Description: God elevates His people, honours them above opposition, and strengthens them to prevail.
INTRODUCTION:
Exaltation is a divine act that raises the weak and humbles the proud. In life, many struggle with low status, unrecognised efforts, and repeated setbacks. Yet, God promises to lift His children, granting favour, honour, and strength to triumph over challenges.
The horn in Scripture represents strength, authority, and victory. When God causes your horn to be exalted, He is not only lifting you above challenges but also establishing you as a victorious force in your sphere. Exaltation from God comes with favour, anointing, and divine influence.
This message will reveal how God exalts His people, the importance of humility and obedience, and how to walk in the elevation that brings honour and fruitfulness.
1. GOD EXALTS THE HUMBLE AND FAITHFUL
Exaltation comes to those who honour God through faith and obedience.
a) Humility precedes honour – James 4:10
God lifts those who humble themselves before Him, ensuring that exaltation is deserved and lasting.
b) Faithfulness attracts promotion – Luke 16:10
Small acts of faithfulness open the door for God to raise you above your peers.
c) Obedience brings favour – 1 Samuel 2:30
The Lord honours those who follow His instructions and maintain integrity.
d) God’s timing perfects elevation – Psalm 75:6–7
Exaltation is not by human might or timing but according to God’s perfect plan.
Biblical Example: Joseph, faithful in Potiphar’s house and in prison, was exalted to Pharaoh’s second-in-command (Genesis 41:41–44).
2. GOD’S ANOINTING ACCOMPANIES EXALTATION
Divine elevation is always coupled with empowerment for victory and influence.
a) Anointing strengthens the exalted – Psalm 92:10
Fresh oil represents God’s empowering presence in life.
b) Favour accompanies promotion – Proverbs 3:4
God positions people where their influence is acknowledged and rewarded.
c) Exaltation brings authority – Daniel 2:21
God sets leaders in positions of authority according to His divine plan.
d) The anointing sustains victory – Isaiah 61:3
God’s empowerment ensures that exaltation is not temporary but fruitful and enduring.
Biblical Example: David was anointed king while still a shepherd boy, preparing him for future victory (1 Samuel 16:13).
3. GOD PROMOTES YOU ABOVE YOUR ADVERSARIES
Elevation also means being positioned above those who oppose or oppose your progress.
a) God humbles the proud – Luke 1:52
The Lord brings down those who exalt themselves while lifting the meek.
b) He grants strategic advantage – Deuteronomy 28:7
God fights battles on behalf of those He exalts, ensuring victory over opposition.
c) Honour silences detractors – Psalm 91:7
Divine exaltation demonstrates God’s protection and validation of His people.
d) Promotion glorifies God – 1 Corinthians 10:31
Every elevation should point to God’s glory, not personal pride.
Biblical Example: Mordecai, through God’s plan, was promoted to prominence, saving a nation and honouring God (Esther 10:3).
4. EXALTATION BRINGS INCREASE AND FRUITFULNESS
God’s elevation is not just about status but about multiplying blessings in every area of life.
a) God increases those He exalts – Psalm 75:10
Elevation comes with fruitfulness, abundance, and influence.
b) Exaltation opens doors of opportunity – Revelation 3:8
God positions people where resources and divine appointments are accessible.
c) Strength accompanies promotion – 2 Samuel 22:33
God empowers the exalted to accomplish their God-given assignments.
d) Exaltation leads to legacy – Proverbs 13:22
Those lifted by God leave a lasting impact for generations.
Biblical Example: Solomon, exalted as king, became renowned for wisdom, wealth, and influence (1 Kings 3:12-13).

God’s exaltation is a divine act that raises the faithful, honours the obedient, and strengthens them for victory. He lifts those who are humble, empowers them with His anointing, and positions them above opposition to fulfil their purpose.
