Description: Divine preservation is God’s supernatural protection and sustaining power over His children, shielding them from harm, danger, and destruction while ensuring they fulfill their destiny.

INTRODUCTION:
One of the greatest assurances that believers have in Christ is the promise of divine preservation. God does not just redeem us from sin; He also guards our lives against danger and sustains us so that we can walk in His plan. Divine preservation means that the Lord Himself becomes our shield, our covering, and our refuge in times of trouble.

In a world filled with uncertainty, fear, and wickedness, many live under the constant threat of harm or premature death. Yet, the child of God is not left to the mercy of circumstances or human protection alone. Instead, we are divinely covered by God’s mighty hand and surrounded by His angelic forces.

Understanding and walking in divine preservation gives the believer confidence to face life without fear. It assures us that until our assignment is completed, our lives are hidden in Christ, and no weapon formed against us can prosper.

1. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF PRESERVATION
True preservation does not come from human efforts, security systems, or physical strength; it comes from the Lord who watches over His people.

a) The Lord Our Keeper (Psalm 121:5–6) – God never sleeps nor slumbers; He is constantly watching to ensure no harm overtakes His children.

b) Divine Refuge (Proverbs 18:10) – The name of the Lord is a strong tower where the righteous run for safety and cannot be reached by the enemy.

c) The Promise of Protection (Isaiah 41:10) – God promises His presence, strength, and upholding hand to keep us from falling into destruction.

d) The Faithfulness of God (2 Thessalonians 3:3) – God is faithful to establish His people and protect them from the schemes of the wicked one.

Biblical Example: Noah was preserved from the flood by divine instruction and provision (Genesis 7:1–24). While destruction came upon the earth, Noah and his family were kept safe because God was their source of preservation.

2.  DIVINE PRESERVATION THROUGH COVENANT RELATIONSHIP
God’s preservation is guaranteed for those who belong to Him and walk in obedience to His covenant.

a) The Covenant of Life (Psalm 91:14-16) – God promises long life and deliverance to those who love Him and remain devoted to Him.

b) The Blood Covenant (Exodus 12:13) – The blood of the lamb preserved the Israelites from destruction, foreshadowing the blood of Jesus that secures believers today.

c) Obedience to Instructions (Deuteronomy 28:1-6) – Walking in God’s Word activates His promises of protection over every area of life.

d) Angelic Protection (Psalm 34:7) – The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, shielding them from danger.

Biblical Example: The Israelites in Goshen were preserved from the plagues of Egypt (Exodus 8:22-23). Their covenant with God exempted them from the destruction that befell others.

3.   DIVINE PRESERVATION IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
God does not promise that troubles will never come, but He assures us that His preservation will sustain us in the midst of trials.

a) Preservation in the Fire (Isaiah 43:2) – Even when passing through fire or water, God promises that they shall not overwhelm His children.

b) Deliverance from Evil (John 17:15) – Jesus prayed that the Father would keep believers from the evil one while they remain in the world.

c) Victory Over Weapons of the Enemy (Isaiah 54:17) – No weapon fashioned against the believer can succeed because of divine covering.

d) Peace in the Midst of Storms (Mark 4:39-41) – God’s preservation does not only shield from danger but also brings peace and calm in chaotic situations.

Biblical Example: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were preserved in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3:24-27). Not even the smell of fire was found on them because God’s presence was with them.

4.   RESPONSIBILITIES TO WALK IN DIVINE PRESERVATION

Though preservation is God’s work, believers have responsibilities to remain under His covering.

a) Living in Righteousness (Psalm 34:19) – The righteous may face afflictions, but God delivers them from all, making righteousness a key to divine preservation.

b) Faith and Trust in God (Psalm 91:2) – Trusting God as refuge and fortress brings the believer into His supernatural protection.

c) Prayer and Declaration (Job 22:28) – Constant prayer and prophetic declarations build a shield over the believer’s life.

d) Dwelling in God’s Presence (Psalm 91:1) – Staying in close fellowship with God ensures continued covering under His shadow.

Biblical Example: Daniel was preserved in the lion’s den because of his righteousness, trust, and consistent prayer life (Daniel 6:22).

CONCLUSION:
Divine preservation is the heritage of the believer. It is not dependent on human ability but on God’s covenant faithfulness and power. In a world where danger and uncertainty abound, the Lord assures us of His keeping hand, His angelic protection, and His covenant promises.

Our responsibility is to remain under His covering through faith, obedience, and consistent fellowship. As long as we walk with God, no evil will befall us, and no power will be able to cut short our lives or destiny. Divine preservation ensures we fulfill our God-given purpose in peace and victory.

10. Father, let my life be a testimony of Your keeping power and divine protection.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. You shall be divinely preserved from all forms of evil.
2. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
3. You shall enjoy covenant exemption from destruction and calamity.
4. The blood of Jesus shall speak protection over you and your family.
5. Angels shall surround you to deliver you from every danger.
6. You shall walk in safety and security all the days of your life.
7. The Lord shall preserve your health, your wealth, and your destiny.
8. You shall fulfill your days in peace and not in sorrow.

In a world filled with uncertainties and challenges, the assurance of God's preservation brings peace to our hearts. This sermon explores the meaning of divine preservation, how God safeguards His children, and the importance of trusting Him to keep us in all our ways.

1. UNDERSTANDING DIVINE PRESERVATION

a) Definition of Preservation
Divine preservation refers to God's active involvement in safeguarding His people from harm and danger (Psalm 121:7).

b) God's Promise of Preservation
The Bible assures us that God watches over us and keeps us safe (Isaiah 43:2).

c) The Nature of God's Preservation
God's preservation encompasses our physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being (Psalm 91:11-12).

d) Faith in God's Ability to Preserve
We must trust in God's ability to protect and preserve us through trials (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

Biblical Example: Noah's Preservation – God preserved Noah and his family during the flood because of Noah's righteousness (Genesis 6:18).

2. THE ROLE OF GOD IN OUR PRESERVATION

a) God as Our Protector
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

b) His Angels Assigned to Us
God sends His angels to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11).

c) Guidance Through Challenges
God preserves us by guiding us through life's challenges and dangers (Proverbs 3:5-6).

d) Empowerment in Weakness
In our weaknesses, God empowers us to overcome adversity (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Biblical Example: Daniel in the Lions' Den – God preserved Daniel by shutting the mouths of the lions (Daniel 6:22).

3. OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN RECEIVING PRESERVATION

a) Faith and Trust in God
Trusting God is essential to experiencing His preservation (Proverbs 30:5).

b) Obedience to God's Word
Living according to God's commands positions us for His protection (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).

c) Prayer as a Means of Preservation
Seeking God in prayer invites His preservation in our lives (Philippians 4:6-7).

d) Cultivating a Close Relationship with God
A strong relationship with God enhances our awareness of His protective presence (James 4:8).

Biblical Example: David's Trust in God – David continually sought the Lord, leading to his preservation from Saul (1 Samuel 23:14).

4. THE RESULTS OF DIVINE PRESERVATION

a) Peace and Assurance
Knowing we are preserved by God brings peace in the midst of turmoil (Philippians 4:7).

b) Joy in Trials
Divine preservation allows us to rejoice even in difficult times, knowing God is with us (James 1:2-3).

c) Testimonies of God’s Faithfulness
Our experiences of preservation lead to testimonies that encourage others (Psalm 34:6).

d) Strengthened Faith
Witnessing God’s preservation strengthens our faith and reliance on Him (Romans 10:17).

Biblical Example: Paul and Silas in Prison – Their trust in God led to miraculous preservation and deliverance (Acts 16:25-26).

5. DECLARING GOD'S PRESERVATION

a) Proclaiming His Goodness
We are called to declare the goodness of God in our lives (Psalm 107:2).

b) Encouraging Others
Our testimonies inspire others to trust in God's preservation (Revelation 12:11).

c) Living as Witnesses
Our lives should reflect the preservation we receive, drawing others to Christ (Matthew 5:16).

d) Building a Legacy of Faith
We pass down the stories of God’s preservation to future generations (Psalm 78:4).

Biblical Example: The Israelites in the Wilderness – God preserved His people in the wilderness, leading them to a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:17).

CONCLUSION:
The Lord's promise to preserve us is a source of great comfort and strength. As we trust in Him, seek to live according to His Word, and share our testimonies of His faithfulness, we can experience His divine preservation in every aspect of our lives.

Divine preservation speaks of God's ability to keep and protect His children from all forms of danger, harm, or destruction. It is God’s power that shields His people in the midst of storms, challenges, and the attacks of the enemy. This message will explore how God preserves His own, providing comfort and assurance that He is ever-present to safeguard us in all circumstances.

1. GOD IS OUR SHIELD AND DEFENDER

a) God's Protection from All Evil
Psalm 121:7 assures us that God will keep us from all evil; His eyes are always watching over us.

b) God’s Refuge for the Righteous
In Psalm 91:1-4, we learn that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High are covered under His wings of protection.

c) Protection from Seen and Unseen Dangers
God's preservation extends to dangers both visible and invisible, including spiritual attacks (Psalm 91:5-6).

d) God as Our Defender
He is the one who fights our battles and defends us from the forces of darkness (Exodus 14:14).

God’s promise to be with us always gives us the confidence to trust Him for divine preservation (Matthew 28:20).

Paul’s shipwreck and subsequent survival illustrate God’s presence in the midst of life-threatening situations (Acts 27:22-24).

3. GOD PRESERVES THE RIGHTEOUS FROM THE ENEMY

a) Deliverance from the Plots of the Enemy
God frustrates the plans of the wicked and preserves His people from the hands of their enemies (Psalm 34:17).

Divine preservation shields believers from the attacks of the devil, ensuring their spiritual safety (Ephesians 6:11).

2 Thessalonians 3:3 reminds us that God is faithful, and He will strengthen and guard us from the evil one.

When the enemy rises up against God’s children, He intervenes to deliver them from all forms of oppression (Isaiah 59:19).

Prayer invites God’s protective power into our lives, securing us from harm (Psalm 91:15).

b) Seeking God’s Help for Protection
When we seek God in prayer, He responds by surrounding us with His preservation (Psalm 17:8).

c) Praying for Divine Intervention in Times of Trouble
In moments of distress, prayer is the key that unlocks divine intervention and deliverance (Psalm 50:15).

d) Believing God’s Promises of Protection
Praying the promises of God’s protection over our lives ensures His continuous preservation (Psalm 18:30).

Hezekiah’s prayer for protection from the Assyrian army resulted in divine preservation as God defeated the enemy (2 Kings 19:14-19, 35).
