Description: This message reveals God’s divine protection over His people and how He surrounds them with supernatural security.

INTRODUCTION
In a world filled with visible and invisible dangers, the need for divine protection cannot be overstated. Threats may arise from spiritual opposition, unforeseen accidents, wicked intentions, or environmental hazards. Human security systems can offer limited protection, but they cannot guard the soul or foresee every danger.

Scripture introduces the concept of a hedge, a divine boundary established by God Himself. This hedge is not physical, yet it is powerful. It is an invisible shield that prevents destruction and frustrates the plans of the enemy.

When God builds a hedge around a person, family, or destiny, it becomes clear that preservation is not accidental but intentional. The God who built a hedge around Job is still building protective walls around His covenant people today.

1. GOD’S HEDGE IS A DIVINE BARRIER AGAINST ATTACKS
God establishes boundaries that the enemy cannot cross without permission.

a) Satan’s Limitation (Job 1:12)
The enemy could not touch Job without divine consent, proving that God controls the boundaries of attack.

b) No Weapon Shall Prosper (Isaiah 54:17)
Even when weapons are formed, they cannot succeed against those under God’s protection.

c) The Angelic Encampment (Psalm 34:7)
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, delivering them from harm.

d) The Name as a Strong Tower (Proverbs 18:10)
The righteous run into God’s name and find safety.

Biblical Example:
Elisha’s servant feared the Syrian army, but God opened his eyes to see heavenly hosts surrounding them (2 Kings 6:16-17), demonstrating divine protection beyond natural sight.

2. GOD’S HEDGE PRESERVES FAMILIES AND POSSESSIONS
Divine protection extends beyond individuals to households and resources.

a) Protection Over Household (Job 1:10)
The hedge covered Job, his house, and all that he possessed.

b) Safety in Dwelling (Psalm 91:9-10)
No plague or disaster comes near the dwelling of those who trust God.

c) Passover Protection (Exodus 12:23)
When the blood was applied, destruction passed over Israelite homes.

d) Covenant Covering (Genesis 7:1)
Noah and his family were preserved in the ark during global destruction.

Biblical Example:
Rahab and her household were spared during Jericho’s fall because of the covenant sign in her window (Joshua 6:22-23), showing God’s hedge over families aligned with Him.

3. GOD’S HEDGE BRINGS PEACE IN THE MIDST OF DANGER
Divine protection produces inner confidence.

a) Fearless in Crisis (Psalm 91:5-6)
Those under God’s shadow are not terrified by terror by night.

b) Surrounded by Fire (Zechariah 2:5)
God declares Himself a wall of fire around His people.

c) Divine Rear Guard (Isaiah 52:12)
The Lord goes before and behind His people.

d) Peace Through Trust (Isaiah 26:3)
Perfect peace flows from steadfast trust in God’s protection.

Biblical Example:
Paul survived a deadly shipwreck and a viper’s bite without harm (Acts 27:23-24; 28:3-5), illustrating peace and preservation even in extreme danger.

4. OBEDIENCE AND FAITH KEEP YOU UNDER THE HEDGE
While God builds the hedge, believers must remain aligned with Him.

a) Abiding Under His Shadow (Psalm 91:1)
Dwelling in God’s secret place ensures continual protection.

b) Walking in Righteousness (Proverbs 4:18-19)
The path of the just grows brighter, while disobedience exposes one to danger.

c) Trusting Fully (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Acknowledging God in all ways invites His direction and covering.

d) Resisting the Enemy (James 4:7)
Submission to God strengthens spiritual defense.

Biblical Example:
The Israelites were safe when they followed the pillar of cloud and fire (Exodus 13:21-22), demonstrating that obedience keeps one under divine covering.

CONCLUSION
The God who builds a hedge around you is intentional about your preservation. His protection is comprehensive—covering your life, family, possessions, and destiny. Though dangers may exist, they cannot prevail when God’s boundary is established.

Remain in His presence. Walk in obedience. Trust His promises. The same God who encamped angels around Elisha and shielded Job from total destruction will surround you with His wall of fire and keep you secure.
