LAST MINUTE MIRACLE

Title: LAST MINUTE MIRACLE

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: John 2:1-11
“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.’ Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, ‘Fill the waterpots with water.’ And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, ‘Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.’ And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, ‘Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!’ This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”

Supporting Texts: Exodus 14:21-22, Matthew 20:1-16, Mark 5:35-42

INTRODUCTION:
The last minute miracle is one of the most powerful displays of God’s glory. It is a moment when all human effort has been exhausted, and there seems to be no solution. It is at this point that God steps in to perform a miracle that is nothing short of extraordinary. Just like in the wedding at Cana, where the wine ran out at the last moment, God stepped in with a last minute solution that not only saved the situation but exceeded expectations. This sermon will explore the concept of last minute miracles, emphasizing how God works in our lives when time is running out.

1. GOD SPECIALIZES IN LAST MINUTE MIRACLES

a) No Situation Is Beyond God's Power:
God has the ability to turn situations around when it seems like all hope is gone (Luke 1:37).

b) God's Timing is Perfect:
He knows exactly when to step in to change the course of events (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

c) Overcoming Human Limitations:
Human limitations are not a hindrance to God's ability to perform miracles at the last minute (Jeremiah 32:17).

d) Faith Unlocks the Miracle:
Even at the last minute, faith in God's power and willingness to intervene is key (Mark 9:23).

e) Biblical Example: In John 2, when the wedding ran out of wine, Jesus stepped in at the last moment and performed His first miracle, turning water into wine, showing that God works powerfully when all seems lost.

2. THE PURPOSE OF LAST MINUTE MIRACLES

a) To Manifest God's Glory:
The last minute miracle is a platform for God to show His glory to the world (John 2:11).

b) To Increase Our Faith:
When God steps in at the last moment, it strengthens our faith and trust in His ability to intervene (Matthew 14:31).

c) To Show His Sovereignty:
The last minute miracle affirms that God is in control of every situation (Psalm 115:3).

d) To Exceed Our Expectations:
God's last minute intervention often exceeds what we expect or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

e) Biblical Example: In Exodus 14, when the Israelites were trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea, God parted the waters at the last moment, not only saving them but also demonstrating His supremacy over all forces.

3. HOW TO RECEIVE A LAST MINUTE MIRACLE

a) Stay Persistent in Faith:
Don’t give up, even when it seems like time is running out; God can still intervene (Luke 18:1-8).

b) Obey God’s Instructions:
The key to receiving a last minute miracle is obedience to God's instructions, no matter how unusual they may seem (John 2:5).

c) Keep Praying:
Last minute miracles often follow persistent prayer, so continue to pray and trust in God's timing (Matthew 7:7).

d) Expect the Unexpected:
Expect God to show up at the last moment and do what only He can do (Romans 4:18-21).

e) Biblical Example: In Mark 5, Jairus’ daughter was declared dead, but Jesus arrived just in time to heal her, showing that it is never too late for God to intervene.

4. THE IMPACT OF LAST MINUTE MIRACLES

a) It Restores Hope:
A last minute miracle brings hope to situations that seem hopeless (Romans 5:5).

b) It Brings Joy and Celebration:
When God works a miracle at the last moment, it brings joy and celebration to those who witness it (Psalm 126:1-3).

c) It Strengthens Our Testimony:
Last minute miracles become powerful testimonies of God's faithfulness and power (Revelation 12:11).

d) It Redefines Our Understanding of God’s Power:
The last minute miracle shows us that God's power is greater than any circumstance or time limit (Luke 1:37).

e) Biblical Example: In Matthew 20, when the laborers who worked only the last hour were paid the same as those who worked all day, it showed the generosity and timing of God’s blessings, which can come at the last moment.

5. EXPECTING THE LAST MINUTE MIRACLE

a) Don't Limit God’s Power:
Never limit God’s ability to perform miracles, no matter how late it may seem (Isaiah 59:1).

b) Trust in His Unfailing Love:
God's love for us ensures that He will never abandon us, even in the zero hour (Psalm 36:7).

c) Stay in the Position of Prayer:
Prayer is the key to seeing God move at the last moment, so stay in the place of consistent prayer (Philippians 4:6-7).

d) Watch for God’s Unusual Ways:
God often works in unexpected ways, so be open to His leading (Isaiah 55:8-9).

e) Biblical Example: In Luke 1, when the angel told Zechariah and Elizabeth that they would have a child in their old age, it was a last minute miracle that showed God’s faithfulness, despite their past barrenness.

CONCLUSION:
The God of the last minute miracle is the same God who parted the Red Sea, turned water into wine, and healed the sick. He specializes in showing up just when all hope seems lost and turning situations around. Never lose hope, because God can step into your situation at the last moment and perform a miracle that will bring glory to His name and exceed all expectations.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, I thank You for being the God of the last minute who steps in when all hope is gone.

2. Lord, I believe that You will work miracles in my life at the appointed time.

3. Father, intervene in my situation right now, and show me Your glory.

4. Lord, grant me the faith to believe in Your timing, even when things seem hopeless.

5. Father, I pray for a last minute miracle in my finances, health, and relationships.

6. Lord, let Your intervention at the last moment bring joy and celebration in my life.

7. Father, I declare that my miracle is coming forth at the appointed time.

8. Lord, help me to stay persistent in prayer, knowing that You answer in Your time.

9. Father, I receive Your supernatural intervention in my situation right now.

10. Lord, I thank You for the testimony of the last minute miracle I am about to share.

DIVINE INTERVENTION IN THE IMPOSSIBLE

Title: DIVINE INTERVENTION IN THE IMPOSSIBLE

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Luke 1:37
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Supporting Texts: Jeremiah 32:17, Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27, Romans 4:17, Daniel 3:17

INTRODUCTION:
Divine intervention is God stepping into human situations to do what is beyond natural ability. It is when God supersedes the laws of nature, overturns impossibilities, and accomplishes what men deem unachievable. In life, we face challenges that seem insurmountable, but God, in His infinite power, intervenes in ways that turn the impossible into the possible. This message highlights how God intervenes in the impossible and how we can trust Him to do the same in our lives.

1. UNDERSTANDING DIVINE INTERVENTION

a) Divine Intervention Defies Natural Laws:
God’s intervention is not bound by the limitations of time, space, or natural laws. He can alter the course of nature, change hearts, and open doors that seem shut (Jeremiah 32:17).

b) It Demonstrates God’s Sovereignty:
When God intervenes in the impossible, it showcases His sovereignty over all things, demonstrating that He is in control of everything, even when it seems otherwise (Matthew 19:26).

c) It Brings Glory to God:
Divine intervention in impossible situations always leads to the glorification of God. It is through these miracles that people acknowledge God’s power (Mark 10:27).

d) It Transforms Desperation into Hope:
In seemingly hopeless situations, God’s intervention brings new life, hope, and possibility. What was once a source of despair becomes an opportunity for God to display His glory (Romans 4:17).

e) Biblical Example:
In the story of Abraham and Sarah, God intervened in their impossibility of having a child when they were well beyond childbearing age, fulfilling His promise (Genesis 18:14).

2. THE NATURE OF IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS

a) Impossible Situations Are Often Beyond Human Control:
Many times, we face situations that are beyond our ability to resolve—health crises, financial struggles, family breakdowns, and more. These situations often seem impossible to change by human effort.

b) The Impossible is a Platform for Divine Glory:
God allows impossible situations to arise so that His power and glory can be revealed. The greater the impossibility, the greater the glory God receives (John 11:40).

c) Faith is the Key to Unlocking Divine Intervention:
For God to intervene, there must be faith—trust in His power and willingness to act in our behalf (Mark 9:23). Faith activates God’s intervention in the impossible.

d) The Impossible Becomes Possible Through Prayer:
God’s intervention often comes in response to prayer. When we bring the impossible to God in prayer, He responds with His supernatural power (Daniel 3:17-18).

e) Biblical Example:
Daniel’s prayer for divine intervention in the lion’s den was answered by God when He shut the mouths of the lions, defying all natural expectations (Daniel 6:22).

3. HOW GOD INTERVENES IN THE IMPOSSIBLE

a) Through Miracles:
God performs miracles that go beyond the laws of nature, such as parting the Red Sea or turning water into wine. These miracles are tangible signs of His divine power (Exodus 14:21-22).

b) Through Prophetic Word:
God speaks through His prophets to reveal His will and bring about His intervention. A prophetic declaration can change the course of events and bring solutions to the impossible (1 Kings 17:14).

c) Through Supernatural Strength and Courage:
When the impossible seems overwhelming, God gives His people strength, courage, and wisdom to persevere and overcome (Philippians 4:13).

d) Through Divine Timing:
Sometimes, God’s intervention occurs at just the right moment, when all hope seems lost, and the situation appears most hopeless. His timing is perfect, and His intervention is always on time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

e) Biblical Example:
The intervention of God in the case of the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace showed that He is able to save from the most impossible situations. They were not burned, and God was glorified (Daniel 3:16-30).

4. BUILDING FAITH TO RECEIVE DIVINE INTERVENTION

a) Trust in God’s Power:
Believing in God’s omnipotence is foundational to receiving His intervention. When we trust that He can do all things, we open ourselves to the possibility of the impossible becoming possible (Luke 1:37).

b) Confession of Faith:
Declare God’s ability to intervene in the impossible. Our words can activate the power of God when we speak faith-filled declarations (Romans 10:10).

c) Persistence in Prayer:
Even when the situation seems unchanged, continue to pray with faith, knowing that God hears and answers prayer (Luke 18:1-8).

d) Surrender to God’s Will:
Sometimes, God’s intervention may not come as we expect, but it will always be in line with His perfect will. Surrendering to God’s plan opens the door to divine intervention (Matthew 26:39).

e) Biblical Example:
The persistent prayer of Hannah for a child led to divine intervention. God opened her womb and she bore Samuel (1 Samuel 1:9-20).

5. THE RESULTS OF DIVINE INTERVENTION

a) Restoration of Hope and Joy:
Divine intervention brings renewed hope and joy, replacing despair and sorrow with victory (Psalm 30:11-12).

b) Fulfillment of God’s Promises:
Through divine intervention, God fulfills His promises, often in ways that exceed our expectations and timing (Ephesians 3:20).

c) Empowerment to Overcome:
God’s intervention empowers His people to overcome trials, emerging stronger and more victorious than before (Romans 8:37).

d) Greater Testimony and Glory to God:
When God intervenes in the impossible, it results in greater testimony and glory to God, leading others to faith in His power (John 9:3-5).

e) Biblical Example:
The miraculous healing of the blind man by Jesus resulted in not only the restoration of his sight but also in the glorification of God (John 9:6-9).

CONCLUSION:
Divine intervention in the impossible is a powerful reminder that nothing is beyond the reach of God’s power. When faced with impossible situations, we are called to trust in God’s ability to step into our circumstances and bring about change. As we trust, pray, and remain faithful, God will intervene in ways that defy human understanding, bringing glory to His name and fulfillment of His promises.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, I believe in Your power to intervene in every impossible situation in my life.

2. Lord, step into my circumstances and make the impossible possible for Your glory.

3. I declare that no situation in my life is beyond Your intervention, Father.

4. Father, increase my faith to believe for the impossible.

5. Lord, I surrender my will to You and trust that Your intervention is coming in due season.

8. Lord, let Your intervention be evident in my life, bringing testimonies and glory to Your name.

9. Father, I ask for Your grace to trust in You, even when the situation seems impossible.

10. Thank You, Lord, for stepping into the impossible and making all things work together for my good.

9. Every barren area in your life will experience divine intervention and be fruitful.

10. God’s intervention is making a way where there seems to be no way.

DIVINE INTERVENTION

Title: DIVINE INTERVENTION
By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Psalm 18:16
Supporting Texts: Exodus 14:13-16, Daniel 3:23-27, Acts 12:5-11

INTRODUCTION
Divine intervention occurs when God steps into a situation to alter the course of events in favor of His people. Throughout the Bible, we see God’s power intervening in impossible situations, turning things around, and bringing victory to His children. This is the kind of intervention that no human effort can bring about, but one that comes by God’s sovereign will and authority. When God intervenes, barriers are broken, miracles manifest, and the supernatural takes over. Today, we will explore what divine intervention means, biblical examples of God’s interventions, and how we can position ourselves to experience God's intervention in our lives.

1. WHAT IS DIVINE INTERVENTION?

a) Definition
Divine intervention is the extraordinary act of God that interrupts the natural course of events, overriding human efforts or limitations, and bringing supernatural solutions to impossible situations. It is God’s way of making a way where there seems to be no way, intervening in times of crisis or need.

b) God Steps In When All Hope Seems Lost.
In times when all human solutions have been exhausted, divine intervention occurs. God shows up when the situation seems beyond repair and turns the impossible into possible. Just as Psalm 18:16 declares, "He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters."

Biblical Example: The Parting of the Red Sea (Exodus 14:13-16)
The children of Israel found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army, but God intervened. He made a way through the sea, demonstrating that He is the God of divine intervention. When there seems to be no way forward, God can open supernatural paths.

2. GOD INTERVENES IN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS

a) God Has the Power to Change Circumstances.
No situation is too difficult for God. Whether it’s sickness, financial crisis, family challenges, or spiritual battles, God’s intervention can change the course of events. He has the power to reverse any condition and make a way where there seems to be none.

b) God is Never Late.
Although it may seem like help is delayed, God's timing is perfect. In John 11, Lazarus had been dead for four days, and it seemed too late for anything to be done. But Jesus arrived just in time to perform a resurrection. Divine intervention is never too late; when God steps in, He brings life to dead situations.

Biblical Example: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3:23-27)
Thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to bow to a false idol, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were in an impossible situation. However, God intervened and sent a fourth man to walk with them in the fire. They came out unharmed, showcasing God’s ability to protect His people and intervene even in life-threatening situations.

3. HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION

a) Prayer and Fervency
Prayer is a key that unlocks divine intervention. In Acts 12:5-11, Peter was imprisoned and was about to be executed, but the church prayed earnestly for him. God intervened by sending an angel to release him from prison. When we pray fervently, we invite God into our situation.

b) Faith in God’s Power
Faith is the currency of the supernatural. God responds to our faith when we believe that He can and will intervene in our situation. In Mark 5:34, Jesus told the woman with the issue of blood, "Your faith has healed you." Faith unlocks divine intervention.

Biblical Example: The Woman with the Issue of Blood (Mark 5:25-34)
This woman had suffered for 12 years without a solution. But her faith in Jesus brought divine intervention when she touched the hem of His garment, and she was instantly healed. Her faith activated God’s power in her life.

c) Obedience to God’s Instructions
When we obey God’s word and follow His instructions, we position ourselves for divine intervention. In Luke 5:4-7, after toiling all night and catching nothing, Peter obeyed Jesus’ instruction to cast the net one more time, and his obedience brought a miraculous catch of fish. God’s intervention often requires our obedience.

Biblical Example: The Miracle Catch of Fish (Luke 5:4-7)
Peter's obedience to Jesus’ command to cast his net again, despite his earlier failure, resulted in a miraculous catch. Divine intervention came through obedience.

4. SIGNS OF DIVINE INTERVENTION

a) Sudden Breakthroughs
Divine intervention often comes suddenly, when you least expect it. In Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns in prison, and suddenly, there was an earthquake that opened the prison doors and loosed their chains. God's intervention is often marked by sudden and dramatic breakthroughs.

b) Miracles and Supernatural Occurrences
When God intervenes, miracles happen. What was humanly impossible becomes a reality. Whether it’s healing, financial provision, or protection, miracles accompany divine intervention.

c) Transformation of Circumstances
When God steps in, there is a complete transformation of circumstances. What seemed like defeat turns into victory, and what seemed hopeless is filled with hope. Divine intervention leaves a lasting impact and testimony.

Biblical Example: Peter’s Prison Break (Acts 12:5-11)
While Peter was imprisoned, the church prayed, and God sent an angel to set him free. This sudden and miraculous release was a clear sign of divine intervention.

5. GOD IS STILL INTERVENING TODAY

a) God Is the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever
God’s intervention did not stop in biblical times. He is still intervening in the lives of His people today. Hebrews 13:8 assures us that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." If He intervened for others, He will intervene for you.

b) Expect Divine Intervention in Your Life
No matter what you are going through, expect God to intervene. He is not limited by time, space, or circumstances. When you call upon Him, He will answer and step into your situation.

Biblical Example:The Wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11)
At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out, and the situation looked embarrassing. But Jesus intervened and turned water into wine, saving the day. His intervention was timely and transformed what could have been a disaster into a celebration.

CONCLUSION
Divine intervention is God stepping into your situation to turn things around. It is not dependent on human ability, but solely on God’s power and mercy. Whether it is healing, provision, deliverance, or protection, divine intervention brings the supernatural into the natural, bringing solutions where there seemed to be none. As you pray, have faith, and obey God, expect Him to intervene in your situation, because He is a faithful God who delights in delivering His people.
