INTRODUCTION:
Greatness is not merely a result of human effort or strength but is often a product of divine anointing. The anointing represents the empowerment of the Holy Spirit upon an individual to accomplish God's purpose and to stand out for His glory. Throughout Scripture, we see how God anoints ordinary people and elevates them to extraordinary greatness. The anointing breaks yokes, opens doors, and sets individuals on the path to fulfilling divine destiny. This study explores how the anointing leads to greatness and how we can position ourselves to receive it.

1. THE ANOINTING BRINGS DIVINE ELEVATION

a) Chosen by God:
The anointing marks those whom God has chosen for His purpose, setting them apart for greatness (1 Samuel 16:1).

b) Empowered for Purpose:
God's anointing is the supernatural empowerment needed to carry out divine assignments beyond human capacity (Acts 1:8).

c) Favour with God and Men:
Anointed individuals receive divine favour, enabling them to succeed where others fail (Psalm 89:20-21).

d) Divine Promotion:
The anointing brings elevation from obscurity to prominence, as seen in the lives of David and Joseph (Psalm 75:6-7).

Biblical Example:
David was anointed as a shepherd boy, but the anointing propelled him to become the king of Israel (1 Samuel 16:13).

2. THE ANOINTING BREAKS YOKES AND LIMITATIONS

a) Destroying the Yoke of Oppression:
The anointing breaks every form of bondage and limitation that hinders one’s potential for greatness (Isaiah 10:27).

b) Freedom from Sin and Sickness:
The anointing delivers from the power of sin, sickness, and every form of affliction (Acts 10:38).

c) Breaking the Power of Generational Curses:
Through the anointing, believers are freed from ancestral curses and cycles of failure (Galatians 3:13).

d) Supernatural Breakthroughs:
Anointed individuals experience breakthroughs that defy natural limitations (Micah 2:13).

Biblical Example:
The anointing upon Samson enabled him to break the limitations of physical strength and deliver Israel from the Philistines (Judges 15:14-15).

3. THE ANOINTING ENABLES WISDOM FOR GREATNESS

a) Divine Insight and Revelation:
The anointing brings supernatural wisdom to navigate life’s challenges and make godly decisions (James 1:5).

b) Creative Ideas and Solutions:
Anointed individuals receive divine creativity and innovative solutions to complex problems (Exodus 31:3-5).

c) Strategic Leadership:
The anointing empowers individuals to lead with wisdom and understanding, guiding people to fulfil God's purpose (Proverbs 8:15-16).

d) Divine Counsel and Direction:
Those anointed by God receive direction for greatness, knowing when and how to act (Isaiah 11:2).

Biblical Example:
Solomon’s anointing brought him unparalleled wisdom, making him the greatest king of his time (1 Kings 3:12-13).

4. THE ANOINTING ESTABLISHES AUTHORITY AND DOMINION

a) Authority Over Spiritual Forces:
The anointing gives believers dominion over spiritual darkness and demonic powers (Luke 10:19).

b) Walking in God’s Power:
Anointed individuals walk in the supernatural power of God, performing miracles and signs (Mark 16:17-18).

c) Dominion Over Circumstances:
The anointing enables believers to rule over life’s challenges and walk in victory (Romans 5:17).

d) Divine Protection and Preservation:
The anointing provides divine protection, ensuring that no weapon formed against the anointed will prosper (Psalm 105:15).

Biblical Example:
Elijah’s anointing gave him authority over nature and the spiritual realm, as seen when he called down fire from heaven (1 Kings 18:36-38).

5. HOW TO RECEIVE AND WALK IN THE ANOINTING FOR GREATNESS

a) Consecration and Holiness:
The anointing flows in vessels that are consecrated and set apart for God's use (2 Timothy 2:21).

b) Hunger and Thirst for God:
Those who seek God passionately will be filled with His Spirit and anointing (Matthew 5:6).

c) Obedience to God’s Word:
The anointing increases as we walk in obedience to God's instructions and commands (Deuteronomy 28:1).

d) Faith and Expectation:
We must have faith in God’s ability to anoint us for greatness and expect the manifestation of His power (Hebrews 11:6).

Biblical Example:
Elisha received a double portion of Elijah's anointing by staying faithful, obedient, and persistent in his pursuit of God (2 Kings 2:9-10).

CONCLUSION:
The anointing for greatness is a divine empowerment that transforms ordinary individuals into vessels of honour and influence. Just as God anointed David, Solomon, and Elisha, He is still anointing men and women today to accomplish great things for His kingdom. To experience this anointing, we must walk in holiness, faith, and obedience, positioning ourselves for God's Spirit to work through us. May the anointing of the Holy Spirit rest upon us, enabling us to fulfil our divine destiny and experience greatness in every area of our lives.

9. Father, I declare that I will walk in divine protection and favour all my days.

10. Lord, may Your anointing set me apart for greatness and extraordinary accomplishments.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. I declare that you are anointed for greatness, and no power of darkness can stop you.

2. The Lord is breaking every limitation and yoke of bondage in your life.

3. You will walk in divine wisdom, solving problems and leading with authority.

4. The anointing of God will promote you to positions of influence and greatness.
