INTRODUCTION
Walking with God is more than a phrase; it is a lifestyle of intimacy, obedience, and continuous fellowship with the Creator. In the days of Enoch, humanity was spiraling into corruption and wickedness, yet he distinguished himself by consistent righteousness and closeness to God.
Enoch’s walk with God is instructive for our times, where immorality, compromise, and spiritual apathy are rampant. His life demonstrates that it is possible to live a godly life even when surrounded by decay and ungodliness.
This sermon will teach believers how to maintain intimacy with God, resist cultural corruption, and experience divine favour, protection, and reward in a world that increasingly rejects righteousness.
1. WALKING WITH GOD IS A CHOICE
Walking with God requires deliberate decision and consistency.
a) Choose intimacy over conformity (Genesis 5:22-24)
Enoch intentionally walked with God rather than succumbing to societal corruption.
b) Consistency is key (Colossians 1:10)
Daily choices define our spiritual trajectory.
c) Commitment over convenience (Psalm 1:1-3)
Walking with God requires deliberate separation from worldly influence.
d) Obedience validates fellowship (Micah 6:8)
Integrity and obedience to God’s principles demonstrate true walking.
Biblical Example:
Enoch consistently chose God’s company and ways over the world’s standards, resulting in divine favour.

A godly walk affects personal destiny and impacts the generation.
a) Faith influences others positively (Hebrews 11:5)
Enoch’s life is remembered because of his faithfulness.

A life aligned with God commands respect and spiritual impact.

Enoch’s walk impacted not only his life but set a precedent of faithfulness in corrupt surroundings.

Remaining righteous in a wicked environment demands discipline.

Walking with God is incompatible with sin and ungodliness.

Believers must resist conforming to worldly standards.

A life fully devoted to God attracts supernatural honour and blessing.
a) God rewards faithfulness (Genesis 5:24)
Enoch was taken by God, bypassing death as a reward for his intimacy.

Walking closely with God positions believers for supernatural encounters.

Prosperity and fruitfulness follow the godly path.

God honours the integrity of hidden and visible actions alike.

CONCLUSION
Enoch’s life reminds us that walking with God is a deliberate, daily choice. It requires integrity, faithfulness, and separation from corruption. Even in a world filled with sin, those who choose God’s path can experience protection, influence, and divine reward.
Believers today are called to emulate Enoch’s example: to remain steadfast, to walk in intimacy with God, and to pursue righteousness in every aspect of life. Walking with God ensures not only personal blessing but sets a godly standard in a corrupt generation.
