INTRODUCTION:
Divine presence refers to the manifest presence of God that goes with His people, providing guidance, protection, peace, and assurance of victory. It is the greatest asset of a believer, distinguishing them in life and ministry. Without the presence of God, no true progress or fulfilment can be achieved.

1. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF DIVINE PRESENCE

a) Assurance of Rest:
God’s presence brings peace and rest even in troubling times (Matthew 11:28).

b) Guarantee of Protection:
His presence is a shield against every danger (Psalm 91:1-2).

c) Source of Joy:
In God’s presence is fullness of joy and pleasures forever (Psalm 16:11).

d) Guidance and Direction:
God leads His people by His presence (Isaiah 30:21).

e) Biblical Example: Moses relied on God’s presence to lead Israel (Exodus 33:15).

2. CHARACTERISTICS OF DIVINE PRESENCE

a) Tangible and Real:
God’s presence can be felt and experienced (Acts 2:1-4).

b) Transformative Power:
It changes lives and situations (Isaiah 6:5-7).

c) Continuous and Unfailing:
God never leaves or forsakes His people (Hebrews 13:5).

d) Accompanied by Miracles:
Signs and wonders follow God’s presence (Mark 16:20).

e) Biblical Example: God’s presence caused the Red Sea to part (Exodus 14:19-21).

3. HOW TO ACCESS DIVINE PRESENCE

a) Intimacy with God:
Build a relationship through prayer and worship (James 4:8).

b) Obedience to His Word:
Walk in His ways to attract His presence (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

c) Faith and Trust:
Believe in His promises and rely on His power (Proverbs 3:5-6).

d) Purity and Holiness:
God dwells where there is holiness (Psalm 24:3-4).

e) Biblical Example: The early disciples accessed divine presence through prayer (Acts 1:14, Acts 2:1-4).

4. BENEFITS OF DIVINE PRESENCE

a) Victory over Enemies:
God’s presence scatters all opposition (Psalm 68:1).

b) Divine Favour:
His presence ensures favour in every area of life (Genesis 39:2-3).

c) Divine Provision:
God supplies all needs in His presence (Philippians 4:19).

d) Empowerment for Service:
His presence equips for effective ministry (Acts 1:8).

e) Biblical Example: Joseph prospered because of God’s presence (Genesis 39:21-23).

5. PRESERVING DIVINE PRESENCE

a) Constant Fellowship with God:
Remain in communion with Him (John 15:4-5).

b) Avoiding Sin:
Sin drives away God’s presence (Isaiah 59:2).

c) Gratitude and Worship:
A thankful heart attracts His presence (Psalm 100:4).

d) Humility and Reverence:
Honour God in all your ways (Isaiah 66:2).

e) Biblical Example: David preserved God’s presence through worship and repentance (Psalm 51:11).

CONCLUSION:
Divine presence is indispensable for a victorious and fulfilling life. It assures guidance, protection, provision, and ultimate success. Cultivate and cherish His presence daily through intimacy, obedience, and a lifestyle of worship. When God is with you, no mountain can stand in your way.
