Description: God calls His people to leave behind former limitations and step by faith into a new season of greater glory, victory, and fulfilment.
INTRODUCTION
Throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself as the God of new beginnings and greater things. He never intended His people to remain permanently in seasons of bondage, wilderness, disappointment, or stagnation. Instead, He leads them progressively from one level of grace and glory to another. The crossing of the River Jordan marked a significant turning point for Israel as they moved from wandering in the wilderness into the land of promise.
Crossing over into greater glory requires faith, obedience, and total dependence upon God. The Israelites could not remain on the eastern side of Jordan if they desired to possess their inheritance. They had to trust God's instructions completely, even when the river overflowed its banks. Likewise, believers today must be willing to leave behind fear, doubt, sin, complacency, and every limitation that hinders spiritual and personal progress.
As we begin this new month, God is inviting us into a higher dimension of His favour, power, and purpose. Every previous disappointment shall become a testimony, every delay shall give way to fulfilment, and every obstacle shall become an opportunity for God's glory to be revealed. This is our season of crossing over into greater glory.
1. GOD PREPARES HIS PEOPLE FOR GREATER GLORY
Before God leads His people into a new season, He prepares their hearts spiritually.
a. Consecrate Yourself Unto the Lord (Joshua 3:5)
Holiness prepares believers to experience God's extraordinary works.
b. Leave the Past Behind (Isaiah 43:18-19)
God calls His people to focus on the new things He is about to do.
c. Seek God's Direction (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Divine guidance prevents costly mistakes and leads to success.
d. Strengthen Your Faith (Hebrews 11:6)
Faith is essential for receiving every promise of God.
Biblical Example: Abraham obeyed God's call to leave his country, and God led him into a land of promise and blessing (Genesis 12:1-4).
2. FAITH IS THE BRIDGE TO GREATER GLORY
Every divine breakthrough requires unwavering trust in God's Word.
a. Walk by Faith and Not by Sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Faith sees possibilities where human reasoning sees impossibilities.
b. Believe God's Promises (Mark 9:23)
All things are possible to those who believe.
c. Step Forward in Obedience (Joshua 3:13)
The waters parted only after the priests stepped into the Jordan.
d. Refuse Fear and Doubt (Isaiah 41:10)
God's presence gives courage to face every challenge.
Biblical Example: Peter walked on water because he responded in faith to the command of Jesus (Matthew 14:28-31).
3. GOD REMOVES EVERY BARRIER TO GREATER GLORY
No obstacle can prevent God's purpose from being fulfilled.
a. God Makes a Way Where There Seems to Be None (Isaiah 43:19)
The Lord creates new opportunities beyond human expectation.
b. Mountains Shall Become Level Ground (Zechariah 4:7)
Every impossible barrier shall bow before God's power.
c. The Lord Fights for His People (Exodus 14:14)
Victory belongs to those who trust in Him.
d. Divine Power Brings Breakthrough (Jeremiah 32:27)
Nothing is too difficult for the Almighty God.
Biblical Example: God parted the Red Sea, making a pathway where none existed for the Israelites (Exodus 14:21-22).
4. GREATER GLORY BRINGS GREATER RESPONSIBILITY
As God elevates His people, He expects greater faithfulness and obedience.
a. Walk Worthy of Your Calling (Ephesians 4:1)
Spiritual maturity should accompany divine promotion.
b. Remain Humble Before God (James 4:10)
Humility preserves the blessings of God.
c. Serve God Faithfully (Colossians 3:23-24)
Every assignment should be carried out wholeheartedly.
d. Continue Growing Spiritually (2 Peter 3:18)
Believers should never become complacent after experiencing breakthroughs.
Biblical Example: Joseph remained faithful after becoming governor of Egypt and used his position to preserve many lives (Genesis 45:5-8).
5. GREATER GLORY RESULTS IN KINGDOM IMPACT
God blesses His people so that His name will be glorified through their lives.
a. Become a Light to Others (Matthew 5:16)
Our lives should point people to Christ.
b. Testify of God's Goodness (Psalm 66:16)
Sharing testimonies strengthens the faith of others.
c. Influence Your Generation (Philippians 2:15)
Believers are called to shine as lights in a dark world.
d. Advance God's Kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20)
Every blessing should become a tool for winning souls and making disciples.
Biblical Example: After the lame man was healed at the Beautiful Gate, many people glorified God, and the miracle opened doors for the preaching of the Gospel (Acts 3:1-10).
CONCLUSION
God is calling His people to leave behind every limitation and move into a season of greater glory. Just as He brought Israel across the Jordan into their inheritance, He is able to lead every believer into new dimensions of favour, fruitfulness, victory, and fulfilment. The journey requires faith, holiness, obedience, and complete dependence upon Him.
As you step into this new season, refuse to remain where you were yesterday. Trust God's promises, obey His instructions, and expect Him to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. You shall cross over every barrier, enter your place of divine fulfilment, and experience greater glory that will bring honour to the name of the Lord.
