INTRODUCTION:
Every great manifestation is preceded by diligent preparation. Just as a farmer prepares the soil before planting and an athlete trains before a competition, believers must prepare for the manifestation of God's promises and purposes. Lack of preparation often leads to missed opportunities and unfulfilled destinies. This message explores the importance, process, and rewards of preparation for manifestation.
1. THE IMPORTANCE OF PREPARATION
a) Unlocks Divine Potential:
Preparation equips you to maximise the opportunities God brings (2 Timothy 2:21).
b) Prevents Failure:
Proper preparation reduces the likelihood of setbacks (Luke 14:28).
c) Demonstrates Faith:
Preparing for what you believe is an act of faith (Hebrews 11:7).
d) Aligns You with God’s Timing:
Preparation ensures you are ready when God moves (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
e) Biblical Example:
Joseph’s years of preparation in Potiphar’s house and prison positioned him to manifest as a leader in Egypt (Genesis 41:39-41).
2. AREAS WHERE PREPARATION IS ESSENTIAL
a) Spiritual Preparation:
Prayer, fasting, and studying the Word prepare you for divine encounters (Matthew 4:2).
b) Mental Preparation:
Renewing your mind aligns your thoughts with God’s plans (Romans 12:2).
c) Emotional Preparation:
Developing emotional maturity ensures stability during challenges (Proverbs 16:32).
d) Physical Preparation:
Taking care of your body and resources positions you for long-term success (1 Corinthians 9:27).
e) Biblical Example:
Esther prepared herself physically and spiritually before approaching the king (Esther 4:16, Esther 5:1).
3. HOW TO PREPARE FOR MANIFESTATION
a) Seek God’s Guidance:
Let God direct your plans and steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).
b) Build Capacity:
Acquire knowledge, skills, and resources needed for your purpose (Daniel 1:17).
c) Eliminate Distractions:
Remove anything that hinders your focus on God’s plan (Hebrews 12:1).
d) Cultivate Patience:
Wait on God’s timing with diligence and faith (Psalm 27:14).
e) Biblical Example:
The ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 highlight the importance of spiritual readiness and foresight.
4. THE CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF PREPARATION
a) Missed Opportunities:
Unpreparedness leads to loss when opportunities arise (Matthew 25:10).
b) Stagnation:
Without preparation, progress becomes impossible (Proverbs 6:9-11).
c) Shame and Regret:
Failing to prepare often results in public disgrace (Luke 14:29).
d) Unfulfilled Potential:
Lack of preparation hinders the fulfilment of destiny (2 Timothy 4:10).
e) Biblical Example:
The Israelites wandered for 40 years because they were not prepared to enter the Promised Land (Numbers 14:30-34).
5. THE REWARDS OF PREPARATION
a) Divine Manifestation:
God honours those who are prepared (1 Corinthians 2:9).
b) Fruitfulness:
Prepared hearts yield great spiritual harvests (Luke 8:15).
c) Victory Over Challenges:
Preparation equips you to overcome obstacles (Ephesians 6:13).
d) Eternal Rewards:
Preparedness ensures readiness for Christ’s return (Matthew 24:44).
e) Biblical Example:
David’s preparation in the wilderness prepared him to defeat Goliath and rule Israel (1 Samuel 17:34-37).
CONCLUSION:
Preparation is not optional for those who desire divine manifestation. It is the foundation upon which God’s promises are fulfilled. Begin today to prepare spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically for the manifestation of God’s plans in your life. Remember, preparation precedes promotion!
