THE GOD WHO UNLOCKS DIVINE FAVOUR

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Psalm 102:13 — “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”

Supporting Texts: Proverbs 3:3-4, Esther 2:15-17, Genesis 39:21, Luke 2:52, Exodus 3:21

DESCRIPTION: Divine favour is God’s supernatural hand that distinguishes, promotes, and blesses beyond human effort.

INTRODUCTION:
Favour is not something that can be manufactured by man; it is an expression of God’s mercy and kindness towards His children. Many people labour and struggle endlessly, yet one moment of divine favour can accomplish what years of effort cannot achieve. Favour is the divine current that moves a person forward even when circumstances are against them.

Throughout Scripture, men and women who encountered the favour of God experienced supernatural lifting. Joseph found favour in prison and was elevated to the palace. Esther, an orphan, became queen by the favour of God. Mary was chosen to birth the Saviour because she found favour with God. The favour of God is a destiny-changer.

In a world filled with competition and resistance, favour becomes the distinguishing factor for the children of God. When God arises to favour a person, He sets them apart for promotion, blessing, and greatness. That is why the psalmist declared, “The time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” Beloved, the God who unlocks divine favour is arising for you today.

1. DIVINE FAVOUR IS A SUPERNATURAL GIFT
Favour is not earned by qualifications but is granted by God’s mercy. It is a supernatural gift that positions people for blessings they do not deserve.

a) Favour is God’s divine kindness (Psalm 5:12): The Lord surrounds the righteous with favour as a shield. It becomes their defence and advantage in life.

b) Favour brings open doors (Revelation 3:8): God’s favour opens doors that no man can shut, granting access to opportunities.

c) Favour cannot be purchased (Romans 9:16): It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God who shows mercy.

d) Favour distinguishes you (Exodus 11:3): God gave Israel favour in Egypt, and they were highly regarded by their oppressors.

Biblical Example: Joseph (Genesis 39:21) — The Lord was with Joseph, and gave him favour in the sight of the prison keeper, eventually leading to his elevation.

2. DIVINE FAVOUR BREAKS PROTOCOLS
When God releases His favour, natural rules and limitations are suspended for your sake.

a) Favour makes the impossible possible (Luke 1:30-31): Mary, a virgin, conceived because she found favour with God.

b) Favour changes decrees (Esther 5:2): Esther obtained favour before the king, overturning Haman’s evil plot.

c) Favour gives divine speed (1 Kings 18:46): The hand of the Lord came upon Elijah and he outran Ahab’s chariot.

d) Favour silences opposition (Psalm 41:11): By favour, the enemy cannot triumph over you.

Biblical Example: Esther — Though unqualified by birth, she was crowned queen through divine favour (Esther 2:15-17).

3. DIVINE FAVOUR LIFTS A PERSON TO GREATNESS
Favour is the key to supernatural promotion and elevation in life.

a) Favour promotes beyond human effort (Proverbs 3:4): You will find favour in the sight of God and man, bringing advancement.

b) Favour brings divine recognition (Daniel 1:9): Daniel found favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs, positioning him for greatness.

c) Favour connects you to destiny helpers (Ruth 2:10): Ruth found favour with Boaz, which changed her story completely.

d) Favour makes you remembered (Genesis 41:14): Joseph was remembered and brought out of prison to the palace.

Biblical Example: David — Though the least in his family, he found favour before God and was anointed king (1 Samuel 16:11-13).

4. DIVINE FAVOUR MUST BE ACTIVATED
God desires to release favour, but believers must position themselves to receive it.

a) Righteous living attracts favour (Proverbs 14:9): The upright enjoy the goodwill of God.

b) Humility unlocks favour (James 4:6): God resists the proud but gives grace and favour to the humble.

c) Prayer brings favour (Psalm 119:58): “I intreated thy favour with my whole heart.”

d) Praise unlocks favour (Psalm 67:5-6): When we praise God, He releases His blessings and favour upon us.

Biblical Example: Nehemiah — He prayed and sought God’s favour before approaching the king, and God granted him favour (Nehemiah 2:4-6).

CONCLUSION:
Divine favour is the hand of God that opens doors, changes stories, and positions people for greatness. When God arises to favour a man, limitations are broken and his destiny is supernaturally advanced.

Therefore, cultivate a lifestyle that attracts God’s favour—walk in righteousness, humility, prayer, and praise. Today, the God who unlocks divine favour will arise for you, and your life will radiate with blessings beyond measure.
