Description: God desires to reveal His glory to those who seek Him, believe His Word, and walk in obedience, transforming their lives into testimonies of His power and majesty.
INTRODUCTION
The glory of God is the manifestation of His presence, power, holiness, goodness, and majesty. Throughout the Bible, whenever God revealed His glory, lives were transformed, enemies were defeated, miracles occurred, and His people were strengthened in faith. The glory of God is not merely something to admire but a divine reality that changes the lives of those who encounter it.
Moses passionately desired more than God's blessings; he longed to experience God's glory. His prayer, "I beseech thee, show me thy glory," reflected a deep hunger for intimacy with God. Likewise, Jesus assured Martha that if she believed, she would see the glory of God manifested in the resurrection of Lazarus. These passages remind us that God's glory is revealed to those who seek Him with faith and expectation.
Every believer should desire to experience God's glory in every area of life. Whether in our families, ministries, careers, businesses, health, or spiritual growth, God's glory brings transformation beyond human ability. As we seek His face and remain faithful to Him, He will reveal His glory in remarkable and undeniable ways.
1. GOD'S GLORY IS REVEALED TO THOSE WHO HUNGER FOR HIM
A sincere desire for God's presence attracts the manifestation of His glory.
a. Develop a Passion for God's Presence (Exodus 33:18)
Moses desired God's glory above every earthly blessing.
b. Seek God Wholeheartedly (Jeremiah 29:13)
God reveals Himself to those who diligently seek Him.
c. Thirst for God's Presence (Psalm 63:1-2)
A hungry soul continually longs for deeper fellowship with God.
d. Remain in Close Fellowship with God (James 4:8)
Drawing near to God positions believers to experience His glory.
Biblical Example: Moses sought God's presence on Mount Sinai, where he experienced the manifestation of God's glory and received fresh revelation (Exodus 33:18-23; 34:5-8).
2. FAITH POSITIONS BELIEVERS TO SEE GOD'S GLORY
Faith opens the door to divine manifestations.
a. Believe God's Word (John 11:40)
Faith enables believers to witness God's supernatural power.
b. Trust God in Difficult Situations (Hebrews 11:6)
Faith pleases God and brings divine intervention.
c. Refuse to Doubt (Mark 11:22-24)
Unwavering faith produces miraculous results.
d. Wait Patiently on God (Isaiah 40:31)
Those who trust in the Lord receive renewed strength.
Biblical Example: Martha witnessed the glory of God when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead because she chose to believe His promise (John 11:38-44).
3. THE GLORY OF GOD BRINGS TRANSFORMATION
An encounter with God's glory changes lives forever.
a. Glory Brings Spiritual Transformation (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Believers are changed into Christ's image through His glory.
b. Glory Brings Restoration (Joel 2:25-27)
God restores what has been lost through His mighty power.
c. Glory Brings Divine Promotion (Isaiah 60:1-3)
The light of God's glory causes believers to rise above limitations.
d. Glory Brings Victory (Psalm 24:7-10)
The King of Glory fights on behalf of His people.
Biblical Example: Saul encountered the glory of Christ on the road to Damascus and was transformed into the Apostle Paul (Acts 9:1-19).
4. WALK IN HOLINESS TO EXPERIENCE GOD'S GLORY
God's glory is revealed through lives that are yielded to Him.
a. Live a Holy Life (1 Peter 1:15-16)
Holiness prepares believers for deeper fellowship with God.
b. Walk in Obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)
Obedience positions believers for covenant blessings.
c. Honour God in All Things (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Every aspect of life should reflect God's glory.
d. Remain Filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18)
The Holy Spirit continually reveals the glory of Christ.
Biblical Example: Isaiah encountered God's glory in the temple, confessed his sin, was cleansed, and received his prophetic commission (Isaiah 6:1-8).
5. GOD'S GLORY MAKES BELIEVERS A TESTIMONY TO THE WORLD
God reveals His glory so that His name will be honoured among the nations.
a. Let Your Light Shine (Matthew 5:16)
A transformed life points others to God.
b. Declare God's Mighty Works (1 Peter 2:9)
Believers are called to proclaim His excellencies.
c. Be a Vessel of Honour (2 Timothy 2:20-21)
God uses purified vessels for His glory.
d. Live for God's Glory (Colossians 3:17)
Every action should magnify the Lord.
Biblical Example: Stephen reflected the glory of God even during persecution, and his unwavering faith became a powerful testimony before those who opposed him (Acts 6:15; 7:54-60).
CONCLUSION
God has always desired to reveal His glory to His people. From Moses on Mount Sinai to the resurrection of Lazarus and the transformation of Paul, Scripture consistently shows that God's glory changes lives, restores hope, strengthens faith, and brings honour to His name. The same God still reveals His glory today to those who sincerely seek Him and believe His Word.
Let us therefore pursue God's presence above worldly pursuits, walk in holiness, trust His promises, and remain faithful in every season. As we do so, the Lord shall reveal His glory in our lives, families, ministries, and every area of our existence, making us living testimonies of His greatness and grace.
