INTRODUCTION:
Life often presents barriers, delays, rejections, and disappointments. However, the child of God is not defined by limitations but by divine enablement. When God is with you, no opposition can successfully stand against you. The enemy may attempt to stop you, but God has made you unstoppable through Christ.
Being unstoppable is not about your physical strength or natural talent—it is about the power of God working through you. The Bible assures us that “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). This means that you are divinely equipped to overcome every challenge and break through every limitation.
In this teaching, we shall examine what makes a believer unstoppable, how to maintain the momentum, and what to do when you are faced with opposition. You were created to rise, to shine, and to advance, no matter the odds. You are unstoppable!
1. THE GOD FACTOR MAKES YOU UNSTOPPABLE
When God is with you, no man, devil, or situation can prevail against you. His presence guarantees victory.
a) God’s presence guarantees breakthrough
Moses understood that without God's presence, he could do nothing (Exodus 33:14-15).
b) God fights for the unstoppable
When Pharaoh pursued Israel, God fought for them at the Red Sea (Exodus 14:14).
c) Divine backing silences opposition
Every tongue that rises against you shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
d) The unstoppable always carry divine favour
Joseph was favoured by God and unstoppable despite betrayal and prison (Genesis 39:21).
Biblical Example: David defeated Goliath because the Lord was with him (1 Samuel 17:45-50)
2. FAITH IN GOD EMPOWERS YOU TO PRESS ON
Faith is the driving force that helps you persist even when the road is tough.
a) Faith overcomes the world
“This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).
b) Faith sees possibilities in impossibilities
Abraham believed against hope and became the father of nations (Romans 4:18-21).
c) Faith strengthens your inner man
Paul prayed that believers be strengthened with might through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17).
d) Faith ignores what is seen and trusts what is promised
“We walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood believed and was healed (Mark 5:25-34)
3. PERSISTENCE IS KEY TO BECOMING UNSTOPPABLE
The unstoppable do not quit—they keep moving forward regardless of resistance.
a) God rewards perseverance
“Let us not be weary in well doing…we shall reap if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).
b) Challenges build capacity for greater victory
Trials refine and prepare you for glory (Romans 5:3-5).
c) Never accept temporary defeat as final
A righteous man falls seven times but rises again (Proverbs 24:16).
d) Delay is not denial
Hannah waited and eventually received Samuel (1 Samuel 1:20).
Biblical Example: Blind Bartimaeus refused to keep quiet until Jesus answered him (Mark 10:46-52)
4. THE WORD OF GOD KEEPS YOU MOVING
The Word of God energises, directs, and empowers the believer for unstoppable progress.
a) God’s Word is a light in dark seasons
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet…” (Psalm 119:105).
b) The Word equips you with divine wisdom
It makes the simple wise (Psalm 19:7).
c) Speaking God’s Word changes situations
Jesus rebuked the storm with His word (Mark 4:39).
d) Meditating on the Word brings success
“Then you shall have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
Biblical Example: Jesus overcame Satan by declaring the written Word (Matthew 4:1-11)
5. THE HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERS THE UNSTOPPABLE LIFE
You cannot be unstoppable without the help of the Holy Spirit.
a) The Spirit strengthens the believer
“You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you” (Acts 1:8).
b) The Spirit reveals divine strategies
The Holy Spirit shows us things to come (John 16:13).
c) The Spirit helps you in prayer and weakness
“The Spirit helps our infirmities” (Romans 8:26).
d) The Spirit transforms your life continually
“We are changed into the same image…by the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Biblical Example: The apostles became bold and unstoppable after Pentecost (Acts 4:31-33)
