Description: God’s promises may take time, but they are certain and unfailing; every word spoken by Him shall surely come to pass.

INTRODUCTION
Life is filled with seasons of waiting and anticipation. Sometimes, when God gives a promise, it may seem delayed, and circumstances may suggest otherwise. But the truth of Scripture is clear: what God has spoken will not fail. His Word is unfailing, immutable, and unstoppable.

Many people lose hope because of the apparent delay in the manifestation of God’s promises. Yet delay is not denial. God’s appointed time always comes, and when it does, nothing can hinder the fulfillment of His Word. Faith is the bridge that carries us from the promise to the performance.

The assurance that “it shall come to pass” is rooted not in man’s ability, but in God’s faithfulness. Our God cannot lie, He cannot fail, and He does not change. Whatever He has spoken over your life, your family, your ministry, or your destiny, no matter how impossible it seems, it shall surely come to pass.

1. GOD’S WORD CANNOT FAIL
Every word of God carries divine authority and cannot return empty.

a) God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19)
His promises are sure, unlike the unstable words of men.

b) His Word accomplishes its purpose (Isaiah 55:10-11)
Just as rain waters the earth, His Word produces results.

c) Every promise in Christ is yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20)
In Christ, all divine promises find their fulfillment.

d) His Word is settled forever (Psalm 119:89)
Nothing on earth or in heaven can cancel it.

Biblical Example: God promised Abraham a son even when his body was as good as dead. Against all odds, Isaac was born at the appointed time (Genesis 21:1-2).

2. THE APPOINTED TIME OF GOD
God works by divine timing, not by human calendars.

a) There is an appointed time for every promise (Habakkuk 2:3)
Delay does not mean denial; God has set times.

b) God makes everything beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
His timing brings beauty and perfection.

c) The waiting season is a testing season (James 1:3-4)
It builds patience, faith, and maturity.

d) No one can hasten or delay God’s appointed hour (Ezekiel 12:25)
His Word shall be fulfilled at the exact time.

Biblical Example: Joseph’s dreams tarried for years, but at the appointed time, God lifted him from prison to the palace (Genesis 41:41-43).

3. THE ROLE OF FAITH AND OBEDIENCE
Faith connects us to the fulfillment of God’s promises.

a) Blessed is she that believed (Luke 1:45)
Mary received because she believed the Word spoken to her.

b) Faith calls things that are not as though they are (Romans 4:17)
It sees beyond the natural into the supernatural.

c) Obedience secures manifestation (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)
God fulfills His promises through obedient vessels.

d) Doubt delays fulfillment (James 1:6-7)
A wavering heart cannot receive from the Lord.

Biblical Example: Noah built the ark by faith and obedience, and in due time, God’s Word of judgment and deliverance came to pass (Genesis 7:1-7).

4. HOLDING ON UNTIL IT COMES TO PASS
We must remain steadfast until the promise manifests.

a) Do not cast away your confidence (Hebrews 10:35-36)
Patience and endurance bring the promise.

b) Keep confessing His promises (Romans 10:8-10)
The Word in your mouth strengthens your faith.

c) War with the prophecies spoken (1 Timothy 1:18)
Stand in prayer until manifestation comes.

d) Give thanks in anticipation (Philippians 4:6)
Thanksgiving accelerates fulfillment.

Biblical Example: Simeon held on to God’s promise that he would not see death until he saw the Messiah, and it came to pass as he saw baby Jesus in the temple (Luke 2:25-30).

CONCLUSION
The promises of God are yes and amen; they will never fail. Whatever situation you are facing, do not give up—what God has said will surely come to pass. Delay is not the end, impossibility is not final, and opposition cannot stop God’s counsel.

Hold on in faith, continue in obedience, and wait on the Lord with expectation. Surely, at the appointed time, it shall come to pass in your life, family, ministry, and destiny.
