INTRODUCTION:
Our God is not only loving and merciful—He is also a consuming fire. The fire of God symbolises His presence, power, purity, and passion. From the burning bush that called Moses, to the fire on Mount Carmel, to the cloven tongues of fire at Pentecost, God's fire reveals His nature and demands.

God's fire refines, purifies, empowers, judges, and manifests His glory. It is never to be taken lightly. In these last days, the Church must return to the God of fire—not for destruction but for revival and consecration. Where there is no fire, there is no true worship or spiritual life. God's fire ignites hearts, consumes sin, and lights the path of holiness and divine service.

Let us explore what it means to know and walk with the God of fire, and how His fire should impact our lives and ministries.

1. GOD’S FIRE REVEALS HIS HOLY PRESENCE
Where God is, His fire is manifest.

a) God Appears in Fire to Reveal Himself (Exodus 3:2-5)
Moses encountered God in a burning bush that was not consumed.

b) Fire Represents God's Glory and Majesty (Revelation 1:14)
Jesus' eyes were like flames of fire, radiating purity and divine insight.

c) God's Presence is a Refining Fire (Malachi 3:2-3)
He purifies like a refiner’s fire to cleanse His people.

d) Only the Pure Can Stand in His Fire (Isaiah 33:14-15)
God's fire will judge the unclean but preserve the righteous.

Biblical Example: Moses at the burning bush was called and consecrated by the fire of God's presence (Exodus 3:2-5).

2. GOD’S FIRE EMPOWERS FOR SERVICE AND WITNESSING
Fire is the seal of divine commissioning and power.

a) The Holy Spirit Came as Fire (Acts 2:1-4)
Tongues of fire rested on the disciples, signifying power from on high.

b) God's Fire Burns in the Heart of His Servants (Jeremiah 20:9)
Jeremiah couldn’t keep silent because of the fire in his bones.

c) Fire Separates the True from the False (Luke 3:16-17)
Jesus baptises with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

d) God Uses Fire to Anoint and Send Forth (Mark 16:20)
Miracles, signs, and boldness follow those who are fire-filled.

Biblical Example: The apostles received boldness and power to preach after being filled with the fire of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:1-4).

3. GOD’S FIRE CONSUMES SIN AND JUDGEMENT
He is a consuming fire—both purifying and judging.

a) Sin Cannot Stand Before God’s Fire (Hebrews 12:29)
God consumes impurity and wickedness with His holy fire.

b) Fire Fell on Nadab and Abihu for Disobedience (Leviticus 10:1-2)
Strange fire brings judgment.

c) God Uses Fire to Expose and Purge (1 Corinthians 3:13)
Each man’s work will be tested by fire.

d) Judgement Begins in the House of God (1 Peter 4:17)
Before the world is judged, the Church must be purified.

Biblical Example: Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire for their abominations (Genesis 19:24-25).

4. GOD’S FIRE IGNITES REVIVAL AND WORSHIP
Fire is essential for sustained spiritual fervency.

a) The Altar Must Never Lack Fire (Leviticus 6:12-13)
The fire on the altar must burn continually—it must not go out.

b) Fire Inspires Pure Worship (2 Chronicles 7:1-3)
When the fire fell, the people bowed in worship.

c) Without Fire, Worship Becomes Routine (John 4:24)
True worship is spirit and truth—fueled by divine fire.

d) Revival Comes When Fire Falls Again (1 Kings 18:36-39)
Elijah's altar was consumed and the people turned back to God.

Biblical Example: Fire fell in response to Elijah’s prayer, sparking national revival (1 Kings 18:36-39).

CONCLUSION:
The God of fire is calling His Church back to the altar—back to purity, power, passion, and divine presence. We need His fire to live holy, serve effectively, and impact the world. The world is dark and cold, but the fire of God will make His people burn with light and heat for His glory.

Don’t fear the fire—embrace it. Let the fire of God burn away every impurity, ignite your gifts, and set you ablaze for His glory. Like Isaiah, cry out, "Here am I, Lord; send me!" after the fire has touched your lips.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, set my heart on fire for You again.
2. Father, let Your purifying fire consume every sin and impurity in me.
3. Rekindle Your fire upon the altar of my prayer and worship.
4. Lord, baptise me afresh with Holy Ghost fire.
5. May Your fire in me never go out; keep me burning for You.

1. The fire of God shall ignite a new passion in your spirit!
2. Every coldness in your spiritual life is catching fire now!
3. The fire of revival is coming upon your life and family!
