INTRODUCTION:
Prosperity is not just about wealth or riches, but about God’s blessing resting upon a person’s life, producing fruitfulness, favour, and success. The Bible makes it clear that God prospers the work of the hands of those who trust Him.

From Genesis, when God placed Adam in the garden to tend it, we see that man is called to work and be productive. Work is not a curse, but fruitless labour is. Without God’s blessing, the work of our hands becomes toil, but with His blessing, it yields increase and brings satisfaction.

This message reveals the God who prospers the work of our hands. He is interested in our businesses, careers, ministries, and skills. When we align with His covenant, He takes what we do and breathes on it, making it fruitful and prosperous.

1. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF PROSPERITY
Before prosperity can manifest, we must understand that God alone is the true source of success and blessing.

a) God blesses and establishes (Deuteronomy 8:18)
It is God who gives power to get wealth, confirming His covenant with His people.

b) The blessing of the Lord makes rich (Proverbs 10:22)
True prosperity comes without sorrow because it is rooted in God’s blessing.

c) God delights in the prosperity of His people (Psalm 35:27)
It pleases God when His children prosper in all they do.

d) Prosperity flows from His presence (Genesis 39:2-3)
Joseph prospered because the Lord was with him in all his endeavours.

Biblical Example: Joseph in Potiphar’s house prospered in all he did because the Lord was with him (Genesis 39:2-3).

2. OBEDIENCE OPENS THE DOOR TO PROSPERITY
God’s prosperity is tied to obedience, faithfulness, and walking in His covenant.

a) Obedience brings blessing (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)
If we fully obey God, His blessings overtake every aspect of our lives.

b) Meditating on the Word (Joshua 1:8)
Success and prosperity come when we meditate and act on God’s Word daily.

c) Diligence is required (Proverbs 22:29)
A diligent worker stands before kings, not obscure men; prosperity follows diligence.

d) Sin hinders prosperity (Jeremiah 5:25)
Disobedience and sin can shut the heavens and hinder blessings from flowing.

Biblical Example: Isaac prospered in Gerar because he obeyed God’s command not to leave, and God blessed him abundantly (Genesis 26:1-14).

3. GOD PROSPERS THROUGH DIVINE FAVOUR
Prosperity is not just about effort; God releases favour that accelerates success beyond human ability.

a) God surrounds His children with favour (Psalm 5:12)
His favour is a shield that opens doors and grants increase.

b) Favour makes the difference (Exodus 3:21)
Israel did not leave Egypt empty; God gave them favour before the Egyptians.

c) Favour brings divine connections (Esther 2:17)
Favour lifted Esther from obscurity to royalty.

d) Favour establishes prosperity (Nehemiah 2:8)
Nehemiah received resources and support because the good hand of God was upon him.

Biblical Example: Ruth found favour with Boaz, and her life turned from labouring in the fields to becoming the great-grandmother of King David (Ruth 2:10-12).

4. GOD PROSPERS TO MAKE US A BLESSING
Prosperity is never just for self-gratification but for advancing God’s kingdom and blessing others.

a) Prosperity is a covenant tool (Genesis 12:2)
God blesses His children so they can be a blessing to nations.

b) Prosperity establishes His kingdom (Deuteronomy 8:18)
God prospers us to finance His work on earth.

c) Prosperity attracts souls (Zechariah 8:23)
When people see God’s blessing, they are drawn to Him.

d) Prosperity glorifies God (Matthew 5:16)
Our prosperity should shine as a testimony of God’s goodness.

Biblical Example: Solomon was blessed with wisdom and prosperity, and kings from nations came to hear him and honour God (1 Kings 10:23-24).

CONCLUSION:
God prospers the work of our hands, not just for our personal comfort but for His glory and the blessing of others. When we walk in obedience, diligence, and favour, the Lord ensures that the work of our hands bears lasting fruit.

Prosperity is a covenant reality for every believer. As you commit your work to God, He will breathe on it, establish you, and cause you to be a channel of blessing to others.
