INTRODUCTION:
Divine completion refers to God's faithfulness in bringing every good work He begins in our lives to full fruition. From creation to the salvation of souls, God is in the business of perfecting His work. He starts what He begins and ensures that it reaches completion. This message encourages believers to trust in God’s process, knowing that His work in them will be completed, no matter the challenges or obstacles that may arise.
1. THE NATURE OF DIVINE COMPLETION
a) Divine Completion Is Guaranteed:
When God starts a work in you, He does not abandon it halfway. He is faithful to finish what He begins, ensuring that His purpose in your life is fully realized (Philippians 1:6).
b) It Is Part of God's Divine Plan:
God’s plan for your life is already mapped out, and He will bring each part of that plan to completion in His perfect time (Romans 8:28).
c) Divine Completion Is for Your Good:
God completes His work in us for our ultimate benefit. Though the process may be challenging, the end result will be for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28).
d) It Is a Process, Not Instantaneous:
Divine completion may not happen instantly but over time. God works gradually, refining and perfecting us as He brings His purpose to pass (Isaiah 55:11).
e) Biblical Example:
Jesus’ declaration on the cross, "It is finished" (John 19:30), signifies that the work of redemption was completed. The mission He started was perfectly fulfilled.
2. THE PROMISE OF DIVINE COMPLETION
a) God Completes His Promises:
Whatever God has promised, He will surely bring it to pass. His promises are unfailing, and He will complete them in His time (Isaiah 55:11).
b) God's Completion Is Perfect:
Unlike human efforts, God’s work is flawless. When He finishes, it is perfect, without defect or lack (Matthew 5:48).
c) Completion Brings Glory to God:
The completion of God's work in us serves to glorify Him. When others see the completeness of what God has done in our lives, they will be drawn to Him (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
d) Divine Completion Strengthens Our Faith:
As God completes His work in us, it strengthens our faith, helping us trust Him more fully for the next steps in our lives (John 19:30).
e) Biblical Example:
The Apostle Paul, near the end of his ministry, declared that he had "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7-8). This was the divine completion of his calling.
3. THE PROCESS OF DIVINE COMPLETION
a) Patience and Perseverance:
God’s process of completion often requires patience. As we persevere through trials, we are being prepared for the full completion of His work in us (James 1:4).
b) Divine Timing:
Completion occurs in God’s perfect timing. His timing is precise and purposeful, ensuring that everything aligns with His eternal plan (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
c) Transformation and Growth:
God’s work in us is not only about the external results but also about transforming our hearts and minds to reflect His image more fully (Romans 12:2).
d) Overcoming Obstacles:
Obstacles and setbacks may come, but God uses these to refine and strengthen us, ensuring that His work in us reaches full completion (Philippians 1:6).
e) Biblical Example:
The completion of the Israelites’ journey to the Promised Land was a process that required faith, perseverance, and divine intervention, but God ultimately brought them into the land He had promised (Joshua 21:45).
4. THE RESULTS OF DIVINE COMPLETION
a) Fulfillment of God’s Purpose:
The ultimate result of divine completion is the fulfillment of God’s purpose in our lives. His work brings us into the full expression of His plan for us (Ephesians 2:10).
b) Spiritual Maturity:
As God completes His work in us, we grow in spiritual maturity, becoming more like Christ in character and conduct (Philippians 3:14).
c) Testimony to Others:
The completion of God’s work in our lives becomes a testimony to others of His faithfulness and power (Revelation 12:11).
d) Eternal Rewards:
Divine completion also brings eternal rewards, as we finish our race on earth and receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who are faithful to the end (2 Timothy 4:8).
e) Biblical Example:
Jesus’ work of salvation brought about divine completion, resulting in eternal life for all who believe in Him (John 3:16).
5. HOW TO ALIGN WITH DIVINE COMPLETION
a) Surrender to God’s Will:
Aligning ourselves with God’s will and purpose is key to experiencing divine completion. We must submit to His guidance and direction for our lives (Matthew 26:39).
b) Trust God’s Process:
Even when the journey is difficult, trust that God is working in you and through you to bring about His completion (Proverbs 3:5-6).
c) Stay Committed to the Call:
Be committed to God’s purpose for your life. Staying focused and obedient will help you stay in line with His plan for divine completion (Philippians 3:14).
d) Engage in Persistent Prayer:
Through consistent prayer, we invite God’s help to complete the work He has started in us (Luke 18:1).
e) Biblical Example:
The Apostle Paul’s commitment to his calling and his perseverance in the face of challenges allowed him to reach the divine completion of his ministry, as he declared in 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
CONCLUSION:
Divine completion is God’s faithful assurance that He will finish the work He has begun in you. From creation to salvation, God is in the process of perfecting His work in your life. Trust His plan, follow His timing, and rest in the certainty that He will bring all things to completion for His glory. No matter what challenges or obstacles may arise, you can be confident that God will finish what He has started.
