INTRODUCTION:
Divine immunity is the supernatural protection and preservation God provides for His children against harm, danger, and evil. Just as a nation grants immunity to certain individuals for their protection, God grants His own people spiritual immunity as they abide in Him. This immunity covers us from physical harm, spiritual attacks, and eternal separation from God. This sermon explores the dimensions and principles of divine immunity as revealed in the Scriptures.

1. WHAT IS DIVINE IMMUNITY?

a) Supernatural Protection from Harm:
God shields His people from seen and unseen dangers (Psalm 91:7).

b) Preservation of Life and Destiny:
God ensures that His plans for us are fulfilled without interruption (Jeremiah 29:11).

c) Victory over Spiritual Attacks:
Believers are equipped to overcome the enemy’s schemes (Ephesians 6:16).

d) Divine Coverage in Times of Crisis:
Even in times of global calamity, God protects His children (Isaiah 43:2).

e) Immunity Through the Blood of Jesus:
The blood of Christ speaks better things and secures us from destruction (Hebrews 12:24).

Biblical Example:
The Israelites in Goshen were spared from the plagues of Egypt, demonstrating God’s divine immunity (Exodus 8:22-23).

2. SOURCES OF DIVINE IMMUNITY

a) The Presence of God:
Abiding in God’s presence guarantees safety (Psalm 91:1).

b) The Word of God:
The Word is a shield against the lies and attacks of the enemy (Proverbs 30:5).

c) The Blood of Jesus:
The blood of Christ covers and protects us from all harm (Exodus 12:13).

d) The Angelic Hosts:
Angels are assigned to guard and protect believers (Psalm 34:7).

e) The Covenant of God:
God’s promises to His children ensure their preservation (Genesis 17:7).

Biblical Example:
Job’s life was protected by a hedge of divine immunity placed by God (Job 1:10).

3. BENEFITS OF DIVINE IMMUNITY

a) Freedom from Fear:
Knowing God is our refuge removes the fear of danger (Psalm 23:4).

b) Deliverance from Evil:
Divine immunity ensures deliverance from all schemes of the enemy (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

c) Assurance of Peace:
God’s protection brings peace even in turbulent times (John 14:27).

d) Sustenance in Famine or Crisis:
God provides for His children in challenging times (Psalm 37:19).

e) Preservation for Eternal Glory:
Divine immunity not only protects us here on earth but also secures our eternal destiny (John 10:28).

Biblical Example:
Daniel was preserved in the lion’s den because of divine immunity (Daniel 6:22).

4. KEYS TO ACTIVATING DIVINE IMMUNITY

a) Abiding in God’s Presence:
Dwell under the shadow of the Almighty for protection (Psalm 91:1).

b) Walking in Obedience:
Obedience to God’s Word aligns us with His protection (Deuteronomy 28:1-7).

c) Living a Life of Faith:
Faith activates the protective promises of God (Hebrews 11:6).

d) Maintaining Holiness and Righteousness:
God shields the upright in heart (Psalm 5:12).

e) Consistent Prayer and Worship:
Prayer and worship establish a protective barrier around us (Acts 16:25-26).

Biblical Example:
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were immune to the fire because of their unwavering faith and obedience to God (Daniel 3:16-27).

5. THREATS TO DIVINE IMMUNITY

a) Living in Sin:
Sin removes the hedge of divine protection (Ecclesiastes 10:8).

b) Fear and Doubt:
Fear weakens faith and invites the enemy’s attack (Job 3:25).

c) Disobedience to God’s Instructions:
Disobedience opens the door to danger (1 Samuel 15:23).

d) Ignorance of God’s Promises:
Not knowing what God has provided can lead to vulnerability (Hosea 4:6).

e) Neglecting the Place of Prayer:
A lack of prayer leaves a believer spiritually unguarded (Ephesians 6:18).

Biblical Example:
King Saul lost God’s protection due to his disobedience and rebellion (1 Samuel 16:14).

CONCLUSION:
Divine immunity is a privilege for God’s children, ensuring their protection, peace, and fulfilment of purpose. By walking in faith, obedience, and intimacy with God, we can experience the fullness of His supernatural protection. Let us trust in God’s promises and live under His covering, knowing that He is faithful to preserve His own.
