INTRODUCTION:
Divine support is the supernatural help and strength that comes from God to enable believers to fulfil their destiny and overcome life’s challenges. It is God's assurance that He is with His children, providing strength, guidance, and victory in every situation. This sermon explores the meaning, benefits, and how to activate divine support in our lives.

1. WHAT IS DIVINE SUPPORT?

a) God’s Ever-Present Help:
Divine support is God's timely intervention in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

b) Strength Beyond Human Ability:
It is the supernatural empowerment to achieve what is naturally impossible (Philippians 4:13).

c) Assurance of God’s Presence:
Divine support guarantees that God walks with His children through every challenge (Isaiah 43:2).

d) God’s Upholding Power:
It involves being upheld by God’s righteous hand, ensuring stability (Psalm 37:24).

e) Divine Backing in Life’s Assignments:
God supports His people in carrying out His purpose and will (Exodus 3:12).

Biblical Example:
Moses received divine support at the Red Sea, enabling Israel to cross safely (Exodus 14:13-16).

2. BENEFITS OF DIVINE SUPPORT

a) Victory in Battles:
God fights for those who trust in Him (Exodus 14:14).

b) Strength in Weakness:
Divine support strengthens believers in moments of weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

c) Direction and Guidance:
God provides wisdom and guidance through His support (Psalm 32:8).

d) Protection from Harm:
Divine support ensures safety from all forms of danger (Psalm 121:7).

e) Fulfilment of God’s Promises:
It enables believers to walk in the fulfilment of divine promises (Joshua 1:9).

Biblical Example:
David experienced divine support when he defeated Goliath against all odds (1 Samuel 17:45-50).

3. KEYS TO EXPERIENCING DIVINE SUPPORT

a) Trusting in God Completely:
Faith in God activates His help (Proverbs 3:5-6).

b) Maintaining a Prayerful Life:
Prayer connects us to God’s unlimited resources (Jeremiah 33:3).

c) Obeying God’s Instructions:
Obedience to God invites His support (Deuteronomy 28:1).

d) Relying on the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit empowers and supports believers in every situation (John 14:26).

e) Living a Life of Faith:
Faith pleases God and attracts His intervention (Hebrews 11:6).

Biblical Example:
Elijah relied on divine support when God sent ravens to feed him during a famine (1 Kings 17:5-6).

4. OBSTACLES TO DIVINE SUPPORT

a) Doubt and Unbelief:
A lack of faith hinders divine intervention (Matthew 13:58).

b) Sin and Disobedience:
Sin separates man from God's support (Isaiah 59:2).

c) Pride and Self-Sufficiency:
Relying on oneself instead of God blocks divine help (James 4:6).

d) Lack of Prayer:
Neglecting prayer closes the door to divine support (James 4:2).

e) Fear and Anxiety:
Fear undermines faith and limits God’s move (2 Timothy 1:7).

King Saul lost divine support because of disobedience and pride (1 Samuel 15:23).

5. HOW TO WALK IN DIVINE SUPPORT

a) Acknowledging God as Your Source:
Recognising God as the ultimate provider of help (Psalm 54:4).

b) Staying in God’s Presence:
Abiding in God’s presence ensures constant support (Psalm 91:1).

c) Declaring God’s Promises:
Speaking the Word activates divine intervention (Isaiah 55:11).

d) Seeking God in All Decisions:
Involving God in every aspect of life invites His support (Proverbs 16:3).

e) Walking in Covenant Relationship:
God supports those who are in covenant with Him (Genesis 17:1-2).

Biblical Example:
Nehemiah received divine support to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem despite opposition (Nehemiah 2:18).

CONCLUSION:
Divine support is the lifeline that sustains believers in their journey of faith. It empowers, protects, and ensures success in the face of challenges. As we put our trust in God, live in obedience, and remain in constant fellowship with Him, we can rest assured of His unfailing support.
