INTRODUCTION
Life is full of challenges that can bring sorrow, pain, and despair. Many times, we find ourselves overwhelmed by situations that seem beyond our control—whether it be the loss of a loved one, financial hardship, sickness, or emotional pain. In such moments, tears become our language, and we feel helpless. However, in the story of the widow of Nain, Jesus demonstrated that no situation is beyond His power. He spoke just two words, "Weep not," and changed the course of her life forever.

The widow of Nain had lost her only son, and as a widow, this meant not just emotional grief but also social and financial distress. In those days, women depended on their husbands and sons for survival. With no husband and now no son, she was in a desperate situation. She was on her way to bury her last hope when Jesus met her at the gate of the city. In His compassion, He stopped the funeral procession, touched the bier, and commanded the young man to arise. What was meant to be a burial turned into a celebration of resurrection.

This powerful encounter reveals that Jesus is the giver of life and the restorer of joy. He understands our deepest sorrows, and He is always moved by compassion to intervene in our lives. No matter what you are going through today, Jesus is saying to you, "Weep not." He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just as He wiped away the widow’s tears, He can wipe away yours and turn your mourning into dancing.

1. JESUS SEES YOUR TEARS

a) Jesus is always aware of your struggles (Psalm 56:8)
God collects our tears in His bottle; He does not ignore our pain.

b) He sees what others cannot see (1 Samuel 1:10-11)
While others saw a funeral, Jesus saw an opportunity for restoration.

c) His compassion moves Him to act (Lamentations 3:22-23)
God's mercy is renewed every morning, and His compassion never fails.

d) Weeping is temporary, but joy is coming (Psalm 30:5)
Though sorrow may last for a night, joy comes in the morning.

e) Biblical Example: Hagar (Genesis 21:16-19)
She wept in the wilderness, but God saw her and provided water for her son.

2. JESUS INTERRUPTS YOUR PAIN WITH HIS POWER

a) Jesus stopped the funeral procession (Luke 7:14)
He stepped in at the right time to change the story.

b) No situation is too far gone for Jesus (Ezekiel 37:3-6)
Even dry bones can come back to life at His word.

c) He is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25)
Whatever seems dead in your life can live again through Him.

d) His power overrides every natural law (Jeremiah 32:27)
Nothing is too hard for God, and no situation is beyond His reach.

e) Biblical Example: The Shunammite Woman (2 Kings 4:32-35)
When her son died, she refused to accept defeat, and Elisha, by God's power, raised him back to life.

3. JESUS SPEAKS LIFE INTO YOUR DEAD SITUATION

a) His word carries authority over death (John 11:43)
When He speaks, the dead must respond.

b) One word from Jesus changes everything (Psalm 107:20)
He sent His word, and healing and restoration followed.

c) His voice silences hopelessness (Mark 5:39-42)
He told Jairus’ household not to weep because the girl was only sleeping, and He restored her.

d) No matter how long you’ve been in pain, He can restore you (Joel 2:25)
The years lost can be restored by His power.

e) Biblical Example: Lazarus (John 11:35-44)
Jesus called him out of the grave, proving that His word is life.

4. JESUS RESTORES JOY BEYOND EXPECTATION

a) The widow's sorrow turned into joy (Luke 7:15)
She received what she thought was gone forever.

b) God never restores halfway; He restores fully (Job 42:10)
Job received double for all his losses.

c) His joy is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10)
When Jesus steps in, sadness must flee.

d) What the enemy meant for evil, God turns for good (Genesis 50:20)
Every disappointment is an opportunity for God’s appointment.

e) Biblical Example: Naomi (Ruth 4:13-17)
She thought her life was over, but God gave her a new beginning through Obed.

CONCLUSION
The story of the widow of Nain is a reminder that no situation is beyond the reach of Jesus. Just when all hope seems lost, He steps in with His power and turns things around. His words, "Weep not," are not empty consolation but a divine declaration that changes destinies. If He could raise a dead son, He can raise every dead situation in your life—be it a dream, a relationship, a career, or health.

Today, Jesus is speaking to you. Wipe your tears, lift up your head, and trust in His power. The same Jesus who stopped a funeral and restored a family is ready to step into your situation. No matter what you have lost, with Jesus, you will laugh again.

WEEP NOT

Title: WEEP NOT

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Luke 7:13-15
Supporting Texts: Isaiah 61:1-3, Psalm 30:5, John 16:20

INTRODUCTION
Life has its fair share of moments that bring us to the point of tears. It could be the loss of a loved one, a failed business, shattered dreams, or overwhelming circumstances. But in today's message, I want to remind you of the words of Jesus: "Weep not." Just like the widow of Nain in Luke 7, you may be facing a situation that seems hopeless, but Jesus is saying to you today, *“Do not cry, for I am here.”* Jesus’ presence brings an end to sorrow and ushers in joy. No matter what you're going through, God sees your tears, and He is ready to intervene in your situation.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE WIDOW’S PAIN

a) The Reality of Her Loss (Luke 7:12)
The widow had already lost her husband, and now her only son had died. In those times, a woman’s security and future were often tied to her male relatives. With no husband and no son, she was left desolate, without hope. Life can sometimes feel like this, where everything seems to fall apart at once, and the future looks bleak.

b) Human Limitations
People were gathered to support her, but they could not reverse her situation. They could only weep with her. No one could bring back her son. Many times, we encounter situations that human efforts cannot fix. People may sympathize, but only God can bring true relief.

c) Our Own Times of Grief
Each of us has experienced times of grief, disappointment, or hopelessness. Like the widow, we often feel that everything is lost, but we must remember that God sees and cares.

2. JESUS INTERRUPTS THE FUNERAL PROCESSION

a) Jesus Had Compassion on Her (Luke 7:13)
When Jesus saw her, He had compassion. God is full of compassion toward us. He is not indifferent to our struggles or tears. Psalm 56:8 says that He collects our tears in a bottle. The widow did not ask for help, but Jesus’ compassion moved Him to act.

b) The Command to Stop Weeping
Jesus said to her, “Weep not.” This was not just an empty word of comfort. It was a command backed by divine power. Jesus was about to change the situation completely. When God tells us not to weep, it’s because He has a solution in place. Jesus doesn’t just comfort us; He transforms our circumstances.

c) Jesus Touches the Coffin (Luke 7:14)
In a bold move, Jesus touched the coffin. This was unheard of because touching the dead was considered unclean, but Jesus is not limited by societal norms. He reaches into our most hopeless situations and brings life where there is death. His divine touch makes all the difference.

3. THE POWER OF GOD TO RESTORE LIFE

a) The Young Man Arose (Luke 7:15)
With one command, “Young man, I say to you, arise,” the dead man came back to life. This is the power of God to restore what was lost. It doesn’t matter how dead a situation looks—God can bring it back to life. Whether it’s a lost opportunity, a broken relationship, or shattered dreams, Jesus can speak life into it and cause it to rise again.

b) Restoration of Joy and Hope
The widow’s joy was restored when her son sat up and began to speak. Her future, which seemed dead, was given new life. When God intervenes, He restores not just what was lost, but He brings joy and hope. Psalm 30:5 reminds us that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

c) A Testimony of God’s Power
The crowd that followed the widow witnessed a miracle. They went from mourning with her to rejoicing with her. When God intervenes in your life, your testimony will cause others to glorify God. Your weeping will turn into a testimony of God’s faithfulness and power.

4. WE SERVE A GOD WHO TURNS MOURNING INTO JOY

a) Jesus Is Still Saying “Weep Not”
Just as Jesus told the widow not to weep, He is saying the same to you today. You may be facing a situation that seems final, but remember, with God, nothing is impossible. Jesus can still touch your life and change your circumstances. Whatever is causing you to weep today, give it to Jesus and trust Him to bring life and restoration.

b) God’s Timing is Perfect
Jesus arrived at the right time to stop the funeral procession. In the same way, God’s timing in your life is perfect. Even if it seems like it’s too late, God can still turn things around. Trust in His timing, and don’t give up hope.

c) Your Sorrow Will Turn to Joy (John 16:20)
Jesus promised that although we may face sorrow, our sorrow will turn to joy. No matter how long the night of weeping may seem, the morning of joy will come. God is faithful to fulfill His promises, and He will bring you through every difficult season with victory.

CONCLUSION
In life, we all face moments of grief, loss, and hopelessness that bring us to tears. But the message of Jesus to the widow in Luke 7 is the same for us today: “Weep not.” Jesus sees our pain, He is filled with compassion for us, and He has the power to change our situation. Just as He touched the coffin and brought the young man back to life, He can touch every dead area of your life and restore it. Your weeping will turn to joy, your mourning will turn to dancing, and your testimony will be a reflection of God’s power and grace. Trust in Him, and weep not, for your miracle is on the way.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, I thank You for Your compassion towards me.

2. Father, touch every dead situation in my life and bring it back to life.

3. Lord, let every spirit of sorrow be replaced with joy in my life.

4. Father, stop every procession of death and destruction in my life in Jesus’ name.

5. I declare that my season of weeping is over in Jesus’ name.

6. Lord, let Your divine touch bring healing and restoration in every area of my life.

7. Father, restore my lost joy, hope, and future.

8. Lord, turn my mourning into dancing and my weeping into joy.

9. Father, let my life be a testimony of Your power and goodness.

10. Lord, I declare that I will not weep over any situation again, for You are in control.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
1. I declare that every dead area of your life is coming back to life in Jesus’ name.

2. You will not weep over that situation any longer—God is turning it around for good.

3. I prophesy that your mourning will be turned into dancing.

4. The procession of sorrow in your life is stopped today in Jesus’ name.

5. I declare that joy will be your portion, and sorrow will flee from you.

6. Every area of hopelessness in your life is receiving new life in Jesus’ name.

7. God is turning your night of weeping into a morning of joy and celebration.

8. Your testimony will be great, and many will rejoice with you.

9. I declare that you will not cry over your future, for God has secured it.

10. Every tear you have shed will be replaced with laughter and rejoicing in Jesus' name.

May God’s divine touch bring life, joy, and restoration to every area of your life.

ITS YOUR TURN TO LAUGH

IT’S YOUR TURN TO LAUGH
Text: John 20: 11-16

God ask me to tell someone that your season of laughter has begun. After today, those who laughed at you will laugh with you.
You might have been weeping before, but now it is your turn to laugh.
It doesn't matter how things may look now, when God says yes, no man can say no. It is now your turn. Life is turn by turn. Today is marking a special turn around in someone's life.

According to our major text, Mary was weeping and hopeless, but Jesus came into the scene saying: I’m the one you are looking for, why are you weeping.

This year, in the name of Jesus you will see what you are looking for!
Are you looking for a baby? You will dance.
Are you looking for job? You will come here with your appointment letter.
Are you looking for husband? You will do thanksgiving here.
Are you looking for a wife, not just a lady? Not all ladies are wife material, this year you will find a wife.
Are you looking for a way?, this year God will make a way and you will see it.
Are you looking for admission into higher institution, you will get your admission letter.
Are you looking for business opportunity, you will get that opportunity.
Are you looking for breakthrough, you will get a breakthrough.
It’s not strange to cry / weep , but it is strange when your tears are not wiped.

Why are you weeping?
Today God will address some issues in your life that made you weep in the past. It is now your own turn to laugh. It is your turn for a divine turnaround.

*  Haggai wept in Gen. 21: 16 because her child was dying of thirst in the wilderness. Forsaken and forgotten child was dying as a result of her personal mistakes.
Your child may be your business, health, work, marriage, career, education,  etc.
In verses 17 – 19 The Lord (not the Pastor / Uncle) opened her eyes.
Now it’s your turn to SEE your way.
My God will open your eyes and you will see new things and your tears will be wiped off

* In  Gen 27:38 Esau cried because he lost his birthright through carelessness and covetousness. But thank God:though no one will pray to be like Esau, he still became wealthy and powerful in his own right (Chapter 36)

* In 1Sam 1:9-10 Hannah wept because she was barren.

* Why are you weeping? Is your life barren? Were you barren in the year past? I’m here as the Priest of the Most High God, go home, your prayers are answered. God who answered Hannah is around.

* In 2 Sam 15:30 King David broke the law of royalty and wept because his throne is being stolen.
Is somebody about to displace you, Push you out of your position, push you out of your husband’s place, God wiped away the tears of David. The supernatural collided with natural; bush began to fight a living man! And at the end he was victorious.

2 Sam.18:9-10. That which is carrying your enemy around and giving him fake confidence will disappoint him!

 *  2Kings 8: 10 -12 The servant of God wept because of a bad revelation of coming suffering. What bad dream are you having. God can overthrow it.

* In 2Kings 20:1-3  Hezekiah wept sore because he was about to die.  Is premature death looming?. Do you have a disease that kills? God who added 15years to Hezekiah; he will add 51years to your own.

* According to Ps. 137:1.  Israel wept because they were in bondage. They remembered the days of old when thing were working well.  Why are you weeping?  Did you remember the good old days, when things were working, when you did eat and have surplus? God will turn back your captivity. I see a divine turnaround.

* Neh. 5:1-5. The people wept because of debt.  In verse 12  of the same chapter their debt was cancelled!

* In Rev.5:3-4 John wept because the book of fulfillment of prophecy could not be opened.
Are you weeping because your book of success appears closed?
Are you weeping because you have no one to assist you? Now, weep not. Jesus has prevailed. It’s not the time to weep; it’s your turn to laugh!
Rev. 21:1-4 Last year is your first heaven on earth. This  is your New Jerusalem – no weeping / crying / no more pain.
Former thing are gone.
It’s time to laugh! And all that hear will laugh with you.

ILL.  A lady (39years ) had this story.  She attended a birthday party at 15 and was distributing cake. A man took 1,2,3. and when he was challenged, he became angry and  said you will marry me or no one will.  By39,  she was still single! After a while God turned the table and she laughed!

In the name of Jesus you will laugh.
