the believer has a covenant promise that their story will not end in sickness but in victory. Jesus declared concerning Lazarus, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God.” That same word echoes into our lives today. Whatever sickness others have fallen to will not swallow us, because our covenant with Christ ensures a glorious outcome.

The assurance of God’s Word is that we shall live and not die, to declare the works of the Lord. We are not at the mercy of sickness or disease; we are under the covering of the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities on the cross. Therefore, no matter how fierce the affliction, your destiny is untouchable, and your life will continue as ordained by God.

1. GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY OVER YOUR LIFE

a) God’s authority over death and sickness (Psalm 118:17) – Your end is not determined by sickness but by God’s word.

b) Sickness is not your conclusion (John 11:4) – Jesus determines the final outcome of your life.

c) God overrides medical reports (Isaiah 53:5) – Doctors may diagnose, but God has the power to heal completely.

d) Your days are numbered by God, not by sickness (Job 14:5) – No sickness can cut short the life God has preserved.

Biblical Example: Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:1-6) – Though told to prepare for death, God extended his life by fifteen years.

2. JESUS IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

a) Christ carries our sicknesses (Matthew 8:17) – He bore our infirmities on the cross.

b) His healing ministry continues today (Hebrews 13:8) – The Jesus who healed yesterday still heals today.

c) Jesus restores wholeness, not partial healing (Mark 5:34) – Healing is complete in Him.

d) The blood of Jesus speaks health and deliverance (Revelation 12:11) – Victory over affliction comes through His blood.

Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34) – She touched Jesus and received instant healing after twelve years of affliction.

3. SICKNESS IS NOT YOUR PORTION

a) Healing is part of the covenant (Exodus 15:26) – God declared Himself as our Healer.

b) You are redeemed from every curse of sickness (Galatians 3:13) – Christ’s sacrifice freed you from affliction.

c) You are set apart from generational afflictions (Psalm 91:10) – Evil shall not befall you nor plague come near your dwelling.

d) God restores health and wholeness (Jeremiah 30:17) – Restoration is assured for the redeemed.

Biblical Example: Naaman (2 Kings 5:10-14) – Though plagued with leprosy, he received total healing by obedience.

4. YOUR LIFE IS PRESERVED FOR A PURPOSE

a) You cannot die until your assignment is fulfilled (Acts 13:36) – Like David, you must serve your generation before departure.

b) Destiny cannot be cut short by sickness (Jeremiah 1:5) – God’s plan secures your life.

c) God upholds you with His right hand (Isaiah 41:10) – His preservation guarantees longevity.

d) Your testimony is tied to your preservation (Psalm 91:16) – With long life, He will satisfy you.

Biblical Example: Paul (Philippians 1:21-25) – Though threatened with death, he declared it was needful for him to live to fulfil his assignment.

5. YOUR STORY WILL END IN VICTORY, NOT IN TRAGEDY

a) God turns affliction into a testimony (Romans 8:28) – Even sickness works for your good.

b) You are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37) – No sickness can defeat you.

c) Your end shall be glorious (Jeremiah 29:11) – God’s plan is for peace, not disaster.

d) Your healing will bring glory to God (John 9:3) – What seems like sickness will glorify God in your life.

Biblical Example: Lazarus (John 11:1-44) – His sickness did not end in death but in resurrection, bringing glory to God.

CONCLUSION:
Sickness may end the story of others, but it cannot end yours because you are covered by the covenant of life in Christ. God has promised that you shall live to fulfil destiny, and no affliction can rewrite His divine script for your life.
Therefore, stand firm in faith and refuse to bow to fear. The sickness that swallows others will not swallow you. Your end will be glorious, your testimony will be resounding, and your healing will bring honour to God.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, thank You because my life is hidden in Christ, and no sickness has the final say over me (Colossians 3:3).

2. Lord, by Your stripes, I receive total healing and deliverance from every sickness assigned to end my story (Isaiah 53:5).

3. Father, let every sickness operating in my body lose its power and grip in Jesus’ name (Nahum 1:9).

4. Lord, arise and swallow up every affliction targeted at cutting short my destiny (Psalm 118:17).

5. Father, by the blood of Jesus, I cancel every evil covenant of premature death through sickness (Hebrews 9:14).

6. Lord, let every inherited or generational sickness be destroyed in my life and lineage (Galatians 3:13).

7. Father, let every sickness that ended the story of others in my family bow to the power of Jesus in my life (Romans 8:11).

8. Lord, preserve me from terminal diseases and grant me long life and sound health (Psalm 91:16).

9. Father, let divine health become my portion daily as I serve You (Exodus 23:25).

10. Lord, glorify Yourself in my life by making me a testimony of healing and divine preservation (John 11:4).

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
1. I declare that sickness will not end your story in Jesus’ name!

2. Every affliction programmed to cut short your life is destroyed now!

3. You shall not die of the sickness that killed others in your lineage!

4. By the blood of Jesus, you are exempted from sickness and premature death!

5. I declare total healing and wholeness upon your body in the name of Jesus!

6. Whatever sickness doctors cannot cure, the power of God shall remove from your life!

7. You shall live to fulfil your divine destiny in sound health!

8. No evil report concerning your health shall stand against you!

9. Your life will be a testimony of divine health and healing!

10. I prophesy long life, strength, and vitality upon you — sickness shall never end your story!
