WAR AGAINST THE HAMAN OF MY DESTINY

WAR AGAINST THE HAMAN OF MY DESTINY

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Esther 7:9-10
"And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified."

Supporting Texts: Psalm 37:12-15, Proverbs 26:27, Isaiah 54:17, Daniel 6:24, 2 Thessalonians 1:6

INTRODUCTION
Haman represents the enemy that plots secretly to destroy the destiny of God's people. In the book of Esther, Haman was a high-ranking official who hated Mordecai because he refused to bow to him. Out of envy and wickedness, he plotted to destroy Mordecai and all the Jews. However, his evil plans were turned against him, and he was executed on the same gallows he built for Mordecai. In this sermon, we shall engage in spiritual warfare against every "Haman" that is plotting to destroy our lives, families, and destinies.

1. WHO IS THE HAMAN OF YOUR DESTINY?
Haman represents the forces that work against your progress and breakthrough.

a) Haman of Envy and Hatred
Haman hated Mordecai because he refused to bow to him (Esther 3:5).

b) Haman of Evil Conspiracies
He secretly planned the destruction of the Jews (Esther 3:8-9).

c) Haman of Demonic Oppression
He influenced the king to sign a decree against the Jews (Esther 3:10-12).

d) Haman of Manipulation and Deception
He presented false accusations to achieve his wicked goals (Esther 3:8).

e) Biblical Example:
The enemies of Daniel conspired to have him thrown into the lion’s den, but they perished instead (Daniel 6:24).

2. CHARACTERISTICS OF A HAMANIC ATTACK
When Haman is at work, certain signs become evident in your life.

a) Unexplainable Hatred and Opposition
Haman hated Mordecai without cause (Esther 3:5-6).

b) Evil Decrees and Manipulations
He influenced the king to make laws against the Jews (Esther 3:10-12).

c) Planned Downfall and Destruction
Haman built gallows to kill Mordecai (Esther 5:14).

d) Sudden Attacks Before Breakthroughs
Just when the Jews were about to rise, Haman plotted against them (Esther 3:13).

e) Biblical Example:
Pharaoh tried to destroy Israel before their deliverance, but he perished in the Red Sea (Exodus 14:28).

3. STRATEGIES TO OVERCOME YOUR HAMAN
Victory over Haman requires spiritual warfare, wisdom, and divine intervention.

a) Engage in Fasting and Prayer
Esther and the Jews fasted, and God turned the situation around (Esther 4:16).

b) Trust in God's Divine Reversal
The evil decree against the Jews was overturned (Esther 8:5-8).

c) Expose and Silence the Enemy's Plans
Esther revealed Haman’s wickedness to the king (Esther 7:6).

d) Remain Righteous and Faithful
Mordecai refused to compromise, and God fought for him (Esther 3:2).

e) Biblical Example:
The three Hebrew boys refused to bow, and God delivered them from the fiery furnace (Daniel 3:26-28).

4. SPIRITUAL WEAPONS TO DESTROY YOUR HAMAN
The battle against Hamanic forces is fought with spiritual weapons.

a) The Power of Persistent Prayer
The enemy is defeated when we pray fervently (James 5:16).

b) The Blood of Jesus
The blood speaks victory and nullifies evil decrees (Revelation 12:11).

c) The Fire of the Holy Ghost
Every wicked power is consumed by the fire of God (Hebrews 12:29).

d) The Power of Prophetic Declarations
Declaring God’s word enforces divine judgment (Job 22:28).

e) Biblical Example:
Elijah called down fire to destroy his enemies (2 Kings 1:10).

5. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR HAMAN IS DESTROYED?
When Haman is brought down, divine breakthroughs and promotions follow.

a) Sudden Divine Upliftment
Mordecai was promoted after Haman’s death (Esther 8:2).

b) Complete Reversal of Evil Decrees
The Jews' enemies were destroyed instead (Esther 9:1).

c) Divine Victory Over the Wicked
Those who plotted against the Jews perished (Esther 9:25).

d) Overflowing Joy and Celebration
The Jews rejoiced after their victory (Esther 9:22).

e) Biblical Example:
Joseph’s brothers meant evil against him, but God turned it for good (Genesis 50:20).
