Description
A gatekeeper is one who watches over, guards, preserves, and controls access to what has been entrusted to him. In this message, however, the focus is not primarily on human beings as gatekeepers, but on God Himself as our Divine Gatekeeper. He watches over our lives, families, homes, journeys, possessions, ministries, and destinies. When God is our Gatekeeper, we can rest confidently in His unfailing protection and preserving power.

INTRODUCTION
A gatekeeper stands at the entrance of a city, house, or important place to watch over what enters and leaves. The gatekeeper is expected to remain alert, identify danger, protect what is valuable, and ensure that the place under his care remains secure. Isaiah 62:6-7 speaks about watchmen whom God placed upon Jerusalem's walls. Yet behind every human watchman is the ultimate Watchman, God Himself, who never sleeps, never becomes tired, and never abandons His people.

Human gatekeepers can become tired. They can fall asleep, become distracted, make mistakes, or become unavailable. But God never sleeps. Psalm 121:4 declares, “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Our security ultimately does not depend upon human ability. The Lord Himself is our Keeper, Watchman, Defender, and Gatekeeper.

When God becomes your Gatekeeper, you can sleep peacefully because He remains awake. When you travel, He watches. When your family is at home, He watches. When you are unaware of what is happening around you, He watches. When you cannot see the danger ahead, He sees it. God is my Gatekeeper; therefore, my life is under divine supervision and my destiny is under divine preservation.

Prayer Point

Father, be the Gatekeeper of my future. Go before me, order my steps, preserve my destiny, and lead me into everything You have prepared for me, in Jesus name.

CONCLUSION

Human beings may watch gates, security personnel may guard buildings, and technology may provide physical security, but our ultimate Keeper is God. He neither slumbers nor sleeps. He watches over our homes, families, journeys, possessions, ministries, and destinies. Nothing can happen outside His knowledge, and no circumstance is beyond His ability to intervene.

Therefore, make this your personal confession: “THE LORD IS MY GATEKEEPER.” He watches when I sleep, He protects when I travel, He guards my family when I am absent, He controls access to my destiny, and He goes before me into the future. I will not live in fear. I will trust Him, obey Him, and rest under His covering. When God is your Gatekeeper, you can sleep because your Keeper is awake.
