ESCAPING THE SNARE OF THE ENEMY

INTRODUCTION:
The devil is a master strategist who lays traps and snares to capture the destiny of God's children. These snares may come in various forms—temptations, wrong associations, fear, disobedience, or ignorance. Many have fallen victim and are bound spiritually, emotionally, or even physically because they were unaware or careless.

However, the good news is that God does not leave His children without help. The Word of God promises deliverance from every snare the enemy sets. Just like a bird escapes from a trap, believers too can be set free from the devices of Satan when they walk in God’s wisdom and authority.

This message reveals how the enemy sets snares and how we can escape them through spiritual vigilance, divine intervention, and obedience to God’s Word. It is time to walk in freedom and dominion over every trap of the enemy.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE ENEMY’S SNARES
To escape, you must recognise what the snare looks like and how it functions.

a) Snares Come in Subtle and Deceptive Forms (2 Corinthians 11:14)
The devil often disguises his traps as opportunities or harmless pleasures.

b) Ignorance of God’s Word Makes One Vulnerable (Hosea 4:6)
When believers lack knowledge, they fall easily into the enemy’s traps.

c) Disobedience Opens Doors to the Enemy (Ecclesiastes 10:8)
Breaking divine boundaries makes one an easy target.

d) Wrong Relationships Can Be Satanic Snares (Proverbs 13:20)
Unhealthy alliances can derail a believer’s walk with God.

Biblical Example: Samson fell into Delilah’s snare because of disobedience and compromise (Judges 16:4-21).

2. KEYS TO ESCAPING THE ENEMY’S SNARES
God provides ways of escape through His Word, Spirit, and wisdom.

a) Stay Anchored in God’s Word and Truth (Psalm 119:105)
The light of the Word exposes every hidden trap.

b) Walk in the Spirit and Not in the Flesh (Galatians 5:16)
Spiritual sensitivity helps you discern and avoid danger.

c) Cultivate a Strong Prayer Life (Matthew 26:41)
Prayer keeps you alert and resistant to satanic manipulation.

d) Separate Yourself from Unholy Alliances (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Sometimes, deliverance begins with disconnection.

Biblical Example: Joseph escaped the snare of immorality by fleeing from Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:7-12).

3. DIVINE INTERVENTION IN BREAKING SNARES
Only God has the power to break some deeply rooted satanic traps.

a) God Delivers Those Who Trust in Him (Psalm 91:3)
He rescues from the snare of the fowler and the deadly pestilence.

b) The Anointing Breaks Every Yoke and Trap (Isaiah 10:27)
Yokes and snares are destroyed by the power of God’s presence.

c) Angelic Help Can Be Assigned to the Righteous (Psalm 34:7)
God sends help to those who fear Him.

d) Praise Can Trigger Divine Deliverance (Acts 16:25-26)
Praise confuses the enemy and sets captives free.

Biblical Example: Peter was supernaturally delivered from Herod’s prison through divine intervention (Acts 12:5-11).

4. LIVING IN PERMANENT FREEDOM FROM THE SNARE
Freedom is not just an event—it must be sustained.

a) Continual Fellowship with God Sustains Freedom (James 4:7-8)
Submit to God daily and resist the devil consistently.

b) Renew Your Mind Daily with God’s Word (Romans 12:2)
Transformation begins in the mind, which must be guarded.

c) Surround Yourself with Godly Mentors and Community (Hebrews 10:25)
Spiritual support systems help you stand strong.

d) Be Watchful and Alert Always (1 Peter 5:8)
The enemy is always looking for open doors—stay vigilant.

Biblical Example: Paul lived above traps through discernment and spiritual discipline (Acts 16:16–18).

CONCLUSION:
The enemy’s snares are real, but the believer’s God is greater. No trap of the devil can prevail over a child of God who walks in wisdom, prayer, obedience, and divine guidance. God has promised escape, and that promise still stands.

Refuse to remain in any form of bondage. Rise with faith, apply the truths of God’s Word, and declare your freedom. You are not a victim—you are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens you!

1. Lord, open my eyes to recognise every snare the enemy has set for me.
2. Father, break every trap that has held me bound in any area of my life.
3. I receive grace to walk in wisdom, obedience, and spiritual discernment.
4. Deliver me from wrong associations that open doors to bondage.
5. I declare total freedom from every inherited and self-imposed snare.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. You are escaping every satanic trap—your soul is delivered like a bird from the snare of the fowler!
2. The Lord shall break every chain the enemy has used to tie down your destiny!
3. From today, your eyes are open to detect and avoid every hidden snare!
4. You will walk in divine liberty, and no bondage shall hold you captive again!
5. Every snare placed against your breakthrough shall scatter by fire in Jesus’ name!
