INTRODUCTION:
Uncommon greatness is not a product of human effort but a manifestation of divine favour, grace, and purpose. It is a greatness that stands out, distinguished by God's hand upon an individual. Such greatness is beyond the ordinary and defies the expectations of men. In Scripture, we see individuals like Jabez, David, and Daniel who rose to uncommon greatness, not because of their natural ability but because God’s favour was upon them. This study delves into what it means to walk in uncommon greatness and how we can position ourselves to experience it in our lives.

1. THE HAND OF GOD UPON YOU BRINGS UNCOMMON GREATNESS

a) God's Divine Favour:
Uncommon greatness is a result of God’s unmerited favour. When God favours someone, they experience open doors and opportunities beyond human understanding (Genesis 39:2-4).

b) God's Grace Makes the Difference:
The grace of God takes people from obscurity to prominence. It is not about where you started, but where God can take you (2 Corinthians 12:9).

c) God’s Presence with You:
The presence of God in a person’s life guarantees success and greatness, even in challenging circumstances (Exodus 33:14-17).

d) Divine Connection:
God strategically connects people to those who will usher them into greatness, just as Joseph was connected to Pharaoh (Genesis 41:39-41).

Biblical Example:
Jabez experienced uncommon greatness because of the divine hand of God upon his life, despite his humble beginnings (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).

2. UNCOMMON GREATNESS COMES THROUGH SUPERNATURAL WISDOM

a) Wisdom for Leadership:
Those who attain uncommon greatness are given divine wisdom to lead and make impactful decisions (Proverbs 8:15-16).

b) Wisdom to Solve Problems:
God grants uncommon greatness to those who can offer divine solutions to the problems of their time, as seen with Joseph and Daniel (Genesis 41:38-40).

c) Wisdom for Innovation:
God releases creative ideas and innovations that cause His people to stand out in their generation (Exodus 31:1-5).

d) Wisdom to Navigate Difficult Seasons:
Uncommon greatness is often birthed in seasons of adversity, and God gives wisdom to navigate such times with victory (James 1:5).

Biblical Example:
Daniel’s wisdom distinguished him in Babylon, and he rose to a position of uncommon greatness, serving under multiple kings
(Daniel 6:3).

3. UNCOMMON GREATNESS IS MARKED BY DIVINE PROMOTION

a) Promotion Comes from God:
True greatness comes from the Lord, who elevates individuals at the appointed time (Psalm 75:6-7).

b) God Lifts the Humble:
Humility is a key attribute for those destined for uncommon greatness. God exalts the humble and brings them to prominence (1 Peter 5:6).

c) God Opens Doors No Man Can Shut:
When God decides to promote someone, no power or opposition can stand in the way (Revelation 3:7-8).

d) Promotion in the Midst of Opposition:
Uncommon greatness is often seen in the midst of adversity. Even when others plot against you, God’s plan for your promotion will prevail (Isaiah 54:17).

Biblical Example:
Joseph’s life was marked by divine promotion. Despite the trials he faced, God promoted him from a prison cell to the palace (Genesis 41:39-41).

4. UNCOMMON GREATNESS IS SUSTAINED BY GOD’S COVENANT

a) God’s Covenant of Blessing:
Those who walk in covenant with God experience sustained greatness, as God’s promises remain steadfast in their lives (Genesis 17:1-7).

b) Generational Greatness:
God’s covenant extends beyond an individual to their descendants, ensuring that greatness is passed down from generation to generation (Deuteronomy 7:9).

c) God’s Covenant Protects the Great:
God’s covenant of protection ensures that the greatness He gives is preserved and maintained (Psalm 91:14-16).

d) Obedience to God’s Covenant:
Uncommon greatness is maintained through a life of obedience and commitment to God’s covenant (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

Biblical Example:
Abraham walked in a covenant relationship with God, and his greatness extended to his descendants, including Isaac, Jacob, and the nation of Israel (Genesis 12:2-3).

5. HOW TO EXPERIENCE UNCOMMON GREATNESS

a) Seek God's Presence:
Pursue a relationship with God above all else, for it is His presence that brings greatness (Psalm 16:11).

b) Walk in Faith:
Believe in the greatness that God has destined for you, regardless of your current circumstances (Hebrews 11:6).

c) Serve Faithfully:
Uncommon greatness is often birthed in a heart of service. Faithfully serve God and others, and He will elevate you in due time (Matthew 23:11).

d) Stay Humble:
Remain humble and allow God to lift you. Pride can hinder the manifestation of greatness (James 4:10).

Biblical Example:
David experienced uncommon greatness because he sought God’s presence, walked in faith, served faithfully, and remained humble throughout his journey (1 Samuel 18:12-14).

CONCLUSION:
Uncommon greatness is a divine gift, and it flows from God's hand. It is reserved for those who seek His presence, walk in faith, and humbly serve His purposes. Just like Jabez, Joseph, Daniel, and David, we can experience this level of greatness when we align ourselves with God's will and purpose for our lives. May we all position ourselves for the anointing and divine favour that leads to uncommon greatness.
