INTRODUCTION:
Consecration is a divine separation — a setting apart for God’s holy purposes. It is not merely a religious ritual but a total dedication of life, desires, and actions to the Lord. When you are consecrated, you are no longer ordinary; you are marked, preserved, and empowered for divine assignments.
The enemy loves to waste lives, talents, and destinies. He thrives on corrupting the purity of God’s vessels, distracting them from their calling, and using them for purposes contrary to the Kingdom. But when a believer is truly consecrated, their life becomes untouchable by the schemes of the enemy.
This message will stir your heart to understand that when you live fully yielded to God, you are too valuable to be wasted, too holy to be defiled, and too focused to be distracted.
1. WHAT IT MEANS TO BE CONSECRATED
a) Separated for divine purposes (Romans 12:1-2)
To be consecrated is to be wholly devoted to God’s will and detached from worldly contamination.
b) Purified for holy use (John 17:17)
God sanctifies His vessels through the truth of His Word.
c) Owned by God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Your life is no longer your own; you have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus.
d) Prepared for specific assignments (Isaiah 6:8)
Consecration makes you available and ready for whatever task God assigns.
Biblical Example: Samuel — consecrated from birth to serve in the house of the Lord.
2. SIGNS YOU ARE TOO CONSECRATED TO BE WASTED
a) You have a strong intolerance for sin (Psalm 4:3)
You are sensitive to anything that offends God’s holiness.
b) You live with Kingdom priorities (Matthew 6:33)
Your goals, relationships, and resources are aligned with God’s purposes.
c) You guard your heart diligently (Proverbs 4:23)
You refuse to allow the wrong influences to shape your thoughts and actions.
d) You remain steadfast under pressure (Daniel 1:8)
No trial or temptation can make you compromise your faith.
Biblical Example: Daniel — remained undefiled in Babylon and was preserved for God’s glory.
3. BENEFITS OF LIVING A CONSECRATED LIFE
a) Divine protection (Psalm 91:1-4)
God covers His consecrated ones with His wings of safety.
b) Fruitfulness and effectiveness (John 15:4-5)
A consecrated vessel bears lasting fruit in the Kingdom.
c) Access to divine secrets (Amos 3:7)
God reveals His plans to those who are wholly devoted to Him.
d) Eternal reward (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
Your consecration will echo in eternity with crowns of glory.
Biblical Example: Joseph — his purity preserved him for leadership in Egypt.
CONCLUSION:
Your consecration is your divine preservation. When you are fully yielded to God, no scheme of the enemy can derail your destiny. You are too anointed to be destroyed, too purified to be polluted, and too focused to be distracted.
This is not a call to legalism but to intimacy. The closer you walk with God, the more He marks your life as His own — and what belongs to Him, He will not allow to be wasted.
