Title: I HAVE LEFT

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

INTRODUCTION:
This message, "I Have Left," speaks to the transformative power of God to deliver His people from places of bondage. Just as Peter was miraculously delivered from prison, we too are freed from things that have held us captive—be it sickness, hardship, barrenness, or any form of oppression. When God steps in, chains are broken, and we can boldly declare, "I have left."
You have left sickness, affliction, shame, reproach, hardship, labour without results, barrenness, evil family pattern, sorrows, pain, poverty, stubborn challenges, the enemies camp, disappointments,  backwardness, bad news, repeated evil patterns, stagnation, where they kept you, everything that is negative etc.
This sermon explores what it means to walk away from negativity, embracing the freedom and purpose God has given us.

1. LEAVING CAPTIVITY BEHIND

a) Breaking the Chains of Bondage
When God intervenes, every form of captivity, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, is broken (Acts 12:7).

b) Experiencing Divine Liberation
As Peter was freed, we are liberated from afflictions and hardships through Christ (Isaiah 61:1).

c) Walking Out of Shame and Reproach
God covers us with His grace, removing every mark of shame and disgrace (Psalm 34:5).

d) Freedom from Spiritual Strongholds
Every power that hinders growth and joy in our lives loses its hold as we follow Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Biblical Example: The Israelites' Exodus – The Israelites left Egypt, a land of bondage, to enter God's promises (Exodus 12:31-32).

2. LEAVING BEHIND AFFLICTION AND SICKNESS

a) Healing by His Power
Christ’s healing touch delivers us from every form of sickness and disease (Isaiah 53:5).

b) Victory Over Barren Places
Just as God opens barren wombs, He revives every unfruitful area of our lives (Genesis 21:1).

c) Stepping Out of Pain
God turns our pain into purpose and our sorrow into joy (Psalm 30:11).

d) Releasing the Burden of Depression
In His presence, we find healing and joy that lifts every spirit of heaviness (Psalm 34:4).

Biblical Example: Hannah – After years of barrenness, Hannah left her sorrow at the altar, and God blessed her with Samuel (1 Samuel 1:10-20).

3. LEAVING POVERTY AND LACK

a) Embracing God’s Provision
God supplies our needs according to His riches, allowing us to live abundantly (Philippians 4:19).

b) Breaking the Cycle of Hardship
By God’s grace, we leave financial struggles and walk into His blessings (Deuteronomy 28:12).

c) Moving Out of Stagnation
God calls us to a life of purpose and progress, leaving behind stagnation (Isaiah 43:18-19).

d) Walking in His Favor
As God blesses us, we experience divine favour in every area of our lives (Psalm 5:12).

Biblical Example: Jabez – Jabez prayed for God’s blessing and was delivered from poverty and pain (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).

4. LEAVING SORROW AND PAIN

a) Embracing God’s Comfort
God is our comforter in times of sorrow, replacing pain with His peace (Matthew 5:4).

b) Receiving the Oil of Gladness
The Holy Spirit replaces our mourning with joy and renews our strength (Isaiah 61:3).

c) Walking in Victory Over Past Hurts
We are empowered to leave behind past hurts and move forward in healing (Philippians 3:13-14).

d) Releasing the Weight of Grief
God lifts our sorrows, allowing us to experience true freedom and joy (Psalm 147:3).

Biblical Example: Mary Magdalene – Jesus delivered her from seven demons, and she became a devoted follower (Luke 8:2).

5. LEAVING BEHIND EVERYTHING NEGATIVE

a) Leaving Regret and Condemnation
Through Christ, there is no condemnation, and we leave behind guilt and shame (Romans 8:1).

b) Stepping Out of Fear
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

c) Rejecting Defeat and Failure
We embrace victory in Christ, overcoming every form of failure (1 John 5:4).

d) Moving from Darkness to Light
We are called out of darkness to walk in His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Biblical Example: The Prodigal Son – He left a life of shame and lack, returning to the father’s house where he found restoration (Luke 15:17-24).

CONCLUSION:
As believers, we have left behind the burdens, afflictions, and chains that once held us captive. Through Christ, we experience true freedom, joy, and purpose.
