POWER AGAINST FAMILY GATES

Main Text: Psalm 24:7-10 – Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.

INTRODUCTION:
Family gates represent spiritual entry and exit points in the lineage through which blessings or curses can flow. These gates can be physical territories, spiritual covenants, or even individuals holding power in the bloodline. When these gates are under satanic control, they can hinder progress, limit destiny fulfilment, and block generational blessings. The Bible shows that gates are not just physical barriers but also spiritual structures of authority that can control outcomes (Psalm 24:7).

Every family has spiritual gates—some ordained by God for protection and blessings, others hijacked by the enemy for oppression and destruction. Demonic powers often use these gates to introduce limitations, delay, sickness, poverty, and untimely death into a family line. Many believers remain under invisible embargoes because these gates have not been identified and spiritually reclaimed.

To overcome the manipulations of evil family gates, believers must rise with spiritual understanding and authority in Christ. Through prayer, fasting, and prophetic declarations, these gates can be lifted for the King of Glory to come in. The battle against family gates is not just personal but generational; when you secure your gates, you also secure the destinies connected to you.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF FAMILY GATES

a) Gates as points of spiritual authority (Genesis 22:17)
Gates in the Bible symbolise authority, decision-making, and control over territories and destinies. Whoever controls the gate controls the flow of blessings or curses.

b) Types of family gates (Proverbs 31:23)
Family gates can be ancestral, marital, financial, territorial, or even emotional gates that determine the flow of influence within the lineage.

c) Demonic infiltration of gates (Job 38:17)
Satan often uses ancestral covenants, altars, and witchcraft to take over gates meant for blessings.

d) God’s intention for family gates (Isaiah 60:11)
God desires that our gates remain open continually for blessings, favour, and divine encounters.

Biblical Example: Lot sitting at the gate of Sodom (Genesis 19:1)
His position at the gate represented influence, but being in the wrong location brought him into compromise.

2. IDENTIFYING EVIL FAMILY GATES

a) Patterns of generational problems (Lamentations 5:7)
Repeated issues like premature death, poverty, barrenness, and divorce may indicate evil gates at work.

b) Dreams revealing gates (Genesis 28:17)
God can reveal through dreams the existence of gates and the powers controlling them.

c) Historical family records (Ezra 2:61-62)
Tracing family history can uncover covenants, oaths, and bloodline connections to idolatry.

d) Holy Spirit discernment (1 Corinthians 2:10)
The Spirit of God gives insight into hidden family structures of control.

He recognised that rebuilding could not start without repairing the gates first.

3. OVERTHROWING THE POWERS AT THE GATES

a) Engaging the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 12:24)
The blood speaks better things and silences every evil voice at the gates.

b) Deploying the Word of God (Jeremiah 23:29)
God’s Word breaks the strength of every demonic resistance.

c) Prophetic warfare prayers (Psalm 107:16)
Prayer dismantles bars of iron and cuts through the spiritual locks.

d) Angelic intervention (Psalm 91:11)
God sends His angels to enforce His will at the gates.

Biblical Example: Peter’s release from prison gates by an angel (Acts 12:10)
The iron gate opened on its own accord when divine power intervened.

4. POSSESSING AND SECURING YOUR FAMILY GATES

a) Constant vigilance (1 Peter 5:8)
Believers must remain watchful because the enemy constantly seeks to regain control.

b) Continual praise and worship (Psalm 100:4)
Praise invites God’s presence, keeping gates open for His glory.

c) Regular prophetic declarations (Job 22:28)
Speaking life over the gates keeps them aligned with God’s purpose.

d) Raising generational altars for God (Genesis 35:1-3)
Godly altars secure gates for blessings and protection.

Biblical Example: Abraham’s possession of enemy gates (Genesis 22:17)
God promised Abraham that his seed would possess the gates of their enemies.

CONCLUSION:
Family gates are vital control points in the realm of the spirit, determining what comes in and goes out of a family line. When under satanic control, they can hinder blessings and cause repeated cycles of affliction. Understanding their operation is the first step toward reclaiming them for the Kingdom of God.

Through the power of the blood of Jesus, the Word of God, prophetic prayers, and divine intervention, believers can overthrow evil powers at the gates. When we possess and secure our family gates, we ensure that the flow of God’s blessings remains unhindered for generations to come.

2. Every evil gatekeeper in my family line, be overthrown in the name of Jesus.

5. I command every gate of stagnation to be lifted now in the name of Jesus.
6. Every demonic covenant controlling the gates of my family, break by fire.
7. O Lord, send Your angels to guard and secure my family gates.
8. Let the King of glory enter every gate of my family today.
9. I decree that my family gates will be open continually for blessings.
10. Father, raise a generational altar in my family to keep the gates under divine control.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. I declare your family gates are opening for divine blessings now!
2. Every gate of affliction in your bloodline is closing permanently in Jesus’ name!
3. The King of glory shall enter your family gates with favour and honour!
4. You will possess the gates of your enemies from today!
5. No evil power shall regain control over your family gates!
6. Your family gates shall be gates of abundance and peace!
7. Every generational curse at your family gates is broken now!
8. You shall stand at your family gates as a watchman for generations!
9. Your family shall experience open gates for divine connections and opportunities!
10. From today, your family gates shall be lifted for God’s glory to be revealed!
