Description: God promises His children long life and divine protection, ensuring that untimely death is not their portion.

INTRODUCTION:
Untimely death is one of the enemy’s strategies to cut short destinies, terminate assignments, and rob families of joy. However, God’s Word assures His children of divine protection and the fulfilment of their days. As believers, we are not called to live in fear of premature death but to stand on the promises of God, who gives life abundantly.

The Scriptures are filled with declarations of long life and divine preservation for those who love and serve the Lord. When we walk in obedience to God’s Word and abide in His presence, we are surrounded by His shield of protection.

This message is a reminder that your life is hidden with Christ in God, and no force of darkness has the authority to terminate your life before its time. Untimely death is not your portion because the covenant-keeping God has spoken life over you.

1. GOD’S PROMISE OF LONG LIFE
God’s covenant includes satisfying His people with long, purposeful life.

a) God’s Word guarantees longevity (Psalm 91:16)
God Himself promises to satisfy you with long life as part of His salvation package.

b) Long life is a covenant blessing for the obedient (Exodus 23:25-26)
Serving God brings health, fruitfulness, and the fulfilment of your days.

c) God desires for you to complete your assignment (2 Timothy 4:7)
Your life will not end until you have accomplished your divine purpose.

d) God’s plans for you are of peace and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11)
His plans ensure your future is secured.

Biblical Example: Caleb testified at 85 years old that God had kept him alive and strong to possess his inheritance (Joshua 14:10-12).

2. DIVINE PROTECTION AGAINST THE ENEMY’S ATTACKS
God shields His people from the traps and arrows of the enemy.

a) God’s angels encamp around those who fear Him (Psalm 34:7)
His angels guard and deliver His children from danger.

b) The blood of Jesus is a seal of protection (Exodus 12:13)
The destroyer cannot touch those covered by the blood.

c) God delivers us from deadly assignments of the wicked (Psalm 121:7-8)
He preserves your life from all evil.

d) Faith in God silences the fear of death (Hebrews 2:14-15)
Christ has defeated the power of death and freed us from fear.

Biblical Example: Daniel was preserved in the lions’ den because God shut the lions’ mouths (Daniel 6:21-22).

3. LIVING WISELY TO PRESERVE LIFE
God calls us to walk in wisdom to avoid unnecessary dangers.

a) Wisdom adds years to your life (Proverbs 3:1-2)
Obedience to God’s Word prolongs your days.

b) Avoid reckless decisions and sinful habits (Ecclesiastes 7:17)
Careless living can shorten one’s life.

c) Honour your parents and authorities (Ephesians 6:2-3)
This command carries a promise of long life.

d) Walk in love and forgiveness (1 John 3:14-15)
Bitterness and hatred open the door to destruction.

Biblical Example: King Hezekiah’s wise prayer and repentance added fifteen more years to his life (Isaiah 38:1-5).

4. SPEAKING LIFE OVER YOUR DESTINY
Your words carry power to establish life and victory.

a) Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21)
Speak words of life over yourself and your family.

b) Declare God’s promises daily (Job 22:28)
What you decree will be established by God.

c) Reject every evil report and negative prophecy (Isaiah 54:17)
No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

d) Confess your faith in Christ’s victory over death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57)
Jesus has conquered death, giving you eternal life.

Biblical Example: The Shunammite woman declared “It is well” even when her son died, and God restored him to life (2 Kings 4:18-37).

CONCLUSION:
God has destined you for life, not death. The enemy may try to intimidate you with fear or attacks, but your life is hidden in Christ, and no plan of the wicked can cut you short.

Stand firmly on God’s promises, walk wisely, and continually declare His Word. Untimely death is not your portion because the covenant of life and protection speaks on your behalf.
