Description: Every human being is uniquely created by God with dignity, purpose, value, and a divine assignment that should be discovered and fulfilled for His glory.

INTRODUCTION

Psalm 139 reveals the depth of God's knowledge and involvement in human life. David recognised that his existence was not an accident but the result of God's intentional work. When he declared, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made," he was acknowledging the wisdom, power, and craftsmanship of the God who created him.

To be fearfully made means to be created in a manner that inspires awe and reverence because of the greatness of the Creator. To be wonderfully made speaks of God's extraordinary craftsmanship. Every person possesses unique abilities, characteristics, experiences, and potential because God has designed human life with purpose.

Understanding this truth should change the way we see ourselves and others. We should not allow rejection, failure, comparison, criticism, or difficult circumstances to determine our worth. Our ultimate value comes from God, who created us, knows us, loves us, and has prepared good works for us to accomplish.

1. YOU ARE GOD'S INTENTIONAL CREATION

Your existence is not an accident. God knew you and formed you according to His divine wisdom.

a) Created In God's Image (Genesis 1:26-27)
Human beings were uniquely created in the image and likeness of God. This gives every person inherent dignity and value.

b) Known Before Birth (Jeremiah 1:5)
God told Jeremiah that He knew him before he was formed in the womb. This demonstrates God's intimate knowledge and purpose concerning human life.

c) Formed By God's Hand (Psalm 139:13)
David recognised that God formed his inward parts and carefully created him in his mother's womb.

d) Created With Purpose (Ephesians 2:10)
We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works that God has prepared for us to accomplish.

Biblical Example: Jeremiah discovered that his existence and calling were known by God before his birth, demonstrating that God's purpose can precede a person's understanding of it (Jeremiah 1:4-10).

2. RECOGNISE YOUR GOD-GIVEN VALUE

Knowing that God created you wonderfully should produce healthy appreciation of your God-given identity rather than insecurity or self-rejection.

a) You Are Precious To God (Isaiah 43:4)
God declared that His people were precious and honoured in His sight. Our value is rooted in God's estimation, not human opinion.

b) Do Not Compare Yourself With Others (2 Corinthians 10:12)
Comparison can produce either pride or discouragement. God has given each person a unique identity and assignment.

c) Reject Self-Disrespect (Psalm 139:14)
David praised God for the way he was made. Recognising God's workmanship should encourage gratitude rather than contempt for oneself.

d) Honour God's Workmanship (Ephesians 2:10)
You should treat your life as something entrusted to you by God and seek to develop the abilities He has placed within you.

Biblical Example: David was overlooked by his family when Samuel came to anoint a king, yet God saw what others did not see and chose him for a significant assignment (1 Samuel 16:6-13).

3. DISCOVER AND DEVELOP YOUR GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL

Being wonderfully made does not mean remaining passive. God's design includes abilities and opportunities that must be developed and used.

a) Identify Your Gifts (Romans 12:6)
God gives different gifts to different people. Discovering your gifts helps you understand how you can serve others effectively.

b) Develop Your Abilities (2 Timothy 1:6)
Paul instructed Timothy to stir up the gift of God within him. What God has placed within us must be cultivated.

c) Be Diligent (Proverbs 22:29)
Skill and excellence develop through diligence. Potential becomes productive when it is accompanied by discipline.

d) Use What God Has Given You (1 Peter 4:10)
Every gift is intended to become a channel of service. We are stewards of what God has entrusted to us.

Biblical Example: Bezalel was filled with the Spirit of God, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and craftsmanship to fulfil a specific assignment in the construction of the tabernacle (Exodus 31:1-6).

4. OVERCOME NEGATIVE LABELS AND REJECTION

People may label us according to our past, weaknesses, failures, or circumstances, but God's purpose is greater than human labels.

a) Your Past Does Not Define Your Future (2 Corinthians 5:17)
In Christ, a person becomes a new creation. God's grace provides a new identity and a new direction.

b) Do Not Be Defined By Rejection (Psalm 27:10)
Even when people fail or abandon us, God remains faithful. His acceptance is more significant than human rejection.

c) Rise Above Failure (Micah 7:8)
Failure does not have to become the final chapter of your story. God's grace enables us to rise and continue.

d) Believe God's Word About You (Romans 8:37)
The believer's identity is determined by God's truth rather than the negative voices of circumstances or people.

Biblical Example: Gideon saw himself as weak and insignificant, but God called him a "mighty man of valour" and used him to deliver Israel (Judges 6:12-16).

5. LIVE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH GOD CREATED YOU

God's workmanship is connected to God's purpose. We were not created merely to exist but to glorify Him and fulfil the assignments He gives us.

a) Glorify God With Your Life (1 Corinthians 6:20)
Since we belong to God, our bodies, abilities, resources, and lives should bring glory to Him.

b) Fulfil Your Assignment (Acts 20:24)
Paul valued completing his God-given ministry more than personal comfort. Purpose requires commitment and perseverance.

c) Serve Others (Galatians 5:13)
Our gifts and abilities become most meaningful when they are used to bless others and advance God's kingdom.

d) Finish Well (2 Timothy 4:7)
The goal is not merely to begin well but to complete the journey faithfully and fulfil God's purpose.

Biblical Example: Esther was positioned in the palace at a critical moment so that she could use her influence to preserve God's people (Esther 4:14-16).

CONCLUSION

You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Your life carries dignity because God created you, value because He knows you, and purpose because He has prepared good works for you. You do not need to measure your worth by comparison with another person or by the opinions of people around you.

Therefore, praise God for who He has made you to be, discover the gifts He has placed within you, develop them diligently, and use them for His glory. Refuse every negative label that contradicts God's Word. Your life is God's workmanship, and as you surrender yourself to Him, He can use your unique design to accomplish extraordinary things for His kingdom.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I thank You for creating me wonderfully and intentionally according to Your divine wisdom and purpose, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, help me to see myself through Your Word and not through the limitations, opinions, or rejection of people, in Jesus name.

3. Father, deliver me from insecurity, inferiority, comparison, and every negative perception that undermines my God-given identity, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, reveal the gifts, abilities, and potential You have placed within me and give me grace to develop them faithfully, in Jesus name.

5. Father, help me to use everything You have given me to serve others and bring glory to Your name, in Jesus name.

6. Lord, heal every wound caused by rejection, criticism, failure, or negative words and restore my confidence in Your purpose for my life, in Jesus name.

7. Father, give me wisdom and discipline to develop my abilities and become increasingly effective in the assignment You have given me, in Jesus name.

8. Lord, let every negative label placed upon my life that contradicts Your Word lose its power and influence over me, in Jesus name.

9. Father, help me to discover and fulfil the purpose for which You created me and to remain faithful to my divine assignment, in Jesus name.

10. Lord, let my life become a beautiful expression of Your workmanship, bringing glory to You and blessing many people throughout my generation, in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

1. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your life shall continually reveal the wisdom, creativity, and greatness of your Creator.

2. You shall not allow rejection, comparison, criticism, failure, or negative opinions to define your identity or determine your future.

3. The Lord shall open your understanding to recognise the gifts, abilities, opportunities, and potential He has placed within you.

4. Every gift deposited in your life shall be stirred up, developed, strengthened, and used effectively for the glory of God.

5. You shall rise above every limitation and negative label that has attempted to reduce your confidence in God's purpose for your life.

6. The Lord shall connect you with people and opportunities that will help you develop your God-given potential and fulfil your divine assignment.

7. You shall discover your purpose, walk confidently in it, and refuse to waste the unique abilities and opportunities God has entrusted to you.

8. Your life shall become an instrument of blessing, and the gifts God has placed within you shall positively influence many people.

9. You shall fulfil the good works God has prepared for you, and your life shall bring glory to Him in your generation.

10. You shall finish your earthly journey with the joy of knowing that you faithfully used the life, gifts, opportunities, and purpose God entrusted to you.
