BREAKING OUT OF EVIL COVENANTS

INTRODUCTION:
Many lives today are hindered, afflicted, and stagnated not because of their present actions, but because of evil covenants—agreements, vows, or spiritual transactions made knowingly or unknowingly, either by them or by their ancestors. These covenants give legal ground to the enemy to operate and afflict individuals, families, and even generations.

Evil covenants are spiritual contracts, and until they are broken through the power of Christ, they continue to speak against destinies. But the good news is this: Jesus Christ came to cancel every handwriting of ordinances written against us. Through His blood, every evil agreement can be nullified.

Today’s message brings light to the nature of evil covenants, how they operate, and how we can break free by the power of God. No covenant is stronger than the covenant of the blood of Jesus!

1. UNDERSTANDING EVIL COVENANTS
Evil covenants are deliberate or inherited agreements that bring people under demonic bondage.

a) Evil covenants can be ancestral (Exodus 20:5):
Many people suffer today because of the idolatry, bloodshed, or occult practices of their forefathers, which opened doors to generational bondage.

b) Evil covenants can be self-imposed (Judges 11:30-31):
Like Jephthah, people sometimes enter into rash vows and binding words that open doors to demonic manipulation.

c) Evil covenants are legally binding in the spirit realm (Ecclesiastes 5:6):
Spiritual covenants are not easily broken unless dealt with through higher spiritual authority and knowledge.

d) They operate through tokens, altars, and sacrifices (Psalm 50:5):
Many covenants are sealed by rituals, sacrifices, or physical tokens like rings, garments, blood, and names that give demons access.

Biblical Example: The Gibeonites tricked Israel into a covenant, and even generations later, breaking it brought a curse until it was addressed (Joshua 9:3-15; 2 Samuel 21:1).

2. SIGNS THAT ONE IS UNDER AN EVIL COVENANT
The presence of evil patterns often indicates the operation of a covenant.

a) Repeated cycles of failure and near-success syndrome (Deuteronomy 28:29):
People under evil covenants often struggle to complete what they start, just as success is about to be attained.

b) Strange illnesses or afflictions that defy medical explanation (Luke 13:11-13):
Many illnesses are rooted not in the physical but in spiritual covenants that demand sacrifice or suffering.

c) Chronic delay in marriage, childbearing, or breakthrough (Genesis 30:1):
Where there is a covenant of spiritual marriage or barrenness, delays persist despite all efforts.

d) Constant dreams of backwardness or spiritual attack (Job 33:14-18):
Nightmares such as eating in dreams, being pursued, or sexual encounters in dreams are often signs of covenantal bondage.

Biblical Example: The man at the tombs of Gadara was bound by legions because of demonic legal access (Mark 5:1-9).

3. HOW TO BREAK FREE FROM EVIL COVENANTS
God has provided divine tools and spiritual strategies to cancel every demonic agreement.

a) Renounce the covenant verbally and consciously (Romans 10:10):
With your mouth, declare the cancellation of any evil covenant, consciously renouncing them before God.

b) Invoke the blood of Jesus as your superior covenant (Hebrews 12:24):
The blood of Jesus speaks better things than any other blood and is the highest legal authority in the spirit realm.

c) Destroy the tokens, altars, and connection points (Acts 19:19):
Burn, disconnect from, and reject any physical object, name, or tie associated with the evil covenant.

d) Replace the old covenant with a new walk of righteousness and obedience (2 Corinthians 6:14-18):
Live a life separate unto God, breaking every soul tie and walking in the truth of God’s Word.

Biblical Example: Gideon tore down his father’s altar of Baal and built a new altar to the Lord, symbolising the breaking of evil heritage (Judges 6:25-28).

4. LIVING IN THE REALITY OF YOUR FREEDOM
Freedom from evil covenants must be maintained with vigilance and spiritual discipline.

a) Stand firm in faith and confession (Galatians 5:1):
The enemy will attempt to bring fear and lies, but you must continually declare your liberty in Christ.

b) Engage in daily prayer and warfare (Ephesians 6:12-13):
Spiritual warfare helps you resist any attempt of the enemy to re-enter your life.

c) Walk in obedience and holiness (1 Peter 1:15-16):
Sin gives room for demonic re-entry; holiness shuts the door permanently.

d) Surround yourself with the Word and fellowship (Psalm 119:11; Hebrews 10:25):
The Word renews your mind, and godly fellowship keeps your faith alive.

Biblical Example: The Israelites had to keep the Passover yearly as a reminder of their deliverance from Egypt (Exodus 12:24-27).

CONCLUSION:
Evil covenants are real, and they have the power to bind, hinder, and destroy destinies. But the covenant of the blood of Jesus is greater than any demonic agreement. No matter the depth of the bondage, God has provided a way of escape through the cross. You can be free, and you must live free.

Today, rise in faith and declare that every evil covenant over your life is broken. The chains are shattered, and your destiny is restored. You are redeemed, delivered, and established in the everlasting covenant of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, thank You for the power in the blood of Jesus to break every evil covenant.
2. I renounce every evil agreement entered into by me or on my behalf.
3. Let every demonic altar speaking against my destiny be destroyed by fire.
4. I disconnect my life from ancestral covenants and generational curses.
5. By the blood of Jesus, I cancel every legal ground the enemy has over me.
6. Every token or object linking me to darkness, I reject and destroy it.
7. I decree divine restoration of everything stolen through evil covenants.
8. Holy Spirit, expose and uproot every hidden covenant in my foundation.
9. I receive the benefits of the new covenant in Christ—freedom, peace, and favour.
10. I declare I am a covenant child of God and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. Every evil covenant holding your destiny is broken in Jesus’ name.
2. You are released from every ancestral bondage today.
3. The blood of Jesus speaks victory over your life.
4. Every strange altar raised against your destiny is consumed by fire.
5. You will no longer operate under generational curses.
6. From today, you walk in liberty, favour, and divine authority.
7. Your destiny is restored and your season of delay is over.
8. Evil cycles in your family are permanently broken.
9. The covenant of life, peace, and prosperity is your portion.
10. You shall testify of complete deliverance and restoration in Jesus’ name.
